If i could give a zero star, I would. We’ve purchase a luggage from Swiss Gear and receive a different model than what we ordered and paid for. That model that they sent, sells for half the price. We’ve contacted them and they wouldn’t respond until finally now to say to return the luggage and to pay for the shipping to return if we want to get reimburse. How is this making sense? They sent us the wrong product, overcharge us and now what us to return and pay the shipping. To me, I call this fraud. Wow, how can a company be like that. Buyer beware.

I ordered Online my stuff never arrived they said they already ship . when I contact they did nto reply me . after many days when I get reply back they said its already delivered. they did not help . I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with SwissGear’s handling of my warranty claim, and I feel compelled to formally document my complaint.
The wheels on my SwissGear suitcase have fallen off. Wheels are a fundamental part of a suitcase, and they should not fail under normal, limited use. This product has not been abused or mishandled in any way. I provided my receipt and sent clear photos showing the condition of the suitcase, which is otherwise in good shape and has only been used a small number of times. Based on this, it is evident that this is a defective product.
What is most upsetting is not just the defect itself, but SwissGear’s refusal to stand behind its own product. I have reached out multiple times and was told that replacement wheels would not be provided. Offering a 25% discount coupon is unacceptable and does not resolve the issue. I am not asking for a new suitcase. I am simply asking for replacement wheels so that I can continue using a product I already paid for.
Without wheels, the suitcase is completely unusable. I find it unreasonable that a company would expect a customer to discard an otherwise functional suitcase due to a known component failure—especially when the solution is as simple as sending replacement wheels.
This experience has left me with a very poor impression of SwissGear’s customer service and commitment to product quality. I will be sharing my experience with friends and family and advising them against purchasing SwissGear products, as this situation demonstrates a lack of accountability for defective merchandise.
I urge SwissGear to reconsider this decision and resolve this matter appropriately by providing replacement wheels. This is the least that should be done to stand behind your product.

Paid $100 and it broke very quickly
Paid $100 for a large swissgear suitcase from Winners (Canada). I do quite a bit of travelling between Europe and Canada, and in the short time I’ve had the suitcase both carrying handles have managed to snap off, and this is without overloading it (it has never been above 23kg). Pretty disappointing for the price point. And based off what I’ve read online their suitcases aren’t good quality and their customer service is even worse, so I’ll probably swallow the costs and get another, quality bag instead.
Order never shipped, won't refund
Purchased and paid for merchandise from Swissgear April 18, 2025. Order was never fulfilled. Following my travel Swissgear was contacted regarding the issue of my items never received. They could not furnish any proof of notification nor shipment of my order. I respectfully requested a refund and they responded that a refund had been issued November 6,2025. As of today's date 12/8/2025 there's been no refund received. Swissgear advised that I contact PayPal through whom my payment was made. PayPal informed me no refund had been issued from Swissgear and requested that I get a refund transaction I.D. number from Swissgear so that PayPal could investigate. I requested that information from Swissgear November 20, 2025 and to date they've not provided any further information. My last two emails to Swissgear have received no response.
Quality and Warranty are Non-Existent. Stay away from this brand
I purchased a large SWISSGEAR suitcase in 2023 and used it only 3-4 times before TSA lock stopped working. It has now been 1.5 months since I opened a warranty claim, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. There is no direct warranty department contact. I managed to get emails reply after contacting customer service 3 times, only to get the next question. Finally, I received notice that my claim is "conditionally approved", but I have physically cut labels out of suitcase and mail them to Florida address for them to "verify a manufacturing defect" (I sent the photos of the labels already with the claim submission). I am in Canada, hence to the traceable letter will cost me 20-25% of the suitcase cost with an unknown outcome.
I was advised by a very rude customer service rep that this is their process, and I would receive either discount or some else as a result of the claim. When I asked to talk to his manager or escalate my questions, he hang the phone.
I will never buy anything with SWISSGEAR logo again. Based on the similar reviews here the quality and warranty are non-existing. They do everything to not honoring warranty.
Customer service USED to be good but is awful now. What happened??
Customer service has gone way downhill since suitcases originally purchased. I purchase a set of 3 nesting suitcases in 2019. We had an issue with the mid-size one maybe 2-3 years ago, and they warrantied it out quickly, completely and with little issue. This time there is an issue with the smallest one and they continue to delay making a decision. Asking repeat questions that I've already answered. I don't know what other information I can provide to them. It's been nearly 8 weeks since opening a warranty claim that I thought would be open and shut and I'm getting to the point where I really need a working suitcase for my upcoming travel! I've had to call general customer service 3 times to keep moving in the warranty queue. Good news is it's been virtually no wait to get someone on the phone, bad news is there's no phone number for the warranty department so all they do is nudge them to get a response same-day, which has happened each of the 3 times although again with the repeat question and no resolution. I received notice that it's "conditionally approved" but I have to physically cut labels out of the suitcase and mail them in for them to "verify a manufacturing defect". Depending on the outcome of the claim, I'm not sure I'm going to buy Swiss Gear again because of how terrible their current customer service process is.

I bought a suitcase 7 months ago, used it three times and the zipper broke. Contact customer services , I was told I would have to take it to a place that repairs zippers on suitcases, at my expense. Do not buy from this company!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I will never ever buy from this company again, they act like they are from overseas, but meanwhile are in Pompano Beach, FL. I am a long time 15+ year customer. I have bought 3 luggage sets, and 2 backpacks. I bought a new luggage set, used it once, and one of the bags was a complete disaster - frayed at every single seam. Not even one spot, literally everywhere!
I filled out their lengthy online custom service portal info multiple times, mailed in labels via certified mail, attached photos-= every hoop they threw at me I handled for months. Then they never follow up and respond - me talking to myself in the portal. Had to get on a customer service chat 6x to get someone, who only would tell me I would hear back, and nothing. Then I find they just closed it out in the warranty portal, and say here is a 15% coupon code to buy more luggage. One use, and only 1 bag messed up- impossible not a defect. I will never buy again, thought they were a real company. Even the logo is a scam. Buyer beware they are not BBB accredited either. And have a 1.2 rating here on Trust Pilot because of similar issues. Stay away!

We had the same experience many have had. We have a 3 year old carry-on bag with 2 wheels that are completely disintegrated. The bag has only been used a few dozen times and now can't be used. They offered the 15% coupon. Numerous attempts to get a repair or replacement are ignored. We have several other bags of theirs that were much better quality. Be advised, the quality is now crap and the warranty is worthless.

I’ve only owned my Swiss gear 8121 laptop backpack for a year and the right shoulder strap has begun tearing away. I use this bag EXACTLY for what it’s intended for and it is without a doubt defective as there was strands of stitching loose within a week of use on that strap. The backpacks have a 10 year warranty that they do not stand by!!! It’s been months since I emailed my warranty claim with no response and after a lot of research online, I don’t expect one! Do not buy any products from them unless you’re ok with them not honoring any warranty. They should be sued for false advertising!!!!

I received a suitcase as a reward from my company. The zipper broke on the first use. Even though its supposed to have a 10 year warranty. After cutting off labels and filling out all the forms, Swissgear denied the warranty claim. The warranty is a lie and this company produces inferior products. Avoid them and

Suitcase Warranty Claim Denial
I have a 28 inch rolling suitcase that I've had for one year. I came back from a trip and one of the zipper sliders had come off. It is supposed to be warrantied for 5 years so I contacted the company for warranty replacement. They denied the claim saying that the damage was due to "Handling". This is ridiculous since the whole purpose of suitcases is to be handled. I am very disappointed with this company and I think management needs to address the problem of warranty denials.

Swiss blamed the airline, the suitcase collapse happened a full day after the flight. This is clearly a construction issue. I submitted a warranty claim which they denied. Unbelievable! I will never buy Swiss gear again, I will be taking the rest of my Swiss gear luggage to goodwill.

Poor quality backpack and even worst customer service
I purchased a SwissGear 3760 ScanSmart laptop Backpack for my school going son and within couple of years the shoulder straps started tearing off and stitches came off. Since SwissGear offers 5 years of warranty and market their backpacks as strong and durable product, I raised a claim with them, but not only was the claim process tedious and cumbersome but the final outcome from the claim was a sham. First I had to file an online claim with all pictures of damages and various patches and parts of the backpack. And after filing an online, they wanted me to send them the bag patches through post with tracking ID, which cost me $6 and time. Maybe the goal of all this online Plus postal process is to make it harder for customers to file a claim. After all the required processes were completed, I got an approval for 15% off coupon from SwissGear which can ONLY be used on their retail website. And when I checked on their retail website all their prices were exhorbitant plus they had shipping fees. Even after applying the coupon, the price was more than what I would pay at Sams or some other online retailer to get the same Swissgear bag. It was a complete joke. When I complained to their customer service, I was told that the shoulder straps tore due to normal wear and tear. My son used the bag for school and if these high quality bags cannot manage the school items weight then what is the durability of these bagpacks? So if you are fine with your shoulder straps tearing off which according to SwissGear is normal wear and tear, only then I would recommend SwissGear backpacks to anyone. I never expected such pathetic customer service plus poor quality bags from SwissGear.

3 years ago air france had to replace a piece of luggage. However since it was a replacement noinvoice issued. The handle on the replacement broke, tried to submit a claim and was reject for not having the original invoice or copy of it
Just a computer generated no and file closed. Not sure if buyingareplacement from them is worthwhile given lack of human involve on a quality issue.
