The Ginger Pig Arvostelua 

Told me they couldn't deliver my Christmas order, a week before Christmas, when it was too late to order from anywhere else.

They blamed the courier but even after they cancelled my order, they continued to advertise on their website and social media that they were taking orders for Christmas delivery. I simply don't believe that they 'tried everything' to get my order to me.

Not to be trusted.

The Ginger Pig cancelled my Christmas order at less than a week's notice. Happy to blame DPD and the strikes. Not happy to take any responsbility nor do anything about it.

I've been a customer of the Ginger Pig for over 15 years. Their product is great. Their customer service is not.

They do not deserve your business - Avoid and go elsewhere

Cancelled my Christmas order in Christmas week. Struggling to get anything from anyone now. Pitiful service- ops manager doesn’t even seem to care.

absolutely shocking despite pre ordering my food almost 3 months ahead. my order had to be cancelled today as it would not arrive in time. this order was missed by ginger pig. despite them blaming it on dpd etc, cause there was no warning of this, on there websites, instagram or any other socials. saying it’s in my area i have checked with dpd in my area, all as normal. i sent a email out in the morning asking for tracking for my order for the next day, out the blue i got a voicemail a email reply to say that the order would be running later by, 3 days or up to 6 days. this food was intended for a dinner party for thursday even and it’s all ruined by ginger pig. booked on 20th october for 15 december. that is shambolic to say the least

Appalling customer service. Package was delivered late to DPD, so was not dispatched to me, and subsequently destroyed. I only found out because I called them. Still haven’t been acknowledged or had a refund. Had to completely replan and rebuy a dinner for six at short notice. Do not trust them with your Christmas orders; they clearly can’t handle it.

I received a voucher for Fathers Day and there was a problem redeeming it due to my location. It was sorted quickly and efficiently by Lynsey, with grace and great humour! I haven't tried the products yet, but my experience of their service has been brilliant - thanks!

I just had the chicken and tarragon pie. It was not very nice, it desperately needs more liquid and thinner pastry

Took part in the butchery class Saturday night and had a brilliant time.

The butchers were amazing. Funny, charismatic, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. We all started pretty shy but by the end of the night(and a glass of wine down) I felt relaxed and ready to give it a go at home.

The shop itself is easy to find, beautiful to look at and be in, and a treasure trove of top quality meats, condiments and knives.

Fully recommend this shop and the butchery course, I went by myself but I think it would be amazing with your partner as well.

I have been using Gingerpig deliveries since lock down over 2 years ago. amazing service and great quality of produce. This year we ordered our turkey and Christmas trimmings and it was by far the best Turkey we have had - keep up the great work

I purchased a 3.6kg turkey crown from the Barnes store, which is where we do all our meat and poultry shopping. On unwrapping the turkey this morning, I was extremely disappointed to see the amount of long black feathers still in the bird.

I didn’t expect to have to pluck the turkey myself on Christmas morning, (with eyebrow tweezers) after paying £110.00 for a turkey crown. Some of the quills wouldn’t come out and had to be cut out, leaving the skin in tatters. It took me 45 minutes to pluck it, leaving lunch an hour late.
In 40 years, this is the worst looking turkey, and most expensive, I have ever bought, although the turkey cooked nicely, the skin had to be discarded.

Me: Hello, may I have a 1kilo cote de boeuf please
Butcher: err, What do you want?
Me: May I have a rib of beef please?
Butcher: Oh, a rib of beef for eight did you say?
Me: No. It’s for 3 Please
Butcher: Anything else?
Me: Yes please, do you have any racks of lamb?
Butcher puts 2 racks of lamb down on the block and starts to cut the bone out. Just as....The other rude French butcher reaches over my meat with his POS machine, as the customer Next to me reaches out with his card - the transaction is made above my meat!

Me: Please do not reach over my meat.

While my meat is still being cut on the slab, the customer next to me has to pay again so the same Ignorant butcher reaches over my meat again!

Me: I put my hand out. Please, do not reach over my meat. Why can’t you walk round? Common sense please!

The one who is serving me reaches out with the POS and takes my payment, he doesn’t even bother to mention the total cost, or say please pay, nothing!!!!
This really is astounding!!

However, the Butcher Is silent, says nothing: no manners, no merry Christmas, not even a thank you!

Men just don’t get the subtleties do they, absolutely pathetic that the Frenchman didn’t understand me the first time I gestured with my hand to push his pos away. Then he did the same again! How defiant.
Anything could have been be dropped on my meat, hair, fluff, germs. I’m really put off eating it now.

Me: How much is that rack please
Butcher: about £30
No!! the cost was nearer £40

Your staff are rude.
Your staff never say please or thank you.

The men who serve are so ungrateful that I am Helping to keep them in a job, they don’t say good morning, good afternoon, please or thank you!

Horrible experience, I never want to shop here again.

The produce is good but the customer care is dire. I have been an extremely good customer for five years and after the way I was treated today I have cancelled my Christmas order and will never return. I have now placed my order with The Butchers Table St Johns hill, where the produce is fantastic and most importantly they are extremely pleasant to deal with.

My husband and I went to the Hove restaurant last night for our wedding Anniversay. Originally seated by the kitchen door so asked to be moved. No problem at all. Service was impeccable throughout (even though it was busy), with such a sweet and helpful waitress. The food was 5* on all counts and can't wait to return. Thank you!

Exceptional customer service in-store and always the highest quality meat! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a more sustainable source for your meat.

I was introduced to this company by my daughter who lives near one of their shops and regularly buys a variety of products. The quality of the meat and poultry is outstanding - not to mention the sausage rolls!. I recently ordered some meats for delivery and there was a mistake with the delivered products. The company rectified this immediately and to my total satisfaction. Fantastic company and brilliant customer service.

Impressed by the quality of the meat. Lovely staff too - I always leave the shop with a smile.

Been buying great meat and poultry from this butcher at Borough Market for nearly nine years. Superb quality and cuts of meat such as Onglets and bavett not easily obtained in other outlets. Staff such as old timer Sam is great, but unfortunately the new ones such as the chap last week (with earrings) seemed not to be enjoying his job and was obstreperous and terse. Hopefully he is just a temp.
