The shopping and customer service experience was good! As for the AP Mod Case itself, well I would give it a 4.5 Stars if I could. I've had it for a few days and I've been wearing the stainless steel band. After taking a few links out, I've found the fit I like, but the crown keeps hitting the back of my hand when I bend my wrist sometimes and it switches the face. If the crown was a little smaller it would be better, IMO. I almost have to wear it halfway up my forearm to keep it from hitting the back of my hand ..............LOL!!! I've only had it a few days, but some days I've really liked it and then the next minute, when the crown hits the back of my hand and changes the face, then I'm not liking is so much. I'm going to switch to the silicone band today and give it a go. I'm glad you have a 90-day return policy, because I think I will need the full 90 days to decide if I want to keep it. Thanks!

The case adds significant elegance to the Apple Watch. It is well crafted, easily installs the watch and can be sized without too much difficulty. Would buy the watch case in other metals. The downloadable watch faces were nice but don’t remain in place due to Apple Watch limitations and are extremely difficult to download and install.

March 27 2026 - The Mod Project....still haven't heard from your support team re order MOD2823 for 2 weeks now since resending the refund request as per your response below.....still a fraudulent company!!!!

March 18 2026 - Got a reply from this company, again insisting that any issue is being addressed as should be and that I should email their support which I did weekly until 3 weeks ago. I even gave their a heads-up that I will submit a review if I don't hear from them and heard nothing until now. I will email the support team with this screenshot and see if this company is telling the truth.

Don’t let this scare you. I had some issues in the beginning. From shipping time to downloading and installing faces. The time for shipment seemed a lot longer than I expected but patience has never been my strong suit. Especially when I pay handsomely for something. However, when it arrived, it was beautifully packaged and solidly built with a gorgeous design. Then I was not given the watch face download. It took several attempts to figure out what was going wrong. Claire, the only customer support specialist for now as a growing company, was patient and did a great job following up with me on every problem. In the end we exchanged 26 emails and in every one she was positive, professional, forgiving (have I mentioned I’m not the most patient person) and helpful. When she had me do a screen video of the enable and download process she figured out I didn’t have the mega file for the faces. She sent it immediately and I now have hundreds of extravagant faces to choose from. A face for every situation. They round out the sophisticated beauty of the case/band which is very solid. I need solid as i have big wrists and hands and my field of work is law enforcement. I’ve blown out numerous Apple Watch bands. I don’t see that happening with this one. I highly recommend!

I’m a real sucker for online marketing. Great pictures and a good ad and I’ll buy anything, usually to be disappointed once I get the item. When I got this AP MOD CASE, I wasn’t only surprised I was so impressed that I reached out to Lucas the founder and asked if I could do something to support his brand. I’ve gotten to know Lucas as a person a little more and understand his heart for wanting to produce something to represent what he stands for and that is QUALITY. He is more than Quality, he is amazing which is why these products he’s putting out are just that AMAZING! I’ve gotten so many compliments on these cases I don’t ever wear my Rolex or Breitling at all since Ive gotten my MOD CASE and that’s the Gods honest truth!! I’m not selling you on this I’m providing a public service announcement, hands down THE BEST!!

I bought an AP Mod case from them and accidentally ordered the wrong size. I emailed their support and they helped me replace it right away, which I really appreciated. The new one fits perfectly and the quality is really nice. Shipping was fast too. Overall, I’m really happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for a good Apple Watch case.

I’ve been using the AP Mod case for a while now and I honestly love it. It feels really solid in hand, fits perfectly, and the design is clean. You can tell it’s well-made, and it makes my setup look and feel more premium. Definitely one of my best purchases.

My experience was great b/c of the customer service (shout-out to Claire!) I received the Mod watch case, impressed by the feel (not @ all heavy, but "weighty" enough). Well, somehow, the Digital Crown button was lost. I sent a email to the service staff and was so pleasantly surprised to find this company stands by its product. The company timely responded and sent a replacement crown button. Just made me realize that it's the service that matters to me when shopping online. Impressive. I'm ordering another Mod case (different color band)

I love my AP mod case. It makes my apple ultra 3 watch feel like a real watch and not some toy that everyone around me has. The customer service was also helpful when I needed it.

I had a very disappointing experience with The Mod Projects.

After a long delivery wait, I received what was clearly a used and defective product, despite ordering a new item. The protective plastic was already removed, the case had visible paint chips, sharp unfinished inner edges, and loose/rattling components. Several items were missing or broken, including tools and a bonus watch band that was advertised as part of the package. The bands included also did not match what was shown on the website.

Functionally, the product was poorly designed — the case blocked the microphone and speakers, making the watch unusable as intended. This was not a minor cosmetic issue; the product arrived damaged, incomplete, and not fit for use.

While customer service was polite in tone, the resolution process was extremely frustrating. Despite acknowledging that the product arrived defective and incomplete, the company refused to provide a prepaid return shipping label, even though their own refund policy states that defective items qualify for one. Instead, I was repeatedly offered partial refunds or free accessories, or told to pay international return shipping to Europe myself for a full refund.

This back-and-forth dragged on for days, with shifting explanations and no clear accountability. I ultimately had to threaten escalation to get the issue taken seriously.

For a company that markets itself as premium, this experience fell far short. Receiving a used, damaged product and then being asked to pay to return it is unacceptable.

I would not recommend The Mod Projects based on my experience, and I strongly advise others to be cautious.

If I could give a zero rating, I would. The case was received several weeks late. The screws on the case are not screws, they’re cheap push pins. Two of them fell out. Instead of replacing it, they sent me two push pins that had to be superglued back on (absolutely junk). They then offered a 30% refund and 2 free straps. It’s been 5 months and I have not seen the refund or a new case.

Absolutely no follow up and every time I follow up (oh yeah( still not resolved), a “Claire” admits to their incompetence and apologizes but NO resolution.

If you are thinking of buying anything from them, stay away like the plague. You might as well throw your money out the window. I can’t urge everyone to stay away from this company.

They couldn’t supply my order so I cancelled, been waiting weeks for a refund, I have sent several emails and get replies saying sorry for delay and asking finance team to prioritise my refund. Latest email saying re escalated and asked for managers attention, but still no joy. So I have now contacted my credit card (Amex) to open dispute with The Modproject.

Their products are designed well with simplicity in mind to be able change bands, and the customer service is top notch. They were very good at responding to my emails within a day or less and taking great care of me.
