Louie did an absolutely amazing job fixing our internet. He was incredibly quick, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. On top of that, he was extremely friendly, patient, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s rare to get service that is both professional and genuinely pleasant, but Louie delivered on both. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would highly recommend him to anyone.

We moved to Cambridge, MA in September and decided to try Starry based on positive reviews online, even though we'd never heard of them. It's now late January, and we've had enough experience to share our thoughts.

Setup and Speed Discrepancy
The technician who did our initial install was great, no complaints there. However, during setup we learned our building could only get up to 500mbps, not the 1000mbps advertised. This was the speed that made us choose Starry over Xfinity, and it would have been helpful to know this limitation during the sign-up process rather than at installation.

The Move and Current Issues
In January, we moved to a different unit in the same building and needed to transfer service down the hall. The technician who came for this was in and out in about two minutes. He'd set everything up remotely beforehand and just asked if we had a connection. We did, so we assumed everything was fine.
By late January, we started having connectivity issues. At first, the internet would drop for a few seconds to a couple of minutes every morning around 7:30-8:30am. We read that Starry's fixed wireless technology can be affected by weather, and since it's been snowing, we figured that was the cause and didn't report it. We work from home, so reliable internet matters, but since it was brief and only in the mornings, we let it go.
Today, the situation got significantly worse. The connection now drops every minute or so, making it impossible to work or even stream anything.

Customer Service Experience
Starry's router automatically flagged the issue and requested a callback. The agent I spoke with was polite but couldn't do much beyond scheduling a technician visit for Tuesday. That's understandable given it's Sunday during a snowstorm.
The issue came when I followed up via chat. The agent initially said they'd request an earlier appointment, but when I asked follow-up questions, they stopped responding for an extended period. When they finally replied, they didn't address my questions. While I was typing a response, they asked if I was still there, then disconnected the chat before I could even reply. I was using my phone's 5G specifically so my messages wouldn't be affected by the wifi issues, so I know they were going through.
I don't usually write reviews, but being unable to work from home with no clear resolution warranted one. If you're considering Starry, just know that the customer support experience may not match the enthusiasm of the online reviews. Reliable service and responsive support should weigh heavily in your decision.

Awesome experience becoming a new customer! Christian Cemwenge is a very friendly and intelligent professional, there's been an additional problem with connection, he spent a good amount of his time to resolve it. Not to mention the quality of services: everything is as advertised, download and upload speeds even a bit faster than it says in the plan, awesome service, hope I'll be your customer for a lot of years!

Christian was absolutely the best serviceman I ever interacted with across multiple services - beyond just internet setup. I unfortunately missed his calls a few time so he had to wait 30 minutes out in the Boston winter, but he still kindly helped me out and installed the internet.
