Customer service is just non-existent. Repeated emails or “live” chat enquiries (which isn’t live and just emails them) just get ignored repeatedly.

The isn’t a scam or fraudulent it’s just poorly
Managed from a customer point of view which can cause delays and frustrations when issues need resolving as everything is processed manually their end so often have to chase things up

Very professional spread betting company
They are always prompt with payment, never had any issues, some of the bigger betting spread sites should take note ! Good range of sports and horse racing 🐎. Have a spread betting school etc, keep up the good work .

Anybody who manages to accrue a healthy balance simply has their account closed with no recourse.

SportsSpread have been pursuing this modus operandi for at least a decade, probably two. Only in a banana republic like Ireland would they be allowed to get away with it for so long. If this company was based in the UK, the FSA would shut them down, and the directors would be prosecuted for fraud.

0 customer service 0 promotions always accept bet after odds are worse, never accept bet if odds become better

Cant believe they are still allowed to operate. Refused to pay, then closed account. Just google them before opening an account.

Stay well clear. Operate aboard. I have contacted compliance numerous time in the last fortnight regarding major issues without an answer just a simple 'were looking into it'

I’ve sent multiple emails to Sports Spread requesting a transfer of my account balance, and no one has responded. They don’t answer inquiries, and it’s impossible to reach anyone for support. Extremely poor service and honestly feels like a scam. If anyone from the company sees this, I need you to get back to me immediately
Do not waste your time or money with them. Total disappointment.

0 STAR FRAUD COMPANY!!! BEWARE

My experience with this company to date has been mixed. There are both positives and negatives of which I will touch on.

The positives.
* The deposit process is relatively smooth. The money is applied to the account instantly. The withdrawal process is straight forward too, the money is removed from the account instantly and sent to your bank shortly after 9.30am each working day (Mon-Fri).
* They promise the tightest spreads, not factually correct, creative marketing as I would more say joint tightest with their competitor. However still a positive as they are not worse spreads.
* The list of upcoming events on the homepage of the website is helpful.
* The promotions are extremely generous.
* Also, they have wiped out small negative balances on a number of occasions which is a nice gesture.

The negatives.
* Customer service is abysmal. Email is the only form of contact, and general queries are just not answered.
* Range of markets and events is miles behind the market leader. I'd say they only offer abut 10% of the events of their competitor, if even that.
* Despite the earlier mentioned promotions being generous, the opt in system is horrendous, it mirrors that of a 1990s website. You have to email them to tell them you want a promotion, which causes its own problems as they don't always read emails. I got caught out, I emailed them at whatever time, say 6.52 to activate a deposit bonus and deposited two minutes later, I did not receive the bonus. I emailed again later that evening, logged a ticket on the "live chat" the next morning and emailed a third time that afternoon, 19 hours later. I finally get a reply with "sorry for the delay" but proceeding to tell me the bonus wouldn't be applied as I "didn't let them know". Incredible. Only after I threatened the FOS, to present screenshots of the timestamped opt in and deposit and further contacts, did I get the bonus.
* Trades are seemingly all manual, meaning they need to be approved. This causes problems late in the evening as trades are just not accepted on "open-ended" markets after a certain time and it just spins on "The bet is being processed" endlessly until you cancel it. There are some automated approvals overnight but they are on a limited number of markets.
* T&Cs are poorly written and unprofessional. It looks like someone has composed these from a position of frustration instead of level-headedness and reason. Imagine placing this pettiness into a legally binding agreement (section 34 (a)):
"if a client takes three months to settle their account the company at its discretion may choose to only pay out after a three-month period when the client wins."
Also (still section 34): "The company has had to deal with hundreds of missed or delayed settlements of accounts that disrupt the business" - me as a new client do not need to know this. This is not appropriate language for this type of document. It is clear a legal professional has not been consulted on the composition of these conditions.

Conclusion:
The company claims to have been around since 2000, and if this is the case then it is sad to see how far they are behind the likes of Spreadex, with 25 years experience.
If you want simple no-nonsense spread betting on the biggest events, deposit, bet, withdraw, then there's no issue, these guys are fine for that. I continue to use them for that reason.
But if you want variety, piece of mind, security, comfort in knowing that if there's an issue it will be resolved, then maybe this isn't the place for you right now.
All in all, I think at this moment 3 stars is fair, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I really hope that I can come back in the near future to update with a higher score, so we will see how that plays out.

Very good service, withdrawals always on time. Not greedy with the spread lines like other firms and all in all a very good service. Wide range of sports which is ever growing. Could do with a few more offers/incentives for the loyal customers.

Initial experience was good with them however i have noticed lately trader appears to be doing tricks. every time i place a bet on any market it reduces the line by point or two if i am selling and if buying moves the point up by 1 or 2 which seems very weird. Today I tried to place bet on cricket and it showed me a message showing i do not have funds for bet and next minute it accepted by bet on a point where a boundary was scored and my bet was in progress . very disappointed with what they have turned out to be.

Sportsspread is an excellent spread betting site, which fly’s under the radar somewhat. They offer a nice wide range of sports and markets to bet on and have some excellent bonuses and offers that they distribute regularly as well.

This my latest review for Sportsspread and to show my view of them has not changed. As other users have noted, all withdrawals are paid as requested sometimes even on the same day. The refund offer on the Euros has been generous too, and there is still the loyalty bonus paid out. My only criticisms still remain that the refresh in markets after a goal etc. is slow and logging in on a phone would be better if it used Face ID. Otherwise couldn’t ask for better compared to previous operators. Thank you

I just wanted to recognise this company for its customer service. Although having experienced a couple of drop outs in trading at vital times, due to the trial of a new feed platform, they have been very honourable and understanding with situation and offered fair solutions. The bonuses and promotions are also quite healthy if you are turning over good sums.
The spreads are generally short and often spread free in promotions.
In short, if you’re looking for a more personal experience where you feel valued as a client versus the spread betting giants, I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I have seen all the reviews and was worried about this company but if I’m honest they are brilliant ! Yes they should offer more markets etc but the main thing is the pay you out the next day , service is good … bonus are good and generally overall highly recommended. Now I’m more confident with the company after using them for a couple of years will increase my stakes as I’ve held back due to bad reviews and been playing small but as time goes by will bet bigger as my trust with the firm is growing . Give it a go ! Ignore the haters

No idea what these reviews are about in regards to not paying winnings. I've had some good wins and always been paid the next day, always at 9.41am for some reason too. I've had losing days too and negative balances and never been pestered for money, they still always pay out my requests, they have done so far anyway.

The markets aren't too extensive which tbh is perfectly fine for me, easy to keep a track of trades and not get carried away.

Can be a bit slow to put up their prices and some of the spreads aren't the narrowest, but I have found them to be honest and dependable.
No problems putting bets on and always pay out promptly when requested. Based on my own experience, I would recommend the firm.

Not sharing the same negative experience as others. About 3 month in and had nothing but good things. Customer service is great, had negative balances wiped 2 or 3 times. Withdrawals are there next working day.

Not 5 star because the Web page is pretty poor and their event range could be bigger.
