Tesco Whoosh Delivery
I was informed by your support team that my Whoosh order had been left at the fire exit on the wet floor. When I went to check this location immediately after the call, there was no delivery there.
I’m very concerned about this-if the order is meant to be handed over securely, why is a delivery code required to give to the driver, if they are going to leave the bags unattended outside on the street?
Leaving groceries at a fire exit, on a wet floor, without confirming receipt using the code is not acceptable.
Tesco shouldn’t allow this, I asked a refund and I’m never gonna order from Tesco again.
Price gouging at its finest
Price gouging at its finest. Tesco make hundreds millions each year to add to their billions in profit by selling your data. If you think for a second you're getting a good deal you're wrong. Always plenty of staff standing around in stores and never enough tills open because they want to herd you to the self scan till like sheep and make you do the work yourself. Just remember you're better than that and deserve more.
Fingers smell like used car…
Fingers smell like used car tyres/rubber/synthetic who knows what after detaching the leafs(specifically fingers used for that) and eating "Tesco Strawberry 227G" ? Seriously, what's on or in it ??? I will never get any "fresh fruits" from you again.

TERROR AT TESCO
Me and my friend were on a strict time limit to not our bus. When we stopped in the Mahon Point Tesco, we needed to refill our blood sugar we spent FOREVER looking for the sweet isle section (the whole shop is a maze) multiple members of staff ignored us as we searched clearly in distress, we even tried asking for help and yet again ignored. When we finally reached the isle everything was incredibly expensive. We picked up what we needed even so, and made our way to the till, only two tills were open even though there were loads of people there lines were massive (OPEN MORE TILLS CLEARLY!!!!!!) we were waiting for a ages combined with the time to find the isle, and we had about 5 minutes remaining. We began to feel impatient but we didn’t complain. Then the shop keeper (who before this was moving purposely slow, stalling, and giving us dirty looks just like the other workers might I add) left SHE LEFT HER TILL AT THE BUSIEST TIME OFF DAY TO GOSSIP/DISTRACT OTHER WORKERS (they were not discussing work subjects) AND DID NOT RETURN half way through checking out someone’s shopping. Leaving us all waiting, me and my friend eventually left with nothing, but it is impossible to leave without buying something.
Tesco, effectively stealing from customers
Did €340 shop in balbriggan, found double charging over home in D3. Contacted customer care and they insist we do a 1hr plus return trip to get a refund. After making some way with 1 customer rep (Stephen) by email, a different rep (Paraic) comes back to say, go to store where originally bought. Like he didn't bother looking at previous correspondence.
So, not only did tesco over charge, they are now wasting my time with nonsense suggestions.
Over the years, tesco have made numerous mistakes with our bill, but not once had their error been in our favor, which make you suspect how innocent these mistakes are.

Just been in to the Clarehall store, the amount of products that have skyrocketed in price since before Christmas is unreal, its a NO from me, Dunnes are the most reasonable on prices, which is where I went when I left your shop emptyhanded.

Down at Dodsboro
Dodsboro store.Bought €200 in clothes including a jacket, pjs, jumper etc. 1ST off as belt had spillages I asked if she coud remove the items from the basket. Received a very disdainful look for this reasonable request. They only had small paper bags and were telling me to buy plastic, well u should have paper for clothing. Bags were ripping they were so flimsy. Anyhow went out door bags in hand n it beeped. The cashier insisted she had removed tags. It turns how she had failed to remove 5 tags. I had a receipt, thankfully. Another staff member went thru bags and had to use machine to detect them all. Customer Service is all but gone, no apology or accountability whatsoever.
Don't use them
Don't use them
I've had rotten fruit and vegetables. Frozen and fresh goods due to expire.
They never come at the correct delivery slots.
Use Dunnes or another service. Abysmal
2. “Aggressive Behaviour and Illegal Refusal of Sale at Tesco Carlow”
Store: Tesco, Carlow, Ireland
I am writing to report an extremely unacceptable and unprofessional incident that took place today in Tesco Carlow. What happened was not just poor customer service — it was a direct violation of consumer rights under Irish law.
First, the shop assistant Sandra behaved in a very rude, disrespectful, and aggressive manner. I attempted to purchase half a tray of children’s yogurts which was clearly displayed on the shelf in open access. I have bought this product many times before in the same store, and every assistant was always able to scan it. A barcode has always existed.
Today, however, I was suddenly told that “there is no barcode” and was refused the sale without any proper explanation.
The most disturbing part is what happened next. As soon as I mentioned that refusing to sell an item that is displayed on the shelf violates consumer rights, the staff immediately ran to the shelf and removed the entire box, clearly attempting to hide the fact that the product was available. This happened so quickly that I did not even have time to take a photo or video.
This looks like intentional removal of evidence after refusing the sale, which is completely unacceptable.
When I asked to speak with a manager, the situation escalated even further.
Manager Niall behaved even more aggressively. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, he:
– raised his voice at me,
– threatened to throw me out of the store,
– said he would not allow me to buy anything,
– acted in a hostile and intimidating manner.
His behaviour resembled not that of a manager, but of someone misusing authority. This kind of conduct has no place in customer service and certainly not in a Tesco store.
---
📌 Legal context (Ireland)
This incident violates several consumer rights protected by:
✔ Consumer Protection Act 2007 (Ireland)
✔ Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) guidelines
✔ Tesco’s own Retail Code of Conduct and customer service standards
Under Irish consumer law:
1. Any item displayed on the shelf with a price constitutes an offer for sale.
A customer has the legal right to attempt to purchase it.
2. If an item is not intended to be sold, it must not be displayed in the sales area.
3. Staff cannot refuse a sale without a valid legal reason.
4. Staff must treat customers professionally, respectfully, and without aggression.
5. A manager is required to de-escalate conflicts, not escalate them.
Removing a product from the shelf to cover up an improper refusal is not only unprofessional — it is a breach of consumer protection rules.
---
⭐ Conclusion
The behaviour of both Sandra and manager Niall was completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and in direct conflict with Tesco’s own standards and Irish consumer law.
No customer should ever experience:
– aggression,
– threats,
– refusal of sale for a displayed product,
– or attempts to hide evidence by quickly removing the item from the shelf.
I strongly urge Tesco management to investigate this incident and take appropriate action. Staff who behave like this should not represent the Tesco brand or work directly with customers.
I would like to give positive feedback…
I would like to give positive feedback for a new team member at the Tesco Monread store. She was working on the till today and provided outstanding customer service. She was friendly. I also want to mention that she was wearing a blue top with a scarf, which made her easy to recognise. Please pass on my appreciation to her — she is doing an excellent job.
Tesco - Longford
I shop at Tesco, very regularly Longford based, and I cannot recommend here enough, revamped shop, it's huge! Well stocked, there's recently a new young lady in there and every store period, should have one! Best customer service I've witnessed in a long time! Made a big deal out of my kid, bonus points. But never not smiling! Helpful, even the higher ups are beyond helpful in the odd circumstances that I may need them!
I am a frequent shopper at Tesco Gorey…
I am a frequent shopper at Tesco Gorey Wexford. Mostly in the evenings after a long day at work. The store closes most days at 10pm, however when you arrive at 9.30 the front doors are always half closed with a certain security guard standing in the half opened door whilst reminding you that the sore is closing shortly. This evening after completing my shopping and using the self service check out, I noticed that one product a stuffed peppers had no barcode to scan & when I asked the assistant for help I was informed that I would have to go and & find another similar item myself which would have been fine if there was another similar item available. I'm sorry but not only has Tesco poor customer service put simply Tesco has No Customer Service.
Staff most obliging and knowledgeable.
Tesco Letterkenny. Efficient, knowledgeable and most helpful staff. Checkout staff courteous and friendly. Needed assistance with an item this evening and a male attendant on the drinks department went out of his way to succeed in helping me. I was really grateful to him. Prices very competitive. Online information very helpful and trustworthy. Other large supermarket outlets, should please copy. Service par excellence. Most highly recommended.
