I have told them every month to opt me out of paper statements. They said they did but every month I get the paper statement and get charged for it. Even though I opted out of them! I don’t recommend them.

My experience with Synchrony has been extremely disappointing.

I signed up for financing through Discount Tire and quickly learned about policies that were either poorly disclosed or not clearly explained during signup. Charging customers $1.99 just to receive a paper statement feels like an unnecessary junk fee.

Even more frustrating is the billing communication. Payment notifications seem to arrive after the due date rather than giving customers adequate notice beforehand. Sending reminders after an account is already past due is not helpful and creates avoidable problems.

These billing practices feel designed to generate late fees rather than help customers stay on top of payments. Much better transparency and communication are needed.

I opened a CareCredit account for a $4,925 dental treatment (Invisalign) on May 6, 2026, at Ora Dental Studio. On the same day, I requested cancellation and clearly stated I did not wish to proceed with treatment. No treatment was received.

My dispute was denied twice. I did not receive a clear explanation of how my same-day cancellation and lack of services were evaluated in the decision process.

I filed a CFPB complaint to better understand the basis for the denial and how the dispute was handled.

Get rid of this card as soon as you possibly can because all they're doing is playing games with you. Worst credit card I've ever dealt with in my entire life, pay it off, get rid of it! They decrease me by $1,000 on my card for absolutely no reason My credit's never changed I've always paid except for one time. But yet they just play games with you! Pay it off get rid of it!

The customer service, is unhelpful and difficult to reach a live representative. there are problems with processing transactions. . We do not receive on time the monthly statements either on mail or email, while the bank is charging ridiculous fees for the delays on payments. They do not give us the option of filing a survey about their service

I have a Lowe's account through Synchrony Bank. I usually use it only for big ticket items like refrigerator and washer and dryer. I went directly to the store each month and paid way over the minimum due and paid off both appliances long before they were expected to be paid for. Due to previous encounters with this bank I did not want to use the mail. In March of 2026 I used the card to purchase a toilet seat because I heard if you didn't use the card they would cancel it. It was $37. I never received a bill from them. I forgot about it until I got an email saying I owed $112. I was concerned that someone had gotten my information and was using my card to charge items. It took me awhile to get through, but when I was finally able to talk to someone they told me the only charge was for the toilet seat and everything else was penalties and fees for not paying on time! I told them I had never received a bill and they said they would investigate. About two weeks later I received a reply saying they had sent the statement. I paid the full amount due over the phone and decided not to fight it because this is such a horrible bank with awful business practices. Two days ago I received a bill in the mail saying I still owed $112! I checked my bank and saw that the payment had cleared the day I spoke with them on the phone! I will no longer be purchasing anything from Lowe's unless I pay cash. I want NOTHING to do with this bank. There should be someone to report them to. Trustpilot says they have a 97% one star rating. Someone should shut these people down! Don't do business with anyone who uses Synchrony Bank!

This bank is the worst. I decided to do a secured card with Amazon because I don't carry any debt, my house is paid off and I don't use credit cards, which means I have no credit, apparently, and after getting a terrible deal on a car because of that (I paid the car off after several months), I decided I would do the build-credit thing and also limit my Amazon spending by getting a secured card at first. I don't know what I buy every month, but whatever it is, I don't choose it. I have a balance due all the time, even though almost every time I log into the account I pay the statement balance so that my balance due is zero. But I always owe, it seems, and this stupid account that I cannot use is always past due. It is BS. This card isn't worth the hassle and hardships that come with Synchrony and its staff, its hidden fees and mystery charges. Just say no,

You are penalized for making more than one payment on your credit card. If you make multiple payments in a day your account is locked for 14 days. Ridiculous.

One of worst banks on the planet imaging giving $1400 limit and reducing it to $100 that's unbelievable!! That's despicable? Plus closed two of my accounts without was warning ..never ever do business with this lousy bank !!

This is the most useless credit card in the world.The interest is so heavy.I will never recommend this nonsense even to my enemies.

Theives! I had autopay set to pay balance in full on my Synchrony Lowes card. Autopay only processed minimum payment, because of their error I was charged interest at their extremely inflated rate. Synchrony refused to refund the interest caused by their payment processing error. I will avoid using any of their cards in the future.

Absolutely the WORST credit card company ever! Offered me credit cards and I accepted ( without reading the reviews of how horrible they were). Had 6 of them, kept all way under the limit, paid my bills early and one weekend, without notice Syn hrony closed them all.

Synchrony Bank is the absolute worst, predatory financial theifs I have ever encountered. I never received a pair of glasses from an eye doctor. They refused to refund me and Synchrony refused to help me. I am still paying 800.00 (with cut throat interest) for glasses I NEVER RECEIVED. This has been a disappointing and insulting process. I would NEVER recommend your services. This institution is inhumane.

Extremely poor customer service both in their general rep department AND supervisor assistance. They are rude, entitled, and professionally incapable of any sort of assistance or direct thinking on their part. They can only read off some business template response, talk over you, talk down to the customer as if we are not educated on how a credit account works, and basically waste the customer's time, while "nickel and dime" a long-standing customer of Synchrony Bank who is just trying to close/pay off an account that was in good standing, paid on time, and never delinquent.

They will close your account without notice or warning. I had their Mastercard as one of my main cards, the one that replaced the eBay card. Everything was fine on my end, and then they suddenly closed it. I was told it was due to return payments, but as far as I was aware all my payments were going through fine, and I got no alert or notice there was an issue. The agent told me there was nothing they could do to reopen it, but I was welcome to apply for a whole new card. I do not want a new card with a place that will suddenly close accounts without notice, and then refuse or be completely unable to help, regardless of the circumstances. Even if the fault does not lie with the card user. Synchrony does not care, nor do they value our business, regardless of what they claim.

Prefer to give zero! QVC credit card through Synchrony. Promotion for 9 months no interest…but they don’t apply payments to that promotion and say I don’t have one. Impossible to call….will not let you speak to a person. FINALLY after 5 minutes with the robot, sent me to a person. To apply payments to the promotion balance, you have to call and REQUEST it! But can’t reach a person. When I finally got one she asked me how much I wanted to pay and honestly I had no idea! She gave me the amount to pay to avoid interest. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO PAY THEM! Do not use this so called service!

This bank if absolutely horrible. I was never late on payments, and even paid off my balance in full. They reported me as being delinquent on the month I paid them off, and listed my account as a Charge Off.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SYNCHRONY!!!!!

I have several accounts with Synchrony and never had ANY issues until the last few months. I have always paid my bills on time, never missed a payment and have even paid accounts off by the next bill. One by one they started closing my accounts which has hurt my credit rating. When called they said it was because of what's on my credit report. I have pulled my credit report and there is nothing negative. I only found out about the one account getting closed when I went to use my card. The embarrassment was horrific! When I called, I got the run around then finally was told account was close. I asked why? they said due to negative things on credit report (which I did not have). I asked about my other accounts with them they said there was no issues HMMM!! Then two more accounts got closed. I only have two still opened and even with a zero balance when I went to charge on it, they lowered my credit limit on both causing one of my cards to decline! I will pay my accounts off and NEVER USE THEM AGAIN EVER!!! I am also contacting the vendors who use them and let them know I will not shop in their stores as long as they use Synchrony Bank. What a SCAM this is!

Even though I paid my account off as directed by your Customer Service Rep before final due date that I was charged an additional $45.81 in interest. No one would waive this. I paid this additional charge and I will now be closing all 3 of my accounts. Unethical.
