Very much enjoyed the whole experience, but a big shout out for Margret out tour guide she was warm welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, in my view she made the holiday very enjoyable for everyone.....

We had not been to Sicily before. We loved it. Everybody we met was very friendly- in particular the staff in the hotel restaurant, but also the local residents. Our hotel accommodation and food were of a high quality. Our tour guide and driver, Silvana and Giovanni, did a great job.

Everything was well organised hotels were great and the food was great .Really appreciated the packed lunch .Our guide Isabella was amazing so knowledgeable and great patient.Would definitely recommend the company to other travellers and would definitely use your company hopefully next year for my second Camino

Went to Algarve Portugal trip for 7 nights. Hotel was first class with the exception of not enough staff to clean tables at poolside bar where tables were regularly full of used cups/ glasses etc and were left like that for a long time. Staff at hotel were great and helpful.
Trips were lacking as 2 were 1/2 day trips which were rushed and didn't allow much time to take in sights of towns visited. Not much time allowed for on return trip at airport as by time we got through book in and security it was less than 2 hours to flight time

An excellent service - from start to finish complete attention to detail - wonderful accommodation and guides - would not hesitate to recommend this company

Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Andalusia. The two hotels were excellent and the cities and attractions we visited were world class. However, the buses used were rather 'tired' and a little grubby, with drooping head-linings and rusting window surrounds. Most disappointingly, the one and a half hour journey to the airport in 30C+ heat at the end of the holiday was extremely uncomfortable as the air conditioning on the bus was not working!

Our trip was to Slovenia september 2026. The plan for the holiday was very well thought out. It kept everyone active and interested. The hotels were very comfortable and friendly, but above all our guide, Natašha was fantastic. She not only made sure we were all suitably able and prepared for the walks but she chatted and mixed with everyone on the group, always with one eye out for someone who might need help.

We had a very good experience. Our guide was excellent. The hotel was very good also.

We had two wonderful guides who were adept at assessing our needs and adjusting the walks to cater for them by providing choice.
The hotel and staff in Lanjarón were amazing. The food was excellent .

recently return from trip to birritz and lourdes. a few hiccups happened. our hotel rooms were not available when we arrived in birritz at 9 in the morning! . this was not acceptable. we were charged 19 euros for breakfast! the rest of our trip was excellent , especially our tour guide anna in lourdes. we have done several trips with td and will again in the future

Fantastic scenery. Also, everything promised on the website was delivered thanks to efficient booking staff, tour guide and coach driver. And the weather was great too!
Holiday: Western Canada and the Rockies

I recently travelled to the Sorrento Coast, Pompeii & Capri with the Travel Department. The overall holiday was very enjoyable, and the excursions were excellent. However, the hotel let the experience down in a few important ways.
The hotel was too far from the center of Sorrento, making it costly to travel in and out by taxi. Although a shuttle service was provided, it had to be booked well in advance and only accommodated eight people, so it was rarely possible to secure a place.
The hotel itself was old‑worldly, with beautiful views and the rooms were acceptable, but the evening meals were disappointing. The food was bland with very limited variety, and surprisingly there were no lasagne or pasta dishes offered — which felt unusual given we were in Italy.
Overall, the trip was memorable and enjoyable, but the hotel location and dining experience need improvement.

Fantastic holiday, hotel was lovely, the guide Max was absolutely fantastic.

Wonderful experience with excellent guides..Hotel was very nice and meals were good with attentive staff..will definitely consider another TD Active holiday. Highly recommended .

We had a great week of hillwalking with our excellent guides, Hose and Poala, who were very kind, caring and professional.

Very helpful,friendly staff. Small mistake with spelling one of our names which was a problem when checking in but not serious. Very well organised. Good value.
