Bellin Hospital Arvostelua 2

Ashley Birder repeatedly failed to address several health concerns over the past two years. I gave her the benefit of a doubt but will be finding a provider who is responsive to the needs of their patients.

I'm only giving one star because I can't leave a no star review.
I would NOT recommend Bellin's physician Ashley A. Birder to anyone having real issues. Any time I have seen her it was a guessing game, but after how she treated me this last time I'll never use her or her associated staff again.
I went in for an issue that I had going on and have had it in the past involving a tonsil infection. I knew for the most part what it was but still needed advice and help. Ashley Birder was the soonest they had available. The nurse asked if I wanted a Strep test. I said "No, I know it's not that because I've had this happen before." Ashley then came in and said she IS doing the Strep test because she THINKS it's a Tonsil stone. I reassured her it wasn't what she thought. I said I've had this before and even have pictures of how it looked before and how it looks now. They are exactly the same.
After her arguing with me awhile saying the only thing she IS doing is the Strep Test or nothing at all, also said if the Strep test comes back negative she's not prescribing me with anything and just to gargle salt water. I told her I know it's not that, I can show you the pictures and what they gave me in the past that helped. I also told her I wasn't comfortable with how I was being treated. She said "I don't care what pictures you have and I'm not the person you talked to before, I'm not prescribing anything for you, I know you don't agree with me but that's all I'm doing." She also looked up a cartoon picture of a Tonsil Stone to show me, even though I told her I know what a Tonsil Stone is and looks like, it's not that. As she did the Strep test that she MADE me take, she also tried to pop it out as if it was a Tonsil Stone like she thought it was and made me gag and really hurt my throat in the process, which lasted days.
So because of how I was feeling regarding this and knew it was something, I could literally see it. I went to Aurora Urgent Care after. They told me I needed surgery and prescribed me what I needed in the meantime to help me feel better. They also told me it was a Mucocele and NOT what Ashley Birder said it was and couldn't believe how she treated me.
I honestly can't even believe someone would sit there and argue with a person who went to them for help and make them feel that uncomfortable when they weren't even right. Even the nurse assisting her looked uncomfortable. The Strep Test she made me take came back negative and I had to have surgery with Aurora on top of it to get it removed. After all that Bellin billed almost $300 for a visit that did nothing for me and made me very uncomfortable.
I brought all of this to Bellin Health's attention. They opened an "investigation," only to say that she tried to help me to the best of her ability and it wasn't her intention so your bill remains.
Well I'm not sure what her intention was when she argued, said she didn't care, said she IS doing the Strep test and that she knows I don't agree. Like what, that was her BEST ABILITY to help me and hear me out?
She didn't try to help or hear me out!!
Now I've been treated by Bellin before many times and never felt the way she made me feel, but after seeing how they dealt or didn't deal with this I'm switching to Aurora all together.
