SpeedyTailsUK is NOT A UK BASED COMPANY. I paid £23.99 for a SpeedyTails 2.0 interactive cat toy that does NOT have any ‘smart’ features and is most likely the same as the much cheaper ones on Amazon. The battery lasts for 25 minutes but the toy has to be re-started by a human every 5 minutes. (The advertised ‘starts up again with a tap’ is misleading. On the toy I was sent, the ‘On’ button has to be pressed in *hard* by someone with thumbs to get it going). It arrived from China (after about 10 days) in a Jiffy bag with its box crushed and the toy loose inside, and I have been told by customer support that I can only return it to their Iowa or China address if I want a refund. The postage with Royal Mail -quoted yesterday at £18.50 - is almost as much as the price I would be refunded, so there is no point sending it back as they do not cover returns postage. Customer support just politely told me there is nothing they can do about this. This is very convenient for them as it means that they can sell an inferior/faulty product whilst customers are put off returning it by the high postage costs. Please do not waste your money. I have lost £23.99 but hopefully I can prevent other unwitting UK customers wasting their money too. I will also be contacting UK trading standards regarding a US /Chinese based company advertising themselves as UK based. The website states an address in London ( 30 Churchill Pl, London E14 5RE, United Kingdom) but this is clearly fraudulent. In addition, I tried to write a review on the website but it wouldn’t let me submit it - and then the review section disappeared completely. This is clearly a scam website. Buyer beware.

In case anyone needs it, the address they gave me to return the toy is as follows:
Logistio, 915 Blairs Ferry Road, Marion, Iowa, USA. I decided not to return it as I do not believe they’ll give me a refund and I don’t want to pay £18.50 for the required tracked postage - to add to the £23.99 I’ve already lost. I have now reported SpeedtailsUK to the ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) for misleading advertising and the National Cyber Security Centre - for pretending to be a UK based company and misleading customers by posing as a UK based website/company when they are really a company called Logistio based in USA and China.

I have just checked my bank account and the payment for the cat toy went to SharkSlidesUK … another London based address with an almost identical website to the SpeedyTailsUK site. I will now be contacting my bank and reporting them as a suspicious transaction … as they’re clearly a company operating a range of dodgy drop shipping sites.

Don’t understand all the hate. Yes mine taken a while to arrive as I think it came from US..but my cat loves this thing.. The Speedytails 2.0 even on carpet it’s the fastest automatic cat toy I’ve seen constantly keeps him engaged until the battery is dead. I can leave them at home chasing this thing for hours constantly interacted since I put it on the floor… Awesome toy.. 10/10

I really wish I had researched this website better before buying! Their website looks and sounds so legit and after ordering one at £5 on eBay which my cat fell in love with but was mortified it died a week later so got sucked in to believing this company was legit! Wasnt until I hadn’t received it a week later and checked the tracking that it was boarding a plane realised I may have been scammed then when it arrived two weeks later, the box was all bashed and it looked no different to the £5 one! Why are the authorities not taking these sights down! I give up on finding a legit one with the interactive mode, it’s a shame as the concept is genius! Plus the email they provide on the site does not work no one replies! I had another email address through the tracking details just a random g mail which I have emailed demanding a refund! If a refund has not been received I will be taking further action!

Ordered 2, only 1 arrived. No response to numerous emails or requests for a refund.
Below limit for any type of legal action so avoid like the plague absolute rip off.

Cheap product shipped from overseas. The website states that there is a 50% discount "today only"... every day. It was supposed to come with an additional feather tail included, which it doesn't - and their contact form is a waste of time as they do not respond. The product is supposed to have two settings (one which activates the toy on contact) but it does not, it just stays on for about 5 minutes then turns off. The battery barely lasts half an hour total (it claims to last hours), and it is way too noisy and heavy for my cat to show any interest in chasing it. Massively overpriced toy from a scam company (even their FAQs are copied from another company, referring to clothing items throughout. What a joke!

The company is a crappy drop shipper with a fancy website claiming to be legit.

Don’t waste your money if you’re going to get one get a cheaper one on Amazon.

The product itself is erratic and noisy my cat won’t entertain it.

I thought i was buying a better quality product not a cheap knockoff… well the whole thing is cheap and a knock off there’s no logo on the box so it shows you how legit it is.

This company is a scammy dropshipper who ignored emails asking for a refund. The product is rubbish, it is was too loud and fast and my cat hates it.
