Hi Charles,
Thank you for the great review!
This purchase was strictly fuctional
This purchase was strictly fuctional. The original spout was wearing and leaking thru worn gaskets, so I'd bought a replacement in January 2025. I decided that now, in July 2026, to fit that 'new' one. To do so, I ordered two more taps as spares/cover although I really doubt I'll ever use them

Hi Michael,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a great review!
Good source of tap spares
Tap Spares are a reliable source of ... tap spares.
I have always found them very helpful and ready to answer queries.
They are able to supply spares I have difficulty sourcing elsewhere.
Why only 4 stars?
When I used them a year or two ago for a replacement ceramic disc capsule for my kitchen tap there was no indication on the ordering site that my particular tap uses a 'hot' capsule on the cold side and vice versa, resulting in the need to return my order and suffer a delay. Fair enough. At least they refunded my postage without argument.
BUT when the other capsule failed recently I found that there had still been no warning added to the website despite my pointing this out. This time I wasn't caught out, but only because of experience.
They need to act on feedback.
However I do strongly recommend them.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your continued support and recommendation. We're delighted to hear that you've found us helpful and have been able to source parts that were difficult to find elsewhere.
We do apologise that there was no clearer indication that your tap required the opposite hot and cold discs, particularly after you had previously brought this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that this issue was not addressed sooner.
Improving the clarity of our product information is something we are actively reviewing, and following your comments, we are looking at ways to make this information visible on our website. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and help us improve our service. We truly appreciate your feedback and your continued recommendation of Tap Spares.

Vastaus yritykseltä Tap-Spares
Hi Hilary,
We are very sorry to hear that the parts supplied didn't fit, especially after you had taken the time to send photographs of your existing valves to help identify the correct replacements.
Since receiving your feedback, we contacted you directly to try and resolve the issue and provide further assistance. However, we understand that by this point you had already replaced the tap with an alternative.
We are sorry that the incorrect parts were supplied and for the inconvenience and frustration this caused. While we always strive to identify and provide the correct parts, we're disappointed that we were unable to resolve this matter for you before a replacement was required.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your experience didn't meet the standards we aim to deliver. Your comments have been noted and will help us improve our service going forward.
Thank you

Should not need to be purchasing £34 cartridges - my shower unit has been in 3x longer without hassle.
Tap was expensive to start with and have now had two cartridges - 1 for hot and one for cold/filtered, plus 2 lots of Spout Sealing Kits, one initially under g’tee.
