It's not a scam, but the customer service and terms and conditions are really bad. If you have a problem, you have a specific deadline for reporting said problem (48 hours for monthly rentals), and if you don't, it's your responsibility to fix that problem if you want it fixed. And if you report a problem within the deadline, it's 50/50 if they'll fix it or not. Certain things go fine, other things are repeatedly ignored. Once I noticed a dirty and nasty small curtain on one of the doors and reported it. They took the curtain saying they'll clean or replace it, but they never did, even after repeated inquiries to CS.
The ratings of the apartments are a joke, written by the staff. Some of the reviews on Google Play are two, which surely must be a breach of Google's T&C. Find a trustworthy agent instead.

My experience with Travelio was extremely disappointing.
I checked out properly, returned everything, and followed every rule — yet they expect customers to wait one full month just to receive their own deposit.
This is completely unreasonable and not aligned with international hospitality standards.
What made it worse is their slow inspection, unclear process, and delayed communication.
As a traveler visiting Indonesia, this left a very negative impression.
Companies dealing with tourists must be faster, more transparent, and respectful of customers’ time.
I will not be using Travelio again, and I strongly advise others to be cautious.

This app is the worst choice for finding apartments in Indonesia.
I’ve used this app many times for monthly bookings, and every time I requested a service or had an issue, I had to deal with the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. They never understand the problem, the service is always delayed, and they make you feel guilty just for asking for help. There is no respect for your time—you’re expected to wait without any explanation of how long it will take. There’s also no way to claim your rights or get a refund from them.
Believe me, what you pay is not worth it considering the apartment’s condition and cleanliness. I would rather stay in a hotel and pay extra than use this app again.

There's so much small imperfection on how they operate. It's about schedule on-time, how they resolve problem, minor bugs and inconvenient through the apps. But they have a good intention and willingness to support their customer.

Putus kontrak lbh awal krn kecewa dgn cara kerja Travelio. Kalau di tanyakan masalah selalu d lempar2 dan tidak selesai.
Saat Serah terima terakhir saya d paksa tanda tangan dl padahal kerusakan ada d unit saya dan d kasih tau akan d laporkan k tim terkait untuk kerusakan nya. Ternyata saya d suruh benerin sendiri dan Travelio tidak mau mengakui kesalahan mereka. Kesalahan mereka karena kurang perhatian saat penyewa keluar dr unit. Dan kerusakan itu harusnya dari penyewa. Dan penyewa yang harus ganti. Karena jeleknya Travelio saya ya g harua tanggung kerusakan sendiri.

I deposited an apartment unit in Travelio. At first it went well, but the last apartment unit that I deposited was not rented for 10 months and when I asked to terminate the contract, the process was very slow so it was difficult to me because the unit could not be deposited with another broker. Customer service and field staff did not work well
Deserve minus stars
Deserve minus stars. Very poor management and CS for renters. Never communicate IPL has to be paid 3 months up front. Very late in sending the bill with only 1.5 working days remaining for a large sum of bill. The CS answers is just copy paste "sorry, but you have to pay". no solution to even get another week or day of extension, just giving "don't care, not problem, go f* yourself" attitude.

If I could I want give super minus star. I am landlord and tried to lease my space. After paid admin fee they keep delaying my application until 8 monthssss!!!! its very unbelievable!!!!! many reason by reason by reason and they are not very professional at all!!!! after ask me pay the admin fee, they asked me paid for some extra money for some supplies, but they didn't buy the supplies!!! Very bad service!!!
Poor service at Travelio, do not book with them
This company is not customer focused. Process of booking, getting keys and when things go wrong are all problematic. They gave me wrong key for the lift but I could not get any help. They use WhatsApp often an AI, their phone is not answered. The apartment was not clean and many things went wrong. They are hard to deal with and not customer focused. I have been frustrated and will not use them ever again.
Confusing Scammer's like Messages
Yesterday I made a booking for an appartment on booking.com. Everything was fine until an hour later, came messages from whatsapp: the appartment is not available in june, 4 months ahead. They suggested another apartment, in different area, I refused. I informed this to booking.com, they don't read my complain and Travelio reconfirm I will get the appartment. This morning they offer me another apartment in the same building, i accepted it but I have to provide my email to them. I did not. I contacted Booking.com by phone, after 20 minutes wait, I got somebody and can finally cancel this without penalty. So if you see this name on any OTA platform, don't book. If you do, you'll regret big time
Transparency needed
On behalf of me, my niece booked an apartment in Transpark Bintaro, Jakarta, from 5 December, 2024 to 4 January, 2025.
The apartment is clean, facilities are good.
At the beginning of booking, we required to pay 6,1 million rupiah for deposit and by mid February 2025, we got a refund of 2,740,000 with no details of the expenses. I am aware that electricity are excluded on the rent and there was no internet in the room to start with. But I still think transparency for the use of the deposit money will be a good gesture i.e electricity bill receipt.
Another surprising thing is, at my niece's travelio account, someone had put their version of their review on the apartment and had given 5 star ratings. I am not sure how this could happened but ny niece has now changed her travelio password for security reason.
VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
To all other travellers who wish to book via Travelio, please DO NOT, I repeat, please DO NOT book with this company.

Hati2 saat serah terima mesti di cek detail brg yg hilang & rusak , , stlh 1 hari stlh serah terima kami baru sadar bahwa ada brg yg hilang , tapi dari pihak travelio tdk mau tanggung.
IPL kalo sewa 11 bulan maka tidak di tanggung , tamu sewa 11 bulan dan cek out masuk lagi 1 bulan , mk terhindar dari IPL. Tapi pembyran dihitung harga tahunan , unfair utk pemilik!
Jangan mau pembyran perbulan jika sewa per tahun..
silahkan di cek teliti semua perjanjian yg ada.

Rent a unit at treepark city Tangerang. Did not subscribe for their internet service and their ppl come and took away the router. My bad for not taking photo of that fellow. Upon check out one year later, Travelio demanded me to pay for the router at absurd price which i rejected. Now they refuse to pay back my deposit. Be careful this company is out there to cheat money. DO NOT engage their service.
