I find the sales and subscription model for this company to be incredibly deceptive. I'm not a yokel who can't manage his subscriptions, but I've found that there are two approaches in this space - create long-term customer loyalty by providing ongoing value, or deceive, overcharge, and make it difficult to unsubscribe for customers that you know you are going to lose. In this case I signed up for a $180 annual subscription. After a free introductory period I was billed $180 for the next twelve months. But then a month later, I was billed another $180. I assumed this was an error and I made a note to contact their customer service department. Shame on me I didn't immediately cancel the subscription because then I received I debit for another $180 and it became clear they had me on a monthly billing cycle for $180 not an annual one. I immediately canceled my subscription and was informed that my subscription would end after the next billing. This was an absurd amount of money for fairly generic content that has been gameified into an app. I would recommend one avoid this app and simply buy a well reviewed book and workbook about insomnia.

I really wish the outcome had been better. I wanted to give this program a chance. However, I find it highly suspicious and alarming, that at no time before, during or after my trial membership and making the payment to join this program, was I forewarned that I'd be at an unfair disadvantage if I do not have 1 to 3 individuals willing to serve as free "accountability coaches" for me. Of course the customer experience specialist assures me it's "optional" whether or not I "choose" to have an accountability coach. It's just that "some" people find it "helpful", etc. And I do not "have" to have someone willing to do this in order to be allowed to continue the program for which I've paid. FIRST of all, I am aware that no one on this planet "has to" to anything! That's not the point. Also, the "support staff" did not seem to realize that I am not simply "choosing" not follow their "recommendations". I don't have that option. It would seem to me that anyone who already knows of up to 3 individuals willing, capable and qualified to serve as "accountability coaches" for free, then there's no point in paying for this program in the first place.
