The requirement for phone number…
The requirement for phone number verification for DV SSL certificates is unreasonable. Other brands of DV SSL certificates do not require this, which puts you at a disadvantage.

This verification applies only to Organization Validation (OV) and Extended Validation (EV) certificate types.
