Talyllyn Railway Arvostelua 

Purchase of Talyllyn control centre: Good functionality, occasionaly trains seem to go off line when they are still on the track. Is there any way of listing the makeup of, eg, the engineers train?

Excellent little railway gone to Grate lengths to keep their customers safe. This little railway deserves to be supported.

Easy to book , great service

The Best Preserved Railway.
I have been a member for at least forty years and the TR is the best preserved railway in the world. You can tell immediately you arrive, everyone you meet has a welcoming smile, even when it's raining.
However I have to say the on line reservation procedure when it came to paying and adding a donation became a little complex for an old 89 year member who hates computers. I think I managed it in the end, but I still wasn't sure that you were going to benefit by the extra 20% tax refund I declared?
Please I have a simple question. As a Heritage member how do I go about increasing my monthly direct debit donation? The railway certainly needs some extra financial help right now!

Goods are slightly expensive but arrived quickly and quality fine

We wanted to book a members ticket for a ride on the TR in June, and unable to do this on the website I phoned the booking office at Wharf. Our request was dealt with efficiently and an email confirming the tickets arrived quickly.

The Talyllyn Railway control center is worth every penny, it gives an insight into the operation of the railway, but be warned it is addictive, you find that you keep returning to it over and over again. I can't wait until they start the regular services.

The Talyllyn has been my favourite welsh NG railway since my teenage years in the 50's having read Tom Rolt's book.

The package arrived quickly, was complete with all I ordered, and I am very happy with the quality of the goods. The sweets and biscuits are doing nothing for my waistline, but that's not Talyllyn's problem. Good service.

Prompt and fast, efficient service

Everything about this railway is great, if ever you are in the are it is a must even if you have no interest in steam trains! The atmosphere is fantastic and the shop at Wharf is a delight! Lots of really interesting books for the enthusiast and the Day tripper.

Everything came quickly and was packed safely! I got an apron, bookmark, and a mug in the same package within 2-3 weeks of ordering. A little disappointed that the bookmark wasn't protected from being bent in any way, but other than that everything was great!

I have an association with the Talyllyn Railway from when I was a very young boy back in the 60’s. Will be back in June 2021, COVID permitting, and stress this is a wonderful day, provided by wonderful people, on a piece of heritage which is a first class and much loved tribute to the Railways of yester year. If in the area, the Talyllyn Railway is a must.........

I've always been pleased to deal with the Talyllyn Railway - had so many good times traveling on their wonderful little trains. All the staff I've had pleasure meeting over the years have been lovely, very friendly and eager to help you have a good time. Even my dogs over the years have been made especially welcome and have enjoyed their trips too! The scenery is wonderful and the journey is very relaxing - a lovely way to get away from it all for a few hours!! Will be going again later in the year, taking a friend with me who hasn't been before, plus my current little dog who hasn't done the trip either. Can't wait!!
