Most importantly, the compulsory industry placement with an Australian technology company, together with the mentorship program, gave me invaluable practical experience and industry exposure. The program goes beyond simply teaching technical skills. The first part of the program was the Full Stack Data Professional course, which gave me a strong and well-rounded foundation across industry-relevant tools and technologies. We also completed practical projects and built a professional portfolio by the end of the course, which made the learning feel very applied rather than purely theoretical.

As someone returning to the tech industry after a long career break, I initially wasn't sure exactly which skills I needed to develop or how deeply I needed to learn them. The structured approach of the course gave me clarity, direction and confidence to move forward.

The second part of the program focuses on career preparation, which has been equally valuable. I updated my resume, cover letter, LinkedIn and SEEK profiles based on their guidance, received detailed feedback and recommendations for further improvement, and was supported with interview preparation as well. I really like that the support doesn't simply stop once the technical course is completed; they genuinely help prepare you for the job market.

Throughout the entire experience, everyone I interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, patient and genuinely invested in helping students succeed. There is a strong sense that the whole team works together, from course delivery and administration through to career support.
This has been one of the most valuable professional development programs I've completed in years. It has given me both the technical foundation and the confidence I needed to take the next step in my career.

If you're serious about becoming a data professional, especially if you're changing careers or returning to tech after some time away, I would definitely recommend TDAI.
