Tea Around Town Arvostelua 

Do not book with Tea Around Town. I made a simple drop-down error on their website, selecting the wrong city during booking. I immediately called and emailed them to do a city swap. Their customer service phone number is a joke—it just forces you to send an email—and they completely ghosted my emails for days. They only emailed me back after I left a complaint on their social media. In their email, they refused to change the booking city, claimed they have "no availability" (while offering zero alternative dates), and are trying to force a predatory 50% upcharge fee to reschedule! To make matters worse, they completely ignored multiple inquiries regarding physical accessibility and restroom accommodations for an elderly guest who uses a walker. They take your money instantly and then completely ghost you on basic safety and booking issues. Absolute vultures. Save your money and go to a real, local tea room instead.

Avoid these scammers. They have overwhelmingly negative reviews for a reason. I tried to cancel/request a refund due to a family member being hospitalized and they refused it. They deserve every 1 star

I left in tears. This business needs to be shut down and I will be on a tangent to keep them from scamming people. We were told to arrive 15 minutes. The bus was an hr late. There were no updates regarding the delay. We finally boarded. The bus was dirty. Crumbs on the table, opened sugar packet. The placement was old and grungy. I was immediately disgusted. The tour guide had a strong body odor and obnoxiously sang over us. The route was through a run down area, with the view of torn down homes and trash/high prevalent homeless area. The food was old and not fresh and the tea was given in small portions. I took my sister for her 40th and I was embarrassed. We were hungry and carsick and asked to get off the bus midway and spent additional money to uber back to our car. A JOKE!

Los Angeles - DON'T DO THIS!!

To start, the bus was an hour late which also caused confusion and choas with later trips. At one point, it didn't look like we would have a seat on the bus as another rider on a later bus took our spot.

Aditionally, the trip was barely, or just at an hour, and we did not see and were not able to identify any of the landmarks listed that would be visited. 

These events would benefit from a tour guide or narrator as it felt like we were just on a bus riding around, and wasn't the full enjoyable 

experience I had anticipated it would be for the Mother's Day celebration I had planned for my mom.

On top of all that, we did not receive the full menu options listed with the teas.

They also don't respond to feedback or issues and don't addreaa requests for refunds.

I would not recommend this experience to anyone. This review is for the Chicago location of Tea Around Town, and it was extremely disappointing from start to finish.

Granted, this was actually our second attempt at going on a trip with them. Our original booking was canceled via text message just five minutes before our scheduled departure time, which should have been a major red flag.

For this trip, we arrived around 10:15 AM for our scheduled 10:30 AM bus ride, and our bus did not show up until 12:45 PM. Meanwhile, the 12:00 PM bus—which was also about 30 minutes late—ended up arriving before ours. There was no clear communication, no updates, and no organization while we stood there waiting.

When we finally got on the bus, it didn’t even complete the advertised scenic tour. Instead of a relaxing experience, the “tour” turned into watching crowds of people getting drunk during Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. It felt completely unplanned and nothing like what was advertised.

The entire experience wrapped up around 2:00–2:30 PM, and we ended up walking back to our original starting location, getting there around 2:45 PM. After hours of delays and a completely underwhelming experience, it just wasn’t worth it.

Overall, this was a poorly managed, frustrating experience with no accountability. Save your time and money—this is not worth it.

Not worth your money
We planned to "Tea Around Town ATL" for my cousin 60th Belated Bday celebration. It was a horrible 60th Belated Bday experience.
1) The “Tea around town ATL” was only 1 hour and not the 1.5 hour as advertise. We left for the “Tea around town ATL” at 12:15p and returned at 1:17P
2) NO silverware & napkin at our table. It took over 30 minutes before the server brought us silverware to our table.
3) Ran out of bathroom tissue & NO water to wash hands. With no silverware to eat our finger foods, we tasted the hand sanitizer when we ate.
4) NO souvenir glass available.
5) Several of us requested serval times to turn off the air & it didn’t turn off until 10 minutes before the tour ended.
6) NO guided tour. Since the mic didn’t work to give announcements of landmarks places along the tour route, the volume of the music was extremely loud, so I had to put in my earplugs.
7) The floor was extremely dirty; a little soap and water would go a long way.
8) As a Safety Engineer, the one-inch lip next to the incline on the 2nd floor of the bus is a trip hazard waiting to happen.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Tea Around Town Philadelphia. We booked a tour for a group of four, traveled 2½ hours each way, paid for tolls, gas, and parking, only to have the tour canceled 15 minutes before boarding. No prior notice, no apology, and zero effort to make things right.
Customer service? Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Their policy demands guests reschedule 14 days in advance with a fee, yet they canceled at the last minute and refused to take responsibility. I made multiple calls and sent several emails, and a week later, still no refund. I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company because they clearly do not care about their customers.
This company is unprofessional, unreliable, and dishonest. They wasted our time at great expense. If you’re considering booking with Tea Around Town be aware. Their offices are in New York for all Tea Around Town tours. If this is not usual they should of worked to keep my business and make it right. Yet no word from them from the initial day, email was received after tour canceled asking if I wanted a refund or to reschedule. Poorly handled Tea around town!
