Pricing confusion and messy customer service
The website was very confusing and the pricing came in much higher than expected.
I received multiple emails and a call with added charges due the prescription. The last email I received was stating I missed a step and they had to add on $65. When I pushed back that I was already charged more two separate times
For the order, the customer service representative then was able to locate that I had been charged. It was just chaotic and messy. It didn’t seem like they have it together yet. I am still waiting to get the goggles and hope they are great because they were very expensive.

Again I apologize for the misunderstanding. It was taken care of but the online order wasn't updated so it appeared it hadn't. When I manually looked up the order, I saw that indeed the order was already paid for and taken care of. This was just a simple human error of not updating a status on the online portal. We were trying to be proactive and stay on top of the orders with issues, and because the portal wasn't updated (again human error), you got the duplicate request. But once we figured out where the mishap occurred we confirmed you did not owe anything and your order was already processed and getting ready to ship out. Again, we are all humans over here and I hope you can appreciate that this was simply a misunderstanding.
Cautiously Optimistic, but Validated
I was only cautiously optimistic when I heard about you from a fellow on a ski lift at Gore Mt., NY; but I ordered the Rx goggle insert based on this guy's recommendation. I just tried it out in Colorado, and it worked much better than I had hoped! Thank you!

Do not order prescription swim goggles from these people
I ordered a pair of swim goggles with prescription inserts. The prescription inserts were correct for my eyes. The swim goggles, however, were a poor design, and I could not get them to work. They either leaked (when loosened) or fogged up (when tightened) so much that they were useless. I got several squirrelly replies to my complaints, suggesting that it must be my bone structure that was the problem and that I could try sending the goggles back, but they would determine just how much of a refund I could get based on their assessment of how pristine the goggles were. They also mentioned that they couldn't be more accommodating because they are a three person company without many resources. I don't consider that a good excuse for poor customer service.

I'm sorry the swim mask didn't work for you. This is a swim mask not traditional swim goggles. Much like a dive mask, they are more rigid and don't flex around the face. This means they are more dependent on the bone structure to make that seal because they don't flex. We did offer you a full credit in exchange for a more traditional style swim goggle that would flex and maybe work with your face better. For some reason, you didn't want to consider this option. We mentioned, we are small company, and we don't make the product, so any product returned needs to be in "new" condition for a full refund. If the product is used, we cannot give a full refund. Since we don't know what condition your goggles are in, this was just a disclaimer that if they are not in new condition, we can't afford to just write them off being a small company. We can do a partial refund based on the condition as we would need to resell them as used. Again, if you want to consider another product, we are willing to help you. But we can only do a full refund on product in new condition. If the product is used, we have to sell it as used which means we can't do a full refund. I feel like this is pretty normal for any company. I'm sorry you disagree with this, but again, if you wanted to reach out to the manufacturer about the product being defective, perhaps they would be more willing to eat the cost of a used goggle as their costs are much lower than ours being a reseller. But from what it sounds like, the mask didn't fit your face which is not considered a defect. We offer the option to try the mask before you do prescription to see if it fits your face. If the product was defective, it would be covered under warranty and we could replace it. But leaking, unless it is around the lens is not a "defect". It is a fit issue. If you think about shoes, for instance, you can't go running around in the mud and then ask for a refund on the shoes for being defective because your feet hurt. Once you decide to actually use them and then decide they don't fit, they are not fully refundable. This is the same issue here. Again, we still would like to help you and exchange this for a different product, or give you a partial refund. We can't just do a full refund on product that has been used.

The company was so helpful! When my goggles broke a week before my vacation, they sent me a loaner pair because my new ones wouldn’t make it on time. I really appreciate all the help, you made my vacation even better!

I ordered my prescription sport glasses…
I changed my rating from a 2 star to a 4 star because it was my fault that I over looked in the small print that my order could take 30 days. 11/28/24 I confirmed my lens details, so I would imagine 12/28/24 is my 30ish day mark. Depending on when I receive my order, I will either add a star or take away. I am trying to be fair with my review.

First of all, the product I bought is fabulous and the prescription lens’s are perfect. The phone customer service was great as well. I also appreciated the fast delivery service for the lenses.
The only thing I had trouble with was navigating the website as I found it hard to find accessories like the leases for goggles etc. I thought I could buy them on your website but I ended up going to another company to order the product. I also had to call in to get a receipt for the lenses because it wasn’t emailed. I think that is important to have a statement directly from the lens's company to ensure that the order was placed after payment.

I'm glad the product is great! Sorry for the navigation issues. I'll look into that. If you check out by Paypal, Paypal assumes their receipt is your "receipt" so doesn't send a second one. All other payment methods, the receipt does go to email immediately. It may have gone to junk as we have that happen often. One should have been in the box as well, but we are happy to email if you ask as well.

Happy with my 1st purchase
First time customer. Very happy with our purchase. Quick shipping, goggles fit my son very well and he is happy to see clearly in the water now. I did have to do additional research on how to pick the right prescription for him (due to astigmatism), so adding this info to the website would be helpful to first time customers. We'll return when we need new googles.

Excellent post sales support! Have you ever gotten the feeling that your order actually mattered to anyone at the big online retailers? Didn't think so, cause I haven't either...
This was my first order from Sport Eyes and the team there jumped to help with some international shipping issues, rather than just leaving me to figure it out, or find a different retailer.
I am very happy with Sport Eyes and will be recommending them to my colleagues and will be a loyal customer.

BEWARE
If you are ordering Aquaviz swim goggles from Sport Eyes.com, you need to know that there will be two layers of glass. When water gets between the layers, you will not be able to clear it. It will obstruct your vision.
Sight for Sport Eyes says in its info that the prescription is an insert, but they do not warn that it will make two layers of glass and that water will get between the layers and obstruct your vision.
When I discovered this problem, Sight For Sport Eyes said they would only refund the base amount of the goggles, that is $75 out of a total of $260. BEWARE.

I'm sorry you had issues with this product. As mentioned in our email exchange. the product description says it is an "insert" and there are pictures of it with an insert. We also offered you a full credit on the prescription lenses (which are not refundable because they are custom made) on a different product. We just would only offer a partial refund on product that you used in the ocean. As mentioned, if you would have let us know as soon as you opened the product that you did not like the insert, you could have sent it back at that point. But you used the product in the ocean making them "used" and thus not fully refundable. Again, I apologize you are not happy with the product, but we did try our best to work with you to come up with a solution for you. We just can't refund used and custom product. But we did offer a full credit towards another product which you refused.

The team was unreal! They were able to rush my prescription goggles across the border in time for my playoff game, saved the season!

Failure of inventory control
Ordered 2 of an item a year or so ago. Only one was available. This month I checked back on site to see that the item was there and I assumed that meant it was available now. It wasn’t. Improving inventory control would have saved me time and effort.

I do apologize for this. We thought this item was turned off but for some reason it got turned back on. We don't know why, but we are a small company and we don't have a dedicated person to check inventory on a daily basis. Since we have our retail shop too, inventory changes over and the systems aren't connected. We also don't have the high tech, expensive inventory systems. Also, we do mostly prescription and with prescription we order typically direct from the manufacturer meaning we don't use what we have in stock. That is why we don't have "real time" inventory as it doesn't matter with manufacturer direct products. But I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

These folks went above and beyond and ended up getting me the best pair of prescription backpacking glasses I have ever had.
Backpacking glasses had always been a massive pain. My prescription is strong enough that I can't really get a frame with a high bend; the lenses were heavy, etc.
These folks figured out what lens I could get and had to search out a lab (other than their usual one) that could make it happen. And it did. What they came up with was light, with high coverage, perfect photochromatic transitioning. Just brilliant. I'm very grateful. I'm back with them now for a new pair. Highly recommended.
