fantastic customer service. I recently bought a DAC which had a non-Indian compliant plug for the DC adapter. Hificat included an Indian adapter separately. Carmen in customer service is very responsive and I have had absolutely no-complaints with their delivery timeliness (though they have to deliver in India).

The issue was acknowledged early on and explained transparently, which I appreciated. Communication throughout was clear, responsive, and technically informed — never rushed or dismissive. Options were discussed openly, without pressure, and with a clear focus on finding the right solution rather than forcing a quick outcome.
The process did take longer than a straightforward resolution, mainly due to coordination with the manufacturer in China. That said, communication was consistent throughout, expectations were managed realistically, and the issue was followed through to a satisfactory resolution.
In the end, the solution was to move to the Gustard U26, which turned out to be the right choice. The time taken felt justified by the result.
Overall, the situation was handled professionally and with care, and the experience left me confident in HiFi Cat as a retailer. I would be happy to deal with them again.
