Tailor Made Rail Arvostelua

The information provided was comprehensive and quality of service excellent.

Tailor Made Rail (TMR) are an excellent company. The itinerary I requested was complicated (9 countries, 17 rail journeys, 3 ferries, 1 sleeper train and 9 hotels) and they supplied the holiday exactly as requested. Matching my requirements exactly. The hotels were good to excellent, well located in the old towns and near the railway stations. The only problems we had with trains were down to the train operators. When we were delayed TMR were very helpful in reserving a hotel in case we were not in time for the last train home.
The service TMR provide is helpful, friendly and very efficient, both during the booking process and whilst we were away. The travel documentation was easy to follow and worked like clockwork. I have used the company three times before and will be using them again.

The hotel where we stayed in Locarno was fabulous! Next to the lake and close to the train station and local buses and boats. The breakfast had an amazing variety of food and drinks.
We wished we had realised that 1st class on our trains in France and Switzerland didn't include food. We needed to make sure we had snacks!
In Paris we struggled to work out where and how to buy tickets, which was a bit stressful, but we got there in the end!
Overall, a wonderful trip! Beautiful country with lovely people

An attractive trip to a beautiful part of Switzerland. Easy to book and modify to meet what I wanted. The hotels were of a good standard and exceeded my expectations in both Lugano and Locarno. The trip was well planned and the mobile app for the rail tickets made it easy to travel

As in the past two journeys across Europe our 3000mile personalised trip to Norway and back went like clockwork.
Hotels were excellent and travel arrangements were spot on. We left and returned on time.
What more can you ask for?

Arrangements by Tailor Made Rail made our visit to Amsterdam, The Hague & Delft by Eurostar so much easier. It all went like clock work & we had a stress free time

From first discussing my booking through to an issue when traveling home, the team where there helpful and fully informed.

The trip they organised was superb 4 cities across Europe by rail in 10 days - excellent hotels and trains all booked timely and accurately.

We cannot thank the people at Tailor Made Rail highly enough in making our trip unforgettable for all the right reasons. The trains from Manchester through to Como and back were excellent (with the exception of the French trains, which didn’t meet the high quality of all the others). However, this is a not a sleight on TMR, who have no control over the train network.

TMR did not skimp on providing excellent quality accommodation throughout our trip either. Every hotel was 4*, and all were exceptional in their own way. The standouts for us were Cour de Corbeau in Strasbourg, and Hotel Gaia in Basel. These two provided just a bit extra, and exceeded all expectations for quality and service.

The scenery was spectacular, the architecture in historical locations was amazing, the people really friendly.
We went in September, after probably the hottest summer on record in Europe. We were both a tad worried there wouldn’t be any snow on the peaks. We were pleasantly surprised that our fears were unfounded. Snow and glaciers were present throughout our travel in Switzerland.
Overall, TMR made our trip one of the best holidays ever, as their expertise takes away all the stress and hassle of arranging everything. The logistics in arranging a trip like this must be mind boggling, but by trusting the experts, they made it so easy and seamless, we could just relax and enjoy ourselves.

Everything was well organised. There was always someone at the end of a phone. When we needed to change our itinerary they were very accommodating.

Really well organised as always with a beautiful hotel in Beaune and very good hotels in Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. Sensible train connection times and even the Friday night Eurostar was civilised on our return!.

This was our third trip with TMR and much of it was up to the usual standard. The suggested hotel was in a superb position and apart from a relatively small and dark room was an excellent choice. However certain aspects of the rail experience were disappointing. We always travel first class and request table seats for two facing each other. Whilst appreciating that things are sometimes beyond your control this would appear to have not always been the case, in fact a couple of times the positions were not good, something which is never been an issue in the past. For us the rail journeys are a huge part of the holiday.

Excellent customer service with a perfect personal touch. The whole booking process worked brilliantly

All hotels and rail journeys ,connections etc excellent

Hotels chosen for us by Tailor Made were superb, travel arrangements all worked really well and holiday felt stress free.

Information beforehand was thorough and felt well supported

All the travel arranged for us. Hotels all clean and within easy walking distance to the transport hubs. Staff at Tailor Made Rail all very helpful when we had questions regarding our trip. Would highly recommend.

A wonderful holiday experience with Tailor Made Rail, our first train adventure but we had a great itinerary, fabulous hotels and excellent communication from this company.
We had an unexpected issue on a Friday night but an out of hours phone call was quickly and efficiently handled by Katie, problem dealt with and new route and tickets issued within half an hour. Thank you Katie.
We would very definitely use this company again and we are already recommending them to friends.
Great job.

We had an other great holiday with Taylor Made Rail.We chose their Austrian itinerary and there was plenty to see and do in this beautiful country.
Everything ran smoothly apart from a couple of delayed trains on our home journey.Even the weather was great.
The only problem was the Nightjet train from Vienna to Brussels which was old and cramped, I would advise the Vienna to Amsterdam train instead as it it more spacious and modern. This was our mistake as we chose the Brussels train, nothing to do with TMR

It would have been useful to have a dedicated advisor for our trip. This happened previously and was extremely useful. Hotel Stefanie in Vienna and Hotel Bischofshof am Dom in Regensburg were very average- trading on their ‘traditional’ history but neither was truly welcoming… More positively, the other hotels were great and The Corinthia in Budapest is exceptional. First class rail and reservations worked well.
