Sovereign Housing Association Arvostelua 

I have been a resident of Sovereign for 12 years plus, over this time I strongly believe that I have had problems and sovereign have had problems with me, but hey you try living anywhere for over 12 years without a problem and I would strongly suggest your lying ( no offence) but sovereign have come along way in this time and I would very much say that you would have to go a very long way to find a better landlord than sovereign.

Sovereign housing are awful, been let down massively property isn't fit for purpose they don't care, pass the blame and tge case just gets put over to someone else, tried emailing the CEO Mr Mark Washer, just get a generic email back passing the case on to someone with a lot less authority, local MPs involved, they also concluded that Sovereign housing is a disgrace, have all of this in writing, not just me, there is more unhappy residents than happy with the service they provide throughout the whole company, it needs drastic change NOW.

Had a few issues getting a repair fixed a couple of years ago, normally only comment online when not happy, but credit where credit due they were much better with recent repair.

So this company is such a massive joke saying their investors and building better places for people to live, which obviously is a massive lie. I’ve been waiting for a year for my main large window of my property to be repaired and the bathroom window as well, this is not the first time. Also a collapsing asbestos and mouldy ceiling for over 4 years, the list goes on. I was in regular contact with sovereign but was taken or past onto every other department to get no where, even decamped from my home three times as I had no front door it’s was a quarter inch ply as a temporary for 6 months with a padlock to secure the property lol, no seriously I can’t believe it myself. At present I have given up on it due to a mental breakdown and illness that was amplified by my situation which is still ongoing to this day.

Absolutely a joke of a company I have had a broken back door since Christmas and broken tiles in my bathroom and they have cancelled 4 times on me and I have lost over £400 of my hard earned money waiting in for the workers to turn up and they have not
.......so quick to take you rent or email you if you are behind but Absolutely don't care about there tenants i have now been told My complaint has been closed no compensation for my loss of earnings just a aragant email

This is a company with some serious issues of repairs totally out of control . I have been waiting since Feb , for two fence panels to be replaced ? Seriously ?? I can no longer access my property by the front door due to broken lock , have to wait till August for a repair . Add this to window replacement which gets put off annually . They really do not give a toss about paying residents so maybe the only way to force them to resolve current internal issues is to withhold rent payments compatible to the standard of service currently offered . Rents go up , service levels and investment in their properties , goes down !! I do not agree with the poor person on the end of the contacts phone having to endure a constant barrage of abuse born out of frustration caused by these disgusting service levels . Sort it out !!

They get repairs done when they say they will, and are pleasant to communicate with.

I have been trying to speak to a property manager since 21/2/22. No one at Sovereign care one jot about their tenants unless you stop paying the rent. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

If I could leave no stars I would . Inefficiency, dishonest and unhelpful

We have a communal front door that regularly had the lock broken. Obviously someone coming into the building has not got a key, why don't Sovereign just check this? Instead of sending round a locksmith more expense instead of solving the problem.

My contents insurance is not valid without this lock; if I am broken into I will sue for damages.

I have been a Sovereign Housing Association tenant for two years.
There are clearly huge issues with their whole renting practices.
Tenants port of call is through a contact centre. Not one single Sovereign call operator is familiar with any one Sovereign property. So what you have is a total lack of personal service and instead a multi million business masking as a charity, using huge call centres with ouf of touch operators to deal with tenants queries. From overdue maintenance issues, to tenants requests to make improvements to their properties, to complaints over anti social neighbours, nothing can be dealt with effectively when call centre operators only know tenants properties from an address on their screens. Such an ineffective service. Far too many property rentals and telephone staff and not enough old fashioned one to one personal service from local housing officers.
Sovereign housing association is an example of a social landlord concentrating on profits with total disregard for it's tenants and their individual social issues.

Would love to know how some one just recently moved into a 2 bedroom house with no children and not even pregnant a family could of had this house who needed it. There are lots of couples stuck in a one bedroom with there children this would of been suitable for. what a disgrace putting a couple in a 2 bedroom house. May be they know some one who works for sovereign housing.

racist housing company do not apply for them if you've got any bit of Colour in your skin. They won't help you there just call the police or have you dragged into court because they only want white people living in their housing. They are trying to trick me into breaking the contract no Pets allowed but had some women called Rihanna claiming to be from Sovereign leaving me a voice mail saying I can have a dog... when I have emails from Sovereign stating it's agents the contact rules. & that they also want to do an inspection off my property why? Why me & none off the other residents? Because I'm the only African One? Same with camera gotten told I'll be evicted if I Install one but the White residents can have one why? They is no reason other than my skin

Moved into a new build a few years ago. Constant problems with the lift since day one. Repairs take ages to happen.
Then this year with one month’s notice increased our service charge by £140 A MONTH. No explanation given for it until demanded from them - and they couldn’t even get that response to us within their promised response time.

Turns out it was for flytipping, yet from what I can see despite being warned about this issue repeatedly in the first few months of people moving in and being urged to secure the bin area and install surveillance of it have failed to do so - guess it’s easier for them to not bother and just squeeze their tenants for everything they can.

Shoddy builds, expensive charges and useless support services.

I live in a building deemed high risk to safety. Sovereign are not giving us the information they have and they keep deleting my questions on social media. They are incompetent and dangerous.

If they could be given no stars I would vote that. Over a year to get essential repairs sorted in every room of the property and still nothing.
They do not care unless you are a second late with your rent.

They should be renamed to sovereign lack of response

I CANT SCORE 0 ON THIS REVIEW, OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE.
I have such a lengthy complaint about this that Im not going into it.
Communication is poor. Nothing gets done. Questions about serious issues are not answered. I am in a position where I cannot remortgage, staircase or sell my flat and there are no answers to this situation. Horrified. Sovereign - if you read this you must know who this is - contact me and resolve my complaint ASAP.

I’m not happy with Sovereign Housing Association because I have been waiting since May for Nick The Maintenance Manager to phone me to find out if I can have a new kitchen cupboard because the OT advised it.

Having been a council tenant for over 20yrs I'm now with sovereign(almost 3 yrs) I've had issues over a shared driveway with parking for 2 cars per household since I arrived.After numerous phone calls asking for help the issues are still ongoing.Spoke to a housing officer last time I rang who was downright rude and couldn't care less.Nothing has been resolved to date and no further measures put in place that I requested.This was 6 months ago.I fully understand they have alot of issues to deal with but I have found their lack of interest truly shocking and would never recommend then to anyone!

They are useless takes ages to answer the phone keep you hanging on.
Their repair team are in general great but have there hands tied to actually resolve anything as have to get permission from management.
Many many phone calls for so many issues take months to sort(lol).
Now have very low hot water pressure taking 45 mins to run 6 inches of bath water can only run 1 hot tap at a time. Have made an official complaint but still not resolved.
We gave a disabled person living in the house as well but nothing gets them moving to resolve the problem.

It took 10 months to have the new kitchen made safe.
