A warning to people who want to buy from this company should read my review and think twice about it, especially if you decide to buy and change your mind for a genuine reason.
I purchased a top of the range electric scooter for my daughter not understanding that it was capable of travelling 60mph.
Realising my error I contacted the company for a return and refund expecting to cover the costs for shipping the return which is fair enough and normal trading practice.
Unfortunately, Solar Scooters is one of those companies that is happy to snatch your money but is very reluctant to give it back.
This company has a "policy" of charging penalty fees for excuses like "restocking" or providing a box for a return when you already have the original box as the scooter wasn't used or fully unpacked.
The total charges for returning the scooter (a grand total of £145) felt like a severe punishment dished out by this company because they hate having to give money back to customers even when they make genuine mistakes.
Eventually after releasing this review, this company reluctantly offered to refund if I removed this review. I agreed in order to get my money back but I'm reposting it because I feel that strongly about warning people to avoid this company. Stay away from them if you value fairness and good customer service as Solar Scooters possesses none of those qualities.

Solar Scooters customer services go above and beyond from my experience so far, they're amazing! I had a problem with my P1 Pro where it would turn on but no power would go to the motors and they were so helpful in getting to the root of the problem and all it turned out to be was that in the parameter settings P3, which is for voltage, had somehow changed to 48 volts and it should of been at 60 volts as its a 60 volt scooter, so it took me all of about 2 mins in the end to rectify it and it worked perfectly after the voltage change. I can't thank Solar enough and I can't stress enough how good they are. Honestly, they're an excellent company based near London. I'd give them 6 stars if I could!

We purchased the solar P1 scooter for our son last Christmas. Initially we were all thrilled. It was quite impressive to inbox. However, our initial drawings soon turned to disappointment. Very know soon. He noticed that the steering was stiff and there was a lot of movement in the handle bar. we contacted customer services who sent us a video tutorial to fix the issue ourselves. We weren’t satisfied and a catalogue of problems began to grow which we emailed about. We were told that the scooter would be collected and advised that they would be charging us £15 for a cardboard box to carry it in. We paid for the box and the scooter was collected. The whole process took longer than necessary due to a number of misunderstandings on both parts. Eventually, on the 1st of March, we were invoiced for two tyres, Suspension bolts, bushes and bearings and lubrication service. Salah deemed that none of the repairs which were needed were covered by warranty with labour. We were invoiced £190.97… this was eventually reduced to £177.60. Once we had paid The scooter was red returned, but the wrong tires have been fitted. The home was still making a strange down, and strangely the range on the battery was decreased. This was queried Without resolution however, we were told that we could return the scooter again for the tiles to be replaced with the off-road tires which we purchased.

We were told that these off road tyres would be durable and not puncture. Despite it being a mistake of solar, we were invoiced £30 labour for the tires to be changed. The reason Salah gave is that the scooter had been used and they could not reuse the tires which they put on by mistake. Let’s go to has barely been used since as these tires punctured immediately and the price of a cardboard box increased from £15-£20 making sending back the scooter to solar not an option we could afford having already spent so much on the scooter and a catalogue of repairs, which should not have needed doing in a short space of time. Yesterday, my son used his scooter and was almost thrown from it when the bearing’s collapsed. Awaiting response from Sarah to see how they wish to proceed, and wishing we had never purchased the scooter, which is of inferior quality from a company with appalling customer service.

The scooter and customer service was amazing did all what it was meant and said to do.

My experience with Solar Scooters has been nothing short of a nightmare. I purchased Solar EQ electric scooter with the expectation of a fun yet safe and reliable mode of transportation, but what I received was a disaster waiting to happen.

After owning the scooter for six months, it suddenly lost all power and smoke started pouring out of the deck, causing severe damage and posing a significant safety risk. To make matters worse, upon contacting Solar Scooters sending pictures of the damage even video of smoke coming out of the scooter they have refused to honor the 2 year warranty, claiming water ingress being the cause. In fact the scooter has never even been around water. This incident was a clear product malfunction, and I expected better customer service.

After the dozen or so extremely rude emails along with their lack of accountability and commitment to customer safety I have come to the realization that Solar Scooters is a shady dishonest company reselling a cheap scooter with a shiny face lift.

I strongly caution potential buyers to think twice before investing in a Solar Scooter. My hope is that sharing this experience will help others avoid a similar situation and, at the very least, push Solar Scooters to improve their product quality and customer service.

Delivery has been a joke waited over 2 weeks for it and only compensation I got for paying for 1-3 day delivery was some break pads. I still don’t think it’s arrived however I am not home yet.

I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment and frustration with Soler Scooter due to their abysmal communication and extremely bad customer care. My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, primarily because of the continuous problem I have been facing with the scooter's brakes.

I purchased my scooter on August 30th, nearly three months ago, and during this period, I have been able to use it for less than 10 days. This is beyond ridiculous and unacceptable. Not only has this situation rendered the scooter virtually useless, but it has also caused me immense anxiety and frustration.

What exacerbates the issue is Soler Scooter's complete lack of response and disregard for customer complaints. Despite reaching out to them multiple times and expressing my concerns, they have failed to provide any meaningful assistance or resolution. Their communication is nonexistent, leaving me feeling ignored and unimportant as a customer.

Yesterday, I sent a formal complaint letter demanding prompt action and resolution to my scooter's recurring brake problem. However, if they do not bother to respond to me by the end of tomorrow morning, I have made up my mind to take this case to the small claims court. I firmly believe that I am entitled to a full refund and additional compensation for the mental distress and inconvenience caused by this faulty product.

My mental health and peace of mind are far more important than dealing with this woeful excuse for a company. I am prepared to fight for my rights and pursue legal action if necessary. Soler Scooter's lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction have left me with no choice but to escalate this matter further.

I strongly advise potential customers to steer clear of Soler Scooter if they value their time, money, and sanity. This company's incompetence and indifference have tarnished what should have been an enjoyable experience. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a reliable and customer-centric scooter provider.

Ordered a tyre that was delivered in an apparent safe place of my address in which I never instructed it to be. I checked the safe place and the tyre was nowhere to be seen.

Got in contact with Solar and was told I personally had to get in contact with Royal Mail to resolve my issue? Surely the business should be chasing the courier company they use, not the CUSTOMER.

I needed the tyre urgently so then was told by Solar I had to pay an extra £7.99!! for redelivery, for something which was completely out of my control and should have been resolved with Solar themselves.

The email responses were very slow and I felt like I was constantly chasing to resolve my issue.

Overall this was a fairly easy situation to sort out which turned into almost two weeks of back and forth emails and in the end having to pay extra delivery costs.

Will not be using again.

I purchased the Solar P1 2.0 in June 2023
It's a brilliant scooter overall however, the frustrating experience I am having with the tire's especially the rear tire. I've even taken it to my local garage for an inspection. It was clear there was no puncture, yet air kept leaking out.
While I appreciate Solar's prompt responses to my concerns, I'm disappointed by their lack of helpful solutions.
I wished the tires were more durable, especially considering the price of the scooter.

I received my solar P1 2.0 scooter on the 5/10/2023. On initial inspection the scooter arrived in a damaged box and on opening the box, the polystyrene at the bottom of the box was damaged. So I took the scooter out and setup a fingerprint as per instructions given. It was when I wanted to setup a second fingerprint, noticed there were issues, as the original fingerprint would not be accepted. It took a few goes and eventually the fingerprint got accepted. Also noticed that the power button on the fingerprint unit would not retract backwards and forwards as it was stuck. So this made the scooter pretty much useless and redundant. I contacted solar by numerous emails, as they don't provide a phone number to contact them on. They just kept on saying its our fault and its all down to user error, nothing to do with their faulty untested product. I therefore have had to raise a PayPal dispute to get my moneyback for faulty goods. It should not be this way, but please avoid this company, as I believe the items are of poor quality and not brand new, from the box it was sent in and faulty fingerprint unit given. It is clear from all the one star reviews that Solar Scooters blame the customers for all faults with their scooters and have a clear track record of doing this. It shows the complete arrogance of this dodgy company who cannot accept responsibility for selling cheap and nasty Chinese products at over inflated prices. Even reviewers have commentated that the scooters do not last and have electrical faults, where wiring is burning out. I will never buy or accept any goods from this company or as exchange as I have no faith in their products. My biggest mistake was not to read the one star reviews first on Trustpilot. Come on Solar Scooters, accept responsibility for your faulty products and stop blaming customers for your mistakes. Thank god for PayPal, otherwise, these dodgy companies would get away with it! Please look at my reviews and one star reviews are warranted in all my cases! I also have good reviews too. New update today(07/02/2024) - 2nd battery I just forked out £350 on, died also. So it shows the quality of cheap rubbish that Solar use. I have now ordered a proper scooter a Dualtron Storm Ltd, as I am so fed up with Solar. I could speak to the retailer selling the Dualtron, unlike Solar who hide behind emails. Also send anything back to Solar, they never refund you back for anything!
