I have had an amazing experience with Trint. Thanks to Owen and Nina in understanding that the purchase was not something I was looking for and courteously have agreed to refund the amount charged on my credit card.

Will definitely use their service should the need arise.

Is there a way to get a refund? I stopped using the application due to the poor transcribing quality during the trial period and because of exams I forgot to cancel my subscription. I just got charged and I’d really like a refund

I signed up for the trial (the quality of the text from the audio recording was exceptionally poor) so I cancelled after one trial (and received an email from them to prove it) but they’ve charged my credit card despite that. So they really cannot be trusted at all.

I forgot to cancel my subscription and they refused to refund me. I clearly did not use the software beyond the trial period but they still completely refused to refund me. I found this very unfair...
Will never use it again and do not recommend it. There are better and fairer options out there!

I have constant technical issues with the software, its slow, clunky, and often does not save work. I've lost at least two hours of productivity over the last day. Response from customer service was 'our engineers are trying fixing a bug' - not much help. Has the potential to be great software, but to sell it at the current price with the bugs it has is an absolute joke.

I was a daily power user since their launch. Great service, great transcription. Then they jacked their prices through the roof. I continued for a while but was suddenly locked out without warning. They said I had to pay $740 to access my data and continue using their service. No thanks.

Good software for the most part though it has problems with some accents. Would have continued to use it were it not so expensive, €55 on basic plan for 7 transcriptions a month is crazy. I didnt see this limit clearly signposted before signing up so €55 out of pocket. It doesn't take into account length of audio or size of file. Cancelled after two weeks.

Brilliant piece of software, I love it and we are using it at all times. One little thing worthy of note: although Trint is getting punctuation quite right, the way it is transcribed in French is ungrammatical. No big deal, but a wee effort on adding non-breaking spaces before question/exclamation marks and colons/semi colons would help. In English, it's absolutely top-notch. An essential tool I recommend warmly.

Trint is hands-down my favorite transcription service. It is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, with almost no learning curve. The first time I tried Trint was under a tight deadline when I needed to transcribe a Zoom work meeting with multiple speakers. I was so impressed with how quickly and easily I was able to accomplish this with Trint in a fraction of the time expected, thanks to the intuitive user interface.

I've been using Trint since it was pay-as-you-go, and ended up paying for a year subscription after they switched to that model. I probably won't be renewing it. Pay-as-you-go was the perfect model for me, since my transcription needs change a lot over the course of a year—and when I have taken advantage of more advanced features, they haven't been the best.

It's a great transcription service—the interface is intuitive and I transcribe things quickly and accurately and with way less of a headache than with any tool I've ever used. Customer service is friendly and responsive.

The problems:
- The pricing structure isn't very accessible to independent freelancers.
- More advanced features that would add to the value either aren't available—I can't share with another Trint user without upgrading, for example—or leave something to be desired. I was adding captions to a video and thought it would be much easier to do an .srt export on Trint than entering things in manually, but the final result was sloppy, even when I manually spaced out bursts of text.
- Call recording isn't as versatile as a longer-standing, cheaper tool like TapeACall, and I still... have to pay extra on top of the amount that it's already kind of a strain to pay.

It is truly my favorite transcription tool, but just for straightforward transcription. I'm not sure I can justify the cost anymore, though.

The software and transcription speed, accurate, and helpful with english accents, it did struggle with non-english accents but I expected this. Seemed more intuitive and overall easier to use than competitors we've trialed in the past. Quick and easy editing. I used a free trial and will definitely choose again for larger projects. Excellent customer service after I forgot to cancel my free trial they refunded me the same day.

Horrible scam!! Not only did the transcription service work horribly! I cancelled it the same day I started the trial and even received and confirmation email saying it was cancelled then excatly at 12am they charged my account 85.00 causing my mortgage check to bounce which has caused me an additional 45.00 for the bounced check fee then I still can't pay it because now I'm out of over 120.00 and can't pay my mortgage!!
The contact number is useless and I sent a email to the"support" email address and nothing.

This app makes my life as a product marketer a lot easier. I can capture interesting content, accelerate insight gathering and create much more compelling content with Trint.

I paid for an "unlimited" monthly plan, and they cut me off 6 days into my subscription, claiming thta I was overusing their service. I thought unlimited meant unlimited? Seems like a money grabbing scheme, not to mention that the transcriptions were so innacurate that I had to spend hours correcting them anyway. Don't ever pay for this useless service unless you want to waste a bunch of money.

Accuracy was hit-and-miss. Then they switched to a fully subscription model, without proper communication, and kept my credit. Bad experience. Update: Trint support is responsive. I complained. Received polite responses, and eventual refund of unused credit. Best practice would have been automatic refund and communication when pay-as-you-go was cancelled, instead of making customers work for it? Free trial requires credit card details and automatic charges after trial period. This kind of opt-out/hope-customer-forgets/inertia-selling does not inspire trust.

Trint has been a great service for transcribing my research interviews. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it still struggles with correctly translating some English accents I've worked with. Most notably, it often gets Irish accents wrong on key words that may change the meaning of a sentence completely. So I still need to work through each transcript quite carefully. Regardless, it is an amazing product that has greatly increased my research productivity.

I signed up for the Trint trial to transcribe some customer interviews I’d been running. While I was getting it set up, I accidentally activated the subscription. I’m not quite sure what happened, but before I knew it I’d signed up for the yearly subscription of the Advanced Plan at the princely sum of £576.

I messaged Trint immediately, but because it was a Saturday, no-one responded. As I needed to get this work done urgently I decided to carry on. I didn’t think there would be an issue as it was no different to signing up for the trial plan and if the service worked well I was going to sign up anyway.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t work well at all. It was slow, clunky and the transcription was highly inaccurate. I set up the link to Google Docs so I could import my recordings directly from there. At first I tried uploading all of them in one go, but that wouldn’t work. Then I tried uploading two at a time, but it never uploaded the second recording. So then I tried uploading one at a time, which was painful and slow. I managed to upload 6 or 7 recordings before even that stopped working!

When Trint finally responded to my message, they said because I’d started using the Advanced Plan, they weren’t able to give me a full refund. I pointed out that I was still within the trial period, but they said that the trial only allows for 3 uploads, which had not been made clear at all.

They said they could do a pro-rata refund, which I agreed to as I didn’t want to pay £576 for something that didn’t work.

When I got the refund, they’d deducted £60, which was the cost per month if paid on a monthly basis. I can’t believe they charged me so much for one day’s use that was slow and painful at best. Not only that but they had the audacity to tell me it was a ‘good-will gesture’ as if they were doing me a favour. There was very little good will in that refund and I was insulted that they thought there was. All in all, it was an expensive mistake and a frustrating and disappointing experience.

The software and transcription speed, accurate, and helpful. The tools it offers you for editing save time on your projects. Doing these on my own would've taken hours. Other transcription services I've used don't have all the tools that Trint has. I would definitely recommend this for large projects.

As an individual user, Trint has gone from great to very expensive for what you get. I was one of the early fans when they had a pay-as-you go scheme. Sometimes I needed to do a lot of transcribing. Other times, it just wasn't needed. Then earlier this year, Trint announced that subscriptions were changing to an "all you can eat" model which might work for companies but ignores the way the vast majority of individuals work. It was definitely not what I wanted. They introduced some stupid system where, if you remembered, you could switch off the subscription for a month for 5 pounds. This is the health club subscription model. My pay-as-you go expired, and I lost about 20 quid of credit. That prompted me to cancel. I am glad to report I have since found much better alternatives, which turn out to be more accurate and have a vastly better audio syncing editor. I thank Trint for their time, but now I need to put this experience behind me and move on.

I was attempting to start a free trial, clicked a wrong button and £50 was instantly taken from my account. To give the company credit, they issued a full refund. Great customer service.
