Bought the disco elysium collectors edition. Almost $500 after tax. It arrived in a shoebox literally a shoebox with a sticker of the game not as described. The "hand painted " statue was a rubber caster mold so horribly done i still have no idea what its supposed to be. Video game was missing. I filed with them no response. I finally did a claim through my bank and after weeks of back and forth they convinced my bank that no fault was had so I didnt get my money back. Almost half a g for a shoebox with a small flag, a book that had pages falling out of the bidding and a blob of rainbow colored rubber.

Customer service doesn’t contact back with anything but excuses and they only did something because Walmart put pressure on them. They created a label so I couldn’t cancel the order but it sat like that until I contacted Walmart after trying to contact them multiple times. The phone number listed goes to a cell phone that doesn’t have the voicemail setup. Still haven’t received game or current tracking number even though they said they would contact me with that info the next morning. Not reliable….

Edit, finally received after getting another copy elsewhere, an trying to return now, will see how process goes, I have to wait two weeks before I will know if they will process return🤦🏻not a great policy. I don’t want to have to contact again as Remi was very unpleasant to deal with,

Review is for Outerwild PS5 archaeology edition. Contacted Iam8bit for refund because of a mistake they made on their end during production (disc did not include DLC). Keanu (iam8bit representative) won’t give me give me a refund or offered a replacement with the correct print. Only thing Keanu offered was a $5 coupon who Keanu says will cover shipping…but it did not. Was told to return the item back to Amazon (Bought from and ship from) when it clearly states to contact iam8bit for any issues. Was reassured by Keanu that Amazon is aware of the situation and a full refund would be granted….i can provide confidence that they weren’t aware of the situation and additional hurdles were required for full refund.
Emailed reply to Keanu to see if they can offer a coupon to actually cover the entire shipping cost as promised. Waited almost a month for a reply given additional time for holidays and heard no response. Followed up on 12/20 and found that my case was closed…

Purchased Christmas gift for my son. Fast delivery to Canada. Great communication along the way. Will buy from again.

Don’t buy from this company; I bought 2 of the limited runs of a nes game, they arrived damaged in a damaged box; I reached out to the company and after a while they “filled” a new order; after about 2 weeks of no ship; I reached out to the company and asked them for an update… nothing; wait 5 more days, nothing. So I open a claim with my credit card, and the NEXT day they reach out to me to inform me the item is damaged and can’t be fulfilled, and they will gladly refund me but there’s an open claim, so close the claim so they can process the refund. I call the credit card company and they advise me to keep the claim open as iam8bit could have easily just accepted the charge back and the refund would have been finalized. They have a great premise, but horribly run company…

Like another reviewer - had my Psychonauts 2 Collectors Edition pre-order cancelled, after waiting and waiting, delay after delay, for almost 2 YEARS.

Cancelled with no valid explanation, just citing "quality issue" (despite almost all other customers receiving their orders over the past 10 months).

When pressed for more info, was totally fobbed off. Questions ignored. No effort to come to an amicable resolution, or even provide a partial order fulfilment at a discount, just "no further info".

Got sent a 10% discount voucher as a sorry, which is going to waste because this company is not getting another dollar from me. Extremely disappointing experience. Now I'm forced to try and find a copy on eBay from a scalper who's order WAS fulfilled.

Never again, iam8bit.

They oversold or somehow messed up their PS4 Psychonauts 2 CEs so bad they couldn't send me mine. I've been waiting over 2 years. They refuse to send me the damaged one. I dunno, I guess they don't know what a preorder is, considering I... pre ordered it BEFORE it sold out to guarantee a copy. Don't give them your money unless you want to wait two years to get it back WITHOUT interest.

I've pre ordered a Switch game and then I saw all the (bad) reviews. I was a bit worried but the game came almost on time (2 weeks later but what's 2 weeks when you've already waited 3 months .. !) and undamaged.
Would gladly buy again from them.

Won't let you cancel games that you've pre-ordered. Never seen a company with such crappy customer service. the 1 star average this garbage company has, is completely deserved. Avoid!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Customer service is BAD, and when they reply they use the same automated response. I’ve been scammed by this company, I ordered off their webpage almost six months ago and I have not received a single update or my package.

Refunds are not an option either. Worst experience i’ve had.

Edit April 2nd: I got my refund now and everything should fine, but it bugs me that it took several complaints for me to get my refund. The staff is also patient and were apologetic about this issue so I’m now fine with it.

Company uses deliberate scam tactics, lies and says they shipped the order, then deletes and makes a new order that won't ship until next month, but refuses to refund. Policies are predatory, and service is rude. They act like nobody in the company can do anything but my credit card company will undoubtedly find them as fraud. You cannot just keep someone's money for something that won't be shipped any time soon, and I requested refunds multiple times. What's the point of preordering when the store down the street gets it over a month faster?

Wow. Just wow. This semingly normal video game collectables store draws in big fans, and then says "your item will ship within 3-5 business days". Cool. Wait. It's been 2 months and, 5 emails later, they say that my package is set to ship very soon. left with an unapoligetic email saying what they were saying 2 months ago. How long is 'very soon'? They said very soon 2 months ago. But it's been two months since, yet it is still in the 'very soon' stage. So that is 4 months total. But, knowing iam8bit, they will come back again saying 'oh no, we are working as hard as we can to et your package shipped!'. Let's just add another 4 months. 8 months. 'Small' delays that last for 2 months. 10 months later and they come back saying, 'we forgot to send your shipping confirmation email, and your package was stolen a day ago, and since you don't have Route Package protection, we will keep your hard-earnt $520 dollars and send you on your way'. Pretty sure that's illegal. and it's been a little longer than 3-5 business days.

TERRIBLE!! I ordered a t-shirt on 11/1223 - it's now 12/9/23 and STILL NOTHING. I've emailed several times, but nothing.

Order was "lost by courier" although looking at the reviews here that is questionable in itself.
They don't reply to customer service emails, and they won't put the claim in with the courier for you, let alone refund you. This makes no sense as they can claim comp from the courier if they are at fault. They don't seem to prioritise customers happiness. Super Rare Games are much better option.

Shipped my product to the wrong address and refuses to do anything about it. They are thieves.

Because I had read so many bad reviews, I was hesitant to make a purchase. However, I am a huge Nintendo and Mario fan, so I ordered the 2LP vinyl record soundtrack and the CD soundtrack for the Super Mario Bros Movie. I figured, well, the worst is that I'll be out about $74. I placed my order on 9/15/23. I received an email on 9/18/23 saying my order shipped. It came USPS Media Mail and arrived on 9/25/23. It was very well packaged, and the items came in perfect condition. The cardboard mailer they used for the record was slightly bigger than the record which was good because one of the corners of the cardboard mailer was crumpled, but it did not damage the record jacket. Honestly, it was a better shopping experience than most things I get from Amazon. I will do business with them again.
