I got gel nail extensions with bespoke nail art last Friday - a Birthday present. They said they were unable to do the design I liked or anything similar... I found a different design for them to paint which they did a fairly mediocre job of doing.

However, the real problems came once I left the appointment. Within 4 hours the gel nails started to fall off, all of them had fallen off by Sunday. Additionally my fingers were painful and swollen from the manicure.

I contacted the Whatsapp number on Friday but got no response. I emailed them and they have offered to fix the failed nails, but my fingers were too painful to go back, and it would have been pointless anyway as the rest fell off so soon after. Then they offered me store credit. I explained that I don't want store credit because they clearly can't be trusted not to hurt me or to do a decent job. But apparently it's totally impossible to get a cash refund. I was told I could use the credit to buy their gift cards or products - but why would I want to gift this useless service to anyone? And why would I need over £100 worth of nail-polish?

I'm really disappointed not only with the service provided but with the failure to resolve the issue in a satisfactory manner!

Booking and cancellation process is rubbish
I have tried to cancel appointment for over two hours on line as there is no phone number to contact them. I will now have to go to salon to cancel appointment or I will be charged. I will have to go to a different salon which is more customer friendly!!

Got my manicure done by Courtney and Pedicure by Nadia. Both were lovely, super friendly and did an amazing job. I’ll definitely be back and will be booking with them again.

Went to townhouse in Canary Wharf, my appointment started 15 minutes late and then the whole thing felt a bit tense and rushed. She attacked my cuticles with her clippers to the point it hurt, and filed my nails so shirt they’re like little stubs now. Definitely not the luxury/premium service they advertise or charge for. Wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly I get the Townhouse hype now. My sister always comes to visit with the prettiest nails and I was always like okay fine where are you getting these done because they always look so clean and glossy and expensive, so I finally booked in and I’m so glad I did.

The whole experience was just lovely from the moment I walked in. It felt really calm and polished but not intimidating, which I loved, and the staff were so sweet.

I’m a bit picky with nails because I want them to look fun but still neat and wearable, and they absolutely got the vibe. The colours were gorgeous, the manicure felt really careful, and I left staring at my hands the whole way home like a little freak.

My nails looked so pretty and fresh, exactly the kind of set where you suddenly start holding your coffee differently so everyone can see them. Such a nice treat-yourself moment and honestly just a really good experience overall. My sister was right, annoying but true. Will definitely be back because now I need consistently cute nails too.

Kataryna was amazingly meticulous with my polish manicure and the hand massage was fantastic! I’d definitely recommend her and Townhouse Meadowhall.

Lina was amazing!!

She did an excellent job on my manicure, suggested colours and gave me the best set I’ve had in a very long time!

She went as far as staying longer after her shift to make sure I get the manicure I wanted because it was my birthday!

Cannot recommend her enough and will come back to see her and the rest of the lovely team very soon!

Smiling welcome and acknowledgement. Interactive sessions not just being done to, asking how things feel and look. I even had the colour of my polish demonstrated on one of the staff to show me what the colour would look like which helped me decide on the colour polish I wanted. I received a friendly and professional service overall. Can't wait for next time 💅👍🏼

Very good pedicure, Elsie was very attendant and provided an excellent service. However, for just one appointment I have received a total of 9 emails which is ridiculous.

Quite simply, Daria is a perfectionist. The best manicurist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and lovely to talk to throughout the appointment. Thank you Daria for your 11/10 French manicures and kindness! See you soon.

Visited Townhouse in Putney after receiving a gift card from my son. Booked a £56 pedicure which is advertised as 55 mins long. It was 45 mins tops and felt rushed. The water is just water. No spa bubbles or anything to make it special. Quick cuticle removal and hard skin removal and then the gel polish. A quick moisturise and finished.
It did not feel luxurious or expensive. I have had multiple pedicure from shops not advertising them selves as high end brands that have been far better and cheaper.
I do not recommend Townhouse and I would not go back.
There is no customer service/ people you can speak to if you have a complaint. So you pay for something and if you are not happy with the service you receive….tough!!!!

Great service

I was really looking forward to this treatment which had been bought for me as a Gift card for my birthday. As a disabled customer I had to access the ground floor via escalators or lifts. Unfortunately the lift I usually use was out of order as was the escalator in the nearby store. This meant I had to exit the store and use the main escalator. So I was flustered when I arrived for my appointment. My very first customer interaction with TH was that Harley, a member of staff, said to me in a very aggressive way " you are eight minutes late so we won't be able to do your treatment". I was so upset as I was going on holiday to Spain the following day and had been really excited for this gel polish on my toes. My actual therapist then saved the day and said she was happy to do an express gel polish. The service from her was fabulous and professional but I would suggest to Townhouse that some retraining of Harley is called for. The customer is always right and to chastise a customer in front of staff and other clients is unacceptable.
