Our experience with Switch Energy Network was brilliant! Our project manager, Beatrice, is professional, friendly and kept us informed and updated every single step of the way and also called us to ensure works had been completed on time.

Our experience with Switch Energy Network Ltd was a good one. Thank you so much to Tamarah who was our project manager and handled everything for us. There were a few hick ups along the way, but nothing is perfect. Any that came up were sorted asap. We also had a lot of giggles along the way! Our Internal Wall Insulation was done by Rokzen and boy did they work hard! Thank you lads. The Air Source Heat Pump and Cylinder were installed by Lubaroc. Hats off to Rob and Luca for working their butts off and doing such a great job. The Solar panels were installed by SJ Insulations. This took about an hour or so. Again the job was done quicker than we thought it would. Lastly, everyone else involved with getting things done including surveys, electrics etc, thank you so much for your speed and efficiency. An extra 6th star just for Tamarah *

I had work carried out under the Eco4 scheme. I was really impressed by the speed and quality of the work.

From start to finish this was a great experience, communication was brilliant, the contractors were professional, clean and efficient and helpful and all the work has been completed to a high standard, paperwork and guarantees are all in place.
Very quick and I'm totally happy unlike the bad experience I had with another company prior to the recommendation for Switch Energy!

This company is a complete scam. I wouldn't recommend trusting them with your personal details or valuable time.
Despite participating in a phone call, survey, and signing a contract, I never received any follow-up communication from them. Each time I reached out, I was met with unhelpful responses and they even refused to provide me with a copy of the contract.
When I attempted to file a complaint with trading standards, I was shocked to find out they demanded additional payments on top of the original loan, claiming it didn't cover all expenses.
The requested extra amount far exceeded the total cost, leading me to believe they are acting dishonestly. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this company's deceptive practices.

Switch Energy's sub-contractors provided excellent installation of energy-saving solar panels, hybrid heat pump/boiler, radiators, wall insulation, replacement joinery such as skirting boards, window sills, coving and picture rails, extractor fans in kitchen and bathroom and trickle vents on windows. Their project management by Tamarah and customer service throughout the entire project were 5 star. Thank you so much Tamarah for contacting us before, during and after each step of the project, you are great at your job! The scaffolders, solar panel fitters and solar electricians were all great. Mark and his team were brilliant fitting the heat pump. Taggas' Kaylan and Ross made a great job of the boiler and radiators. We can't thank them enough. Their work was professional, and very clean and tidy. As were the wall insulation/plasterers, Alex and his team, who worked tirelessly to refit all exterior wall insulation and left not a trace after they'd finished. I am especially happy with the extractor fans, which have made a huge difference to humidity levels while showering and cooking. We are delighted with the upgrade our house has received, and can already tell a big difference in overall comfort at home. We have been supplied with all paperwork and guidelines required for each installation. Thank you Switch and to all those involved for an excellent overall job.

Brilliant service from Anna Morrisroe- checked each ‘step’ was being carried out and all ok after each thing, very supportive and left specific others to check when she was on leave and they all gave me their details in case I needed to contact them. Rokzen sorted loft insulation and vents; Lubaroc particularly good at getting on with the job quickly and efficiently-1 of the men gave me his number in case I needed any help and an owner of diamond boilers rang to make sure I was happy; solar panels put up and connected quickly and efficiently too… everyone who came was friendly, helpful and efficient. I really can’t recommend the whole experience highly enough and that was largely due to Anna I’m sure.

All operatives were professional and respectful towards myself. They carried out the installations quickly and tidily. They described the work they were doing and instructed me on the controls fitted. The only disappointment is that the solar panels could not be installed, thereby increasing my electricity bills

TAGGAS plumbers again were a fantastic team. 3 days of hard work in extreme heat. And how they managed to navigate in small areas they deserve a medal!

SJ - the solar guys worked that quickly we didn’t see much of them with them being on the roof but again very professional - a minor issue arose and they were back immediately to rectify.

The scaffolders were yet another fab team again we didn’t see much of them die to them being outside.

Overall everyone involved deserves a 5* review. The office staff, plasterers, electricians, surveyors, insulation, builders, plumbers, scaffolders, solar guys and anyone I may have forgotten.
Everything ran smoothly from the very first phone call and within the time frames we were told. Absolutely would recommend Switch and every other company involved in our overall install. I think the whole process from the first call to final one took less than 10 weeks.

Great service all-round

Switch Energy Network coordinated our ECO4 scheme works to retrofit an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), internal wall insulation and solar panels to our property. Beatrice was our Project Coordinator at Switch, who subcontracted out the 3 parts of the project.

First up was the internal wall insulation, carried out by Daniel and his team from Newholme Energy. They installed internal wall insulation to all the external walls in our old solid stone walled property, and re-plastered leaving us to re-decorate. This was a significant amount of work and caused a significant amount of disruption having to move furniture out of all affected rooms over 3 days, but we were expecting this. Daniel and his team were brilliant - they worked tirelessly over 3 days to get the job done as quickly as possible for us, thus minimising the disruption. They took great care to put down carpet protectors and plastic dust protectors as the work does create a significant amount of dust. They left us with beautifully plastered (and insulated) walls, with new skirting boards which we will re-decorate. Nothing less than 5 stars for these guys who worked so hard, non-stop! Thank you Daniel.

Next up was the ASHP installation performed by Lewis and Alex from Taggas Ltd. You can read horror stories about poorly designed/installed heat pump installations where the installers do not know what they are doing - NOT the case here. Lewis and Alex are extremely knowledgeable and have been doing this for a long time. The ASHP was installed outside to the rear of the property, with a new hot water cylinder in the house (you will need room/location for this to be installed), new radiator piping (all copper, no cheap plastic here) and all new radiators throughout. Lewis and Alex were brilliant. They hit a few issues during the install, but they were always looking for solutions rather than problems, and happy to liaise with us throughout the install to ensure we were happy. We are very happy with the installation. We have lovely hot water, and have been able to test out the heating on a few colder June days and it's working brilliantly. Thank you Lewis and Alex.

The final phase of the works was for the installation of our solar panels, which as undertaken by Chris and his team at SJ Insulations. This was the least disruptive, with the guys all done within 2 hours. We have 9 solar panels fitting to our south facing roof, and a 3kW inverter fitted in the loft, producing free electricity immediately. We did have one slight issue and Ben (and two colleagues) from SJ Insulations returned the following day to sort. Ben was brilliant and most helpful - thank you Ben.

Overall, the whole project ran very smoothly under Beatrice's expert coordination and oversight. Communication with Beatrice was excellent throughout - she was always quick to respond to any queries by phone, TXT or email. Inevitably you will hit a few snags on any project of this complexity, so it is about how effectively you deal with those issues. Whenever we hit issues, Beatrice was immediately on the case to get things resolved and kept me updated throughout so I always knew what was happening, and when. This was really important to me, so a massive thank you to Beatrice. I must also mention Callum at Switch, who I think oversaw some of the technical works and planning at Switch, and again was more than happy to answer any of my many questions during the planning stages.

Overall, 5 stars without a doubt. Yes, having the works completed caused a large amount of disruption as was to be expected, but the benefits to us are massive so totally worth it. The 3 phases of work were carried out over 3-4 weeks, so you do get a few days respite between each phase so be aware of that and plan accordingly.

I have had a very positive experience, all work carried out was within the time stated. The work men that came to carry out the works were curtious and respectful of the property. They were accommodating to our wishes especially around our young grandson, they were also thorough in their cleaning at the end of the day.
The project manager ( callum) was efficient and quick to resolve any issues I had throughout the install and works, he also kept in close contact to see if the works were being carried out within a timely manner and to a high standard.
10/10 switch energy and all the tradesmen you have on board

Absolutely fantastic service from beginning to end! From the application through to the wonderful teams of tradesmen who did a fabulous job and really were superb from roofers, solar panel specialists, scaffolders, electricians, plumbers that got everything connected and working brilliantly. We had a dedicated Project manager Callum who I could speak to at any time and he kept me informed of every stage of the works ! Again I cannot thank you enough, it has made such a difference to daily living and will be much cheaper on bills and I will be much warmer - a very big thank you to ALL ! Debbie Essex
