Do not buy from here, Cheap cheap crap, bought an Adidas entrada overhead hoody. It is so thin nasty and cheaply made it looks like a cheap snidey fake bit of cloth. Better quality from temu. IT'S SHIT

This retailer is consistently the worst I've dealt with over the years, their saving grace is the fact that some of their items are good for a cheaper price.

The first problem I had with them was a printed credit note which was valid for a year. However the ink had just about completely faded after about 5 months. Luckily I was able to retrieve the credit note number on it and actually spend it. And before Sports Direct pick holes in this, the credit note was stored in a box in my office, not kept in my wallet.

Secondly, I ordered something from their website and I was due to collect it from my local store. This went missing, the lady in my local store contacted the warehouse. The warehouse claimed it was delivered, however the item was never scanned into the store. I never received the item and therefore I requested a refund. The only good point was that the lady in the store was very helpful and sorted the refund in no time at all.

Bought 2 t-shirts in store as presents for someone. They didn't fit so went back for refund. They would not refund! They only give credit notes so you have to spend the money with them come what may. Disgraceful - won't buy anything from here again ever!

Item missing and still chasing for it two weeks later… piss takers

I have been shopping at Sports Direct (website) for some years now and was happy with the website operation and with the shoes quality. But it looks like the shoes quality has been declining for some time now. It's still OK but the shoes do not hold that long anymore.
Now, some 40 days ago, some software bug in their site would not let be fill in my zip code but say it is mandatory (it is not) so I can't place an order anymore. Their customers service clame that the Dev Team are "Investigating" the issue. It should not take more than a day to fix such a bug, but 40 days later and they are still investigating. I guess it is time to take my business somewhare else.

The worst online shopping experience ever. I ordered a pair of boxing gloves and some other things, which I need this week. They delivered to the wrong apartment and I couldn't find it. I couldn't ever find a real human to chat. The online chatbox says live chat is closed every time. They didn't reply to my email either. I don't know how can I get my parcel or refund

I placed an order for my granddaughters birthday requesting it to be personalised. I checked the order twice to ensure I had done everything correctly. Not surprisingly to myself or the assistant it arrived supper quick NOT PERSONALISED. I took a chance on this occasion, past experience has been just as useless.

Bought a top on the website for £49.99 and it arrived with a tag on it showing was £49.99, now £35.

I ordered two pairs of shoes and paid for delivery. I hadn't tried the brand before but though if they don't fit, I can return to the nearby store (a facility many many other retailers offer - buy online and return to store if necessary).
Neither shoe fit well - I was suprised to find that Sports Direct don't allow in-store returns and now I have to pay another £4.99 to return them.
I definitely won't be ordering anything else from them - other stores are much easier to buy from and deal with.

I tried phoning their Seacourt Botley branch twice and was automatically cut off for starters. I went to the store as the cost of click and collect was not free, which it is in most online shops I use. I was trying to buy hiking shoes Merrell Moab 3 which on line was on sale. They didn’t have my size only in Men’s shoes.
The young woman who served me was very helpful but it was a holiday job. The counter had no one manning it and the large store had very few staff so it explains the phone not being answered. Don’t bother to shop there. Bring back real shops in our high streets!

Very disappointing experience with Sports Direct.

I placed two orders worth over £210 on 9 June. The estimated delivery date was 17 June, but the orders are still showing as “Processing” with no dispatch or tracking information provided.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I tried to cancel shortly after placing the order, but was unable to do so. The items were intended as gifts, and the delay has caused significant inconvenience.

Customer support has been unhelpful and I have struggled to get a clear update on the status of my orders.

I would not recommend this experience based on the lack of communication, delayed processing, and poor customer service

This is the worst buying online experience I've ever had !!
Purchased a pair Endeavour Sandals 3rd June 2026 and the product is so uncomfortable with poor quality straps which rub, whilst just trying them on. After deciding to return them have found that the returns facility by Sportsdirect is non existent. It's a con and I suggest you do not buy anything from this company.

Awful company and useless staff.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

Still waiting for courier to uplift a return ( for which I paid £4.99) Courier has not recieved notification of uplift. After numerous attempts to contact anyone from SD my parcel still sits there. The online 'contact us' form is useless, my query was specifically about a return, none of the options applied to my query so couldn't go any further. Not one telephone number available. The fact that I've already paid £4.99 postage in advance is something I certainly won't be repeating. I won't ever use this company again. Being unable to contact a company after a purchase is becoming all too familiar.

Here's how they get you:

1) Their website states that all items are in stock.
2) You place your order + £4.99 postage.
3) If it's out of stock (like many items are) they send you a similar item in the hope that you'll keep it because returns cost you another £4.99.
4) Their customer service told me that "website images are for illustration purposes only".

For the 2nd time an order I placed was cancelled as was out of stock, their website should show that. Both times they have failed to inform PayPal. On first occasion I contacted them numerous times & they promised I wouldn’t be charged but I already had been therefore I eventually placed a dispute. It’s happened again, straight away I placed a dispute (didn’t even bother to contact them). Was automatically refunded as PayPal probably noticed I had the issue 2 years ago also.

My partner really likes sportsdirect.uk. He had brought a high neck top from firetrap, so he wanted the navy blue and olive green, I did see the lad by the door ,I found out his name was Josh,I told him about my dilemma,because they didn't have any in the shop,he managed to get them on Line,so I could buy them,what good service,and he was so pLeasent, 10 out of 10, a big Thank You.

This company should NOT exist!!!
They have sent me incorrect item in big order, and when I sent it back they said they didn’t receive it.

I initially reported the wrong item the day after receiving it on the 06/11/25 and the case was resolved on 03/01/26. 2 WHOLE MONTHS LATER.
Then they say they helped me with free return.

The worst shopping experience ever!! God forbid you end up having an issue with this none existent customer service.

This business should down. It should not exist.
2 months of a return!! The whole process took (102 EMAILS TO SOLVE)!!!! And over 10 hours of actual typing time repeatedly re-explaining everything over and over an to different useless advisors.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! AVOID!!!
Pay the 2-10£ more and buy from an actual business that has a phone support.

Anything from 4 hours to 4 days to get a reply to your email. Which will be a useless misunderstood email anyway.

An absolute rip off! £4.99 to return something which didn’t fit then another £4.99 delivery to order the next size - do almost £10 to exchange a £15 top!
