I just want to say that as a cleaner of Smyths they really need to keep their disabled toilets in proper check, I was in yesterday morning to work my shift and with another two cleaners, the toilet was out of order and the other cleaner had the key to open the door to go in to see to the issue, and what I saw was absolutely vile disgusting, I had to walk away as my stomach was anything but good, I won't use language on here but it was everywhere z all over the top of the toilet all on the walls and on the pipes along side the toilet, yes really hygienic to leave like that one of the other cleaners couldn't go in either as he was weak stomached as well, so lucky one of the 3 of us was able to handle it, I think that's the worst I have seen any toilet that I have cleaned and in my 3 year's of been a cleaner, im sure that something could have been done instead of leaving it in that condition to us to deal with, as cleaner's they really do get taken for granted, and it's then an " ah sure leave it, the cleaners will sort it when they come in" this is no excuse to put us in that situation, just because we are there to do out job doesn't mean you can leave it there, I hope I never come across this again, I was almost sick when I seen it , sort your system out.

Joke of a company cancel orders 3 days before Christmas and still I haven’t received my refund.. Emailing and have been contacting the customer service and no replies.. Go into the shop and the staff are rude and don’t want to help think they can get away with taking peoples money and not refunding will be taking this further

Today December 27th when children who have received Smyths gift cards for Christmas, not one store can accept them, having traveled to two stores, ( the first, Tallaght, had a notice at the entrance) the second Fonthill had a member of staff engaging with customers to inform them. This young man was very polite and engaging, he had a difficult task as some customers frustration did boil over.

Smyth's not honouring their vouchers in Ireland, saying it's a computer glitch which is just bullshít.

It's Christmas eve I'm putting together my sons bike and the front wheel does not belong to the bike RoyalBaby is the make. My son is Autistic thanks for ruining Christmas day. I will be in Athlone on Wednesday and God help the Management team when I get there.

I ordered a bike for my daughter for her santa present on their click and collect got a message it was ready got to shop bike was not available told to come back when I receive contact from manager received a message come and collect bike was not ready I did not really mind the manager told me not to worry the messages were automated just to wait till I get a call before I left the store I asked him would it be cancelled as this is their policy I explained that i would not be able to get a bike if they cancelled it he assured me that the bike would be available in 2 days and it would not be cancelled then I left arrived 2 days later everything was fine had the bike at the door doing the final bike check they do just about to sign warrentee and leave all of a sudden the manager is asking me to pay acting like he had no idea wat was going on started talking like a machine it's store policy to cancel all uncollected items I got upset raised my voice I could not believe what I was hearing from this person like an episode of the twilight zone thanks smyths you have destroyed my child's Christmas.

Purchased a number of items for Xmas amounting to well over €300 on the understanding it was €10 of every €100 spent. Transpires only one €10 discount applied to my total purchase, irrespective of how many hundreds I spent. Person at checkout could have advised me of same.

2 separate online orders in the last month. Both took almost 1 week to arrive (1-3 days on site) thankfully neither were rush jobs so take note. Smyths need to move away from DPD, I was told no driver for my area hence the delay!

The assistant leah ( tall , slim, long blonde hair) she was so polite and helpful, took her time helping me to find certain figures. Navan store.

Unhappy experience in Castle Vale Birmingham store.We buy a gaming chair with 170 pounds on 27.07.23 and we come bach next day on 28.07.23 to the same store for return bach the item because the item was în the store up on the raching and we didnt see that the char is verry short was not up and down wich
we buy but the casier Mohamed he said that if the box is open we cant return back,olso he was verry unrespectful because was ironic smilling to my huspend. From my heart I will not recomand this store to nobody because ones if you buy expensive items they will not accept to return the items back.In England I didnd see any other stores wich you cant return the item back and they are not accepting, smiths toys is the one shop wich are not accepting its back.i had realy bad experience with them,I ring customer service for complain but nobody was answer to my phone call.

I bought a drum as a birthday present for nephew. The quality of it was horrific. Absolutely shocking. If you are lucky enought to be reading this review, take this as a warning not to buy these drums from Smyths. It is like throwing money away!

Went to store in Portsmouth to get a car seat for 4 years old child had bad experience with the staff. She told me that the car seat is not refundable so we have to try it before buying. I spent so much hours to choose a seat because the staff told me the seat is too big to my son instead that the staff proposed more expensive and smaller one to me. I asked my son tried and realised that the seat will small very soon. But she gave the answer of not need to worry as kid tends to grow taller not larger.
Really? I want my son to grow with seat until 12 years old but it already seemed small now. Finally, the staff got another client who come to refund the seat and ignore me when I needed help. I was very helpless without knowing how to extend the seat. I asked another staff to help me but they neglected my request again.
I don't want to wait anymore. Finally I decided to take the 'larger one'. She was not happy and told me it's up to you but mutted with her colleague on the phone she has been wasted for so much time because I chose the cheap one she thought not good.
Anyway, I got my seat and paid on the till. But I needed help to carry to my car while I was alone and had my son in my hand.The staff in the counter was so unhappy to ask someone to come.
Finally, a man came to help. He literally just dropped the seat on the floor in front my car and left.
What a bad experience I had today. No more shopping in this store. I prefer buy on Amazon, easy to return and refund.

I bought a car seat in Smyth's Galway a few weeks ago, it was a display model and the last one they had.
We installed it in the car & it was a disaster, it wouldn't tighten & it felt unsafe. We spent ages going through each strap to figure out what was wrong but to no avail.
I brought it back to Smyths in Galway & parked outside the door. I am also expecting a baby so I couldn't take the car seat out to carry it inside.
I met a girl working there when I went inside, I explained the situation and she said she'd have a look. She could see there was something wrong somewhere but she'd need a closer look. So she took the car seat away upstairs & brought it back to me a little while later explaining what had been wrong and how she had rectified it. She stated if I still wasn't happy that we could swop or refund it, I liked the car seat and said I'd try it out. Throughout the whole interaction she was kind, friendly and so efficient. She really went the extra mile for me and I could tell she was a great worker, I felt lucky that I had seen her first when I entered the store. So thank you Kelsey, you are a wonderful young lady & the car seat has been perfect since.

Very disappointing customer service experience in Smyths toystore Kinsale roundabout Cork, Casey in customer care called a mother RUDE who was extremely upset in not receiving an online purchase for her baby girl was absolutely shocked at the lack of empathy for this woman whose purchase online never arrived. Clearly this staff member has had no training in customer service.👎

Terrible customer service yesterday in waterford. Lied to by staff member and then spoke to manger Danielle who had even worst customer service cleary never heard the word sorry before. Shocking service yesterday. Product marked wrong price and was not the only customer who had same issue.

Salford store refused to accept a return on a doll that stopped working after 1 day. Came to store within a week of purchase, so clearly in breach of Consumer Rights Act. BEWARE!!!

Visited Preston store to buy car seat. We were served by Jess she was amazing. New all about the products, expertly fitted the car seat for us. We bought two, she was so good.
