I booked a apartment in Jakarta on Booking.com. I trusted Booking.com to check their accommodation providers. Unfortunately the apartment is managed by Travelio and I have had numerous emails from Travelio telling me that the apartment is not available and to cancel on Booking.com. The booking is not cancelable. If I cancel I will lose the money I paid. I contacted Travelio head office by email and they keep telling me to cancel and I keep telling them to contact Booking.com and cancel. They are scammers.

2. unprofessional office boy
3. Unprofessional and abusive customer service.
4. Poor standards of cleaning.
First time i did the booking, the office boy left without giving the keys.
The apartment was not cleaned, full of dust, spiders and insects. The mud was apparent in every corner and wall of the apartment.
The apartment had broken furniture and belonged in trash. The apartment very different from the photos. The photos in the travellio app were from 20 years when the apartment was brand new.
Nothing in the description was true.

finally, i moved to another unit,
The office boy only mopped the floor and left. Again the unit it full of worms, cockroches and mud.
Office boy didnt do any checking of items or match with the things provided.

ideally such company should be shutdown for fraud and cheating the customers.

It horrible company with no ethics and no values, and no respect for customer.

I will be taking them up legally and already appointed a lawyer to teach them a lesson.

As a first-time user of Travelio, my experience was nothing short of frustrating. The customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful, leaving me feeling abandoned when I needed assistance the most. Transparency is also a significant issue with this platform; critical information was either hidden or unclear, leading to unexpected challenges during my booking process.

Given these issues, I cannot recommend Travelio to anyone. If you're looking for a reliable and user-friendly platform, I suggest exploring other options to avoid the stress and disappointment I encountered.

My booking number is B9F2929F5F5 for Jakarta. Our experience of using your service has been extremely horrible.

Coming from Singapore, I feel really traumatised from using Travelio Service because there was so many utilities that was not working on the day that we arrived at the apartment.

Even after 2 weeks, the problems with the air-conditioning and stove remained unresolved. 

And while the unit was advertised that it came with WiFi, we don't have an internet in our unit for the past 2 weeks! Our own data roaming expenses have been rising fast! 

Instead of solving the problem, we are accused of causing the problem because we didn't report the issue within 2-days. But neither should we be expected to enter into an apartment unit that has so many utility problems.

And your customer service refused to even pickup the phone though we made many attempts to reach you. The way that you have handled the problem is dishonest and unprofessional. 

Please advise how should I manage the issue. Otherwise I would escalate this issue to the relevant consumer body.

This is a scam company!!!!!

After paying for rent via credit card they not accepting my credit card for payment for deposit and demanding cash payment of deposit in cash given to roomboy!!!!!

This is scam company better to use other international companies like Agoda or booking.com or trip.com

beware of this company, I rented for a year but they didnt provide anything correcty after I paid for all their service.

I paid for general cleaning, when I check in the room is very very dirty, smell of trash and trash everywhere, the aircon are broken, the light broken, the curtain is dirty and broken. mostly inside the unit is broken and not like their advert in their page. dont get fooled by picture on their page. is fake, is scam.

they require deposit, but when you ask th deposit they will avoid and keep asking all document that you already give them.

I losses my valuable items when I checked in, I put my bad on the table. there is so many people inside the unit fixing the unit, there is no lock or key for any room inside the unit. even for the main door they give only 1 key no spare and you need to copy or change.

they provide kitchen tools which is garbage, the cleaning tools also garbage. the sofa very very dirty. I am sure the previous tenant was a women with hijab because I saw lots of needle on the floor she throw after using it. even under the bed there is needle. very very danger if you bring kids with needle hidden under sofa, table, dining chair.

there is cockroach under kitchen sink, when I open it the run everywhere, when I complain they want to put extra charge on it. they dont check inside the room properly, they have my contact details to inform me if the room not ready but they didnt. when you check in on their page like they guide any issue inside the room after check they will ignore.

please dont get temp by their advert for cheap room. it only advert, in reality they didnt provide anything proper. is not cheap anyway, they will put extra charge and you'll received none sense invoice.

please avoid if you dont want to get scam or trouble like me. avoid at any cost. just rent a hotel even tho paying a little bit extra but will give you also extra comfort during stay.

Bad customer service. I rent a 3BR apt with my family and very dissatisfied because they mentioned that there's water heater but it never worked. I complained almost every single day but they didn't do anything, until i gave up after 2 weeks. There are lots of cockroaches at the kitchen, one of the airco isn't cold enough. They asked me for a review afterwards, but when i wrote an honest one and i left a negative one, they didn't put that on their website. What a joke!

Do not use this service under any circumstances!

While the locations and the (supposed) amenities give the impression that it can't be as bad as people say - it can and is!

The apartment is filthy (not dirty or slightly neglected, but filthy!), the dishes in the apartment were uncleanable, the linens disgusting, and I wouldn't touch the rice cooker with a pole. The bathroom exhaust has never been cleaned, and the AC is leaking water everywhere. Fortunately, there will be plenty of cockroaches to keep you company while you're trying to deal with this mess. They are also more responsive than their support.

Sooooo worst Company ever. very disgusting!!!

Travelio is quite literally the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with - completely disorganised, dishonest and utterly incompetent. Last week I waited in the apartment for 3 days for a technician to fix a leaking window - they kept lying that the technician had tried to contact me, but they refused to provide a screenshot showing proof of that - but that's just the latest example of 2 months of hell with this company.
Here's a sample:
-App malfunctioned, causing a delay in move-in preparations
-After being 'cleaned' by Travelio staff, apartment was filthy with dirty dishes in the cupboards, leading to a cockroach infestation
-Many of the items on the inventory list were missing, and if I had not checked carefully they would have charged me for them on move-out
- Travelio charged for internet service despite there being no modem in the apartment and no service because the owner had not paid the bill for months. Travelio took more than a month to refund the charge. I had to install my own internet, which they threatened to penalize me for doing.
-Hundreds of messages (screenshots available) and around 3 hours of paid phone calls with customer service
-Customer service rarely solved the problem, but new messages were answered by a different person asking the same questions previously answered and asking for photos and videos that were previously sent (and that they could have seen by scrolling up), so I had to send the same photos multiple times
-Travelio said they would charge the customer (me) for everything I find wrong with the apartment unless it was reported within 48 hours of move-in (see numerous other complaints about this from other people who have been defrauded by Travelio). For instance, the refrigerator stopped working, but that was my fault - I had to pay for a technician to visit (which he did after numerous no-shows). When the owner eventually replaced it, the new fridge was less than half the size of the old one. When I sent Travelio side-by-side pictures of the two fridges, they kept insisting that according to their records, the two fridges were the same size - despite the evidence in front of their own eyes.
I could go on - there have been about 10 things wrong with the apartment that took weeks to fix - but I think you get the picture - a company that treats its customers like dirt, and actually tries to defraud them by charging for things that were already broken. I am quite certain that my deposit - which they say will take 2 MONTHS to refund after move-out - will not be refunded in full on some spurious excuse.
Please, for your own sanity, avoid this company like the plague. There are plenty of other ways to rent apartments.

First and last. scam

Very poor, very disappointed

1st and the last booked from this app. I booked the unit in the Anderson tower (2307) on 8th March 2024, first time check in, the room is dirty, too many cockroach and garbage. Luckly that also have roomboy saw that. I also complained to change the room, but they offer pest control and that useless. Till i checkout still have cockroach. Offer price with room condition is not affordable. Support too slow respond and waste my time.

travelio is scam. AC wasnt working time moved in. They promised to fix. 7 days passed. No news

In their app apartment description there is fixed internet. So I paid. And apartment dont have internet. Even there is no modem. Travelio CS promised to fix. Still no internent.
Avoid their service. As there is no service. Only scam

Horrible company, lied after lied. Taking people money without service. Place was very bad not the same as in the picture be careful dealing with this company do not trust them.Never ever using this company again. It’s happen 2 weeks ago. I cheated by this company.

Travelio have no customer service.. the photo's and descriptions on the website are very misleading. I booked and paid for an apartment for a month when I arrived it had not been cleaned.. the toilet was broken the AC in the bedroom was broken and the washing machine was broken and flooded the floor. I spent the entire month while Travelio arranged to get things fixed and refused to refund any money. Then after all that... I'm still trying to get back my deposit as they claim items are missing ... even though their own staff checked the unit and signed it off when I moved out... Never again DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !

Bad expirience and Bad service!
Seumur2 saya sering menyewa apartemen lewat berbagai macam aplikasi dan website, tapi baru kali ini saya mencoba travelio dan langsung experience nya buruk sekali.
Komunikasi sangat amat susah, ribet dan tidak responsif. Pada saat check in kamar belum belum di bersihkan, banyak aminities yg tidak ada dan tidak sesuai dengan yg ada di list aminities yg sudah di janjikan oleh pihak travelio. Bed linen banyak bekas bercak darah saya langsung complain dan minta ganti bed linen tapi itupun saya harus berdebat lama dulu dengan pihak cs travelio dan setelah berdebat panjang baru di ganti 1 minggu lebih 1 hari baru di ganti, coba bayangin bercak darah loh dan gak cuka 1 atau 2 saja tapi ada banyak. Saya cuma minta ganti bed linen bukan minta uang balik tapi itupun seminggu lebih baru di ganti, parah kan.
Saya bayar paket Internet juga dan internetnya dari awal gak jalan sampai sekrang pun saya susah stay disini 2 minggu masih ngadatbterus internetnya dan internetnya pun tidak langsung di sediakan di hari pertama saya masuk, saya harus minta dulu baru di antarkan haru berikutnya, padahal saya bayar dari haru pertama saya check in. Saya sama sekali tidak merekomendasi travelio kepada siapapun karena bukan saya saja yg bermasalah tapi banyak customers lain yg bermasalah dengan travelio begitu juga ibu saya yg menyewa travelio di apartemen lain yg jauh lebih mahal tapi keadaan apartemen beliau lebih buruk dari pada apartemen saya, sampai ibu saya juga marah karena dia bayar 15jt sekian untuk stay 20 hari di apartemen mewah di daerah epicentrum.
Ini bener2 agent penyewaan yg paling patah yg saya pernah coba! Jangan sekali2 coba travelio deh, sumpah gak pake bohong!

First apartment that I booked and paid full was canceled by one side (the apt owner). Took a few weeks for Travelio to relocate me to the second apartment that fits my requirements. When I get there after paying the check in fee though after hours of international flights, we came to find out that the apartment does not have running water. Apparently the owner has not been paying their water bills for a lot of money. The agent who let me into the apartment left without letting me know what's going on. Very frustrated.

I have the worst experience booking an apartment using this app,
first place that i booked didn't get approved for almost 5 days (the app says i would get confirmation max in 3x 24 hours) when i called customer service after the 5th day - they said the unit is no longer available,
the app also automatically deducted the deposit fee from my debit card even though i havent got any booking confirmation and i have to wait for almost a month to get it refunded,

Booked the second apartment for only 1 night, according to the system i could check-in in 2 hours, i ended up waiting for almost 5 hours to wait for the key of the apartment delivered - their customer service is also hard to reach,

I would avoid using their service at all cost, at least until they improve their service!
