Trip to Croatia. Genererything went well
Generally everything went well. The itinerary/timetable was excellent allowing us sufficient time between connections. Disappointed to have to print off our rail tickets. Your previous system of individual wallets for each day, including hotel vouchers, worked very well for us. The rail tickets were, naturally, printed in the language of the relevant country. It would have been helpful, especially where the Croation tickets were concerned, to have a brief translation of key elements, eg train number, seat and carriage number etc. Our transfer from Zagreb to Split was chaotic to put it mildly. There were no carriage numbers on the train so it was impossible to know where our seats were located. It was a very busy train and this added to the chaos. I found seat numbers eventually but they were not together! Also there was a seperate compartment with a number 1 on its sliding door which I assume was first class which I had asked for. This was a seven hour journey and there were NO facilities on the train, apart from toilets. There was no where to put our suitcases except in overhead racks and I am not a weight lifter! As experts in rail travel I would have expected you to provide me with a brief outlining the issues associated with this particular journey and any others if necessary. Being fore warned means there are fewer nasty surprises.
The hotels were excellent particularly in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. The hotel in Split was ok but 3 star at best. Had to have breakfast in the lobby one morning as the small dining room was full. Overall we were happy with the arrangements but felt that more detailed information as outlined above would have been helpful.

Hello Patricia,
Thank you for your review and for taking the time to outline your comments about the trip in general and a specific journey. We are glad to hear that everything generally went well and have taken good note about the Split hotel.
We are sorry to hear about the journey between Zagreb and Split. These trains are a little more basic than elsewhere on your itinerary. It would be great if you could kindly reply to the email our team sent you during the trip to find out more about the seating issues. Thank you for your suggestions about the ticket translation and catering.
We have moved to PDF ticket packs which are a little more sustainable and which allow us a bit more flexibility with what to include. We can print this for you going forwards which is no problem. We have made a note of your preference.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and we look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
The TMR Team
Excellent company
Excellent company to deal with. Prior to going, all of my queries were met promptly and to my satisfaction.
The holiday itself was well planned and of particular note every hotel chosen was well placed for local sightseeing.
The one time my trip did hit a snag (for which I have to take my share of the blame for not being more explicit with my needs plus there was another factor outside anyone's control), Simon and his colleagues went above and beyond to swiftly sort it out.
I am so happy with them that I'm intending to use their services again next year.

I find train travel more relaxing than flying
I find train travel more relaxing than flying, and free wifi in first class trains (not sure about 2nd class) allows the time to fly by.

We had a super train holiday
We had a super train holiday. It was to Locarno and nights stopping at Strasbourg and Basel. TMR were very efficient and helpful in sending our travel documents. All our train journeys went without a hitch. Our hotels were first class, with effiency, helpfulness and very friendly. There was nothing I could fault with our holiday. Well done and thank you. We would definately use this company again and thoroughly recommend. I cannot think of anything that would have improved our holiday.

We had a great holiday travelling to…
We had a great holiday travelling to Lake Bled. Travel arrangements worked perfectly and accomodations were all good. We chose a TMR package but we added an extra night in Verona - it wasn't enough so next time, we will take more time to travel to our destination and spend extra nights on the way. This was our second holiday with TMR and will undoubtedly bw booking again.

Very Professional Service
During the planning stage we were very well supported. Kit modified the basic Rome Tour to meet our specific needs with regard to duration of stay and hotel options. He also responded to numerous queries promptly.
Booking a payment were straightforward.
Documentation was posted to us well in advance of travel.
The outward rail journey went like clockwork withe plenty of time to make connections.
All three hotels where we stayed were of a very high standard.
The homeward journey journeys was fraught with delays but the planned itinerary ensured we arrived home only marginally late.
