Good Stuff but needs better customer service
SpyFu has lots of great data but after setting up an appointment with a representative, I felt like the person didn't ready want to be there answering my questions so I cut the call short and have been trying to figure things out on my own.

The one free search result is wasted.
Even if you key in the correct URL Spyfu messes it up somehow so that you don't get a result and have to pay.

Tried it but data and features come up way short! I needed local page ranking but not available. SEMrush although more expensive has better results. My go to is Mondovo.com better metrics, ie MOZ and SEMrush and awesome reporting.

Hi, Robert. Thanks for taking time to share your feedback. Tools like ours (including those that you mentioned) capture data from millions of keywords across the country. The downside is that to do this well, we can't stay in one spot and specialize in local data.
However, we do offer our customers the chance to add their custom keywords to our database, and we'll search those every month along with our entire list. People have added things like "sacramento orthopedic surgeon" to force those local results. It's not perfect, but many others are finding it to be a helpful solution. Let me know if you'd like for us to show you how to do it. We'd love to help you again, especially with SpyFu being far friendlier to your budget!
Concept is great; falls short
Concept is great, but does not deliver. I've downloaded reports as PDFs and had them differ from the same report as a CSV file .I spoke with them today and after they updated their site, they found lots of issues. These may resolve. Customer service was a pain in the neck. Once I spoke with someone, it was fine, but no one answered for days, and email response was slow. When I sent screenshots with my issues, my email was marked spam and we went back and forth about that. The site offers a few features for free, but due to the unreliability, paying for it is no better. This site provides enough to scratch the surface, but don't expect too much from them.

A nice tool to have in the SEO/SEM arsenal.
It's a useful tool for getting high level insights. The UX could be a little more intuitive and some of the recommendations it makes are a little out of left field, but it's definitely signal > noise. A nice tool to have in the SEO/SEM arsenal.

Utilizing SpyFu has assisted in increasing SEO ranking and utilizing keywords. It is a giant Venn Diagram allowing us to envision the overlapping areas with our competitors to increase our rank.

4.5 star Improvement suggestions inside
Hi ,
I wanted to give a 4.5 but it did not allow me. Anyways , I like the product but please look into these 3 things
1) You rpovide only US and UK data. Please add more countries like Australia etc.
2) SERP Daily tracking of keywords feature. I think you now have only weekly tracking.
3) The quality of images/charts in reports is very poor. Also the layout is not very clean and lacks the appeal.

The service works extremely well for my prospecting and SEO. Also, the personal high-level of service and attentiveness they provide is exceptional especially for an online type business. Emails, online chat, and they even take phone calls and call back quickly when you leave a message.

Sign up issues quickly resolved
Had an issue with the sign up as was charged wrong. Spoke to Danielle on chat support and within a few minutes the problem was resolved.
Swift service on chat.
Spyfu itself is also really handy. Great service!

Customer Support is Impeccable
Zac and Danielle, the two customer support agents I've interacted with, have been incredibly kind and helpful. I wouldn't be able to use SpyFu nearly as well as I do without them. Four stars because there are some development issues that need to be worked out, but overall a great service.
