Sofology - Straiton Edinburgh Arvostelua 

Johnathan, the assistant, was very helpful. He had a very good product knowledge and a pleasant manner, which made for an enjoyable experience.

Great visit to showroom everything really explained in good detail by Colin and it all made it easier for making our final decision

I must say how friendly and helpful the staff at Edinburgh's Sofology Store were. Although I have chosen not to make a purchase at this time, I would definitely go back again to view their sensibly priced range with extensive colour and fabric options. Great store and great staff!

Normally I kinda hate going into these places I find they follow you about and ask you questions and so on like at car dealerships but the lady welcomed us , explained how they work and explained the sofas you can get from the boards and the racks of the types of fabrics /leather the pacific Sofa comes in

And left us to it to shop around I fell in love with a sofa and awaiting delivery

Our initial visit was relaxed with an introduction from staff on how to navigate the store and options. No pressure whatsoever and noone following us around. Were free to look and explore at our leisure. The 2 staf we spoke to were fully informed and really friendly and helpful.
We returned to buy and were supported from the moment we walked in to complete the sale. Staff member again fully informed us of options, taking sames into different light sources to help make decision. She was supportive with no pressure at all to take on extras...though we did!! We were fully informed of next steps and delivery process. Old fashioned great customer focused service all round. Great team at the store am already recommending to friends and family! Looking forward to our new suite! Thank you

Our visit was a brilliant success. Having to purchase a new three piece suite for elderly parents the staff were excellent. They knew their stuff and were extremely knowledgable and at no point did we feel pressure to buy a particular suite. Excellent service throughout

Great customer service and Harrison was spot on at helping us and making sure we had everything we needed to make a decision. He never pressured or rushed us and was great experience start to finish!

The sales lady Aida was very professional and very helpful . She listened to what were looking for and advised us on what future would work best with my disability. We visited a few times. Aida was very approachable and helpful on each occasion. She made the whole experience a pleasure. Aida was the face of your company and was a pleasure to do business with. Because of Aida we didn't look at any other store as we had planned to do.

Hubby and I used to be great fans of Sofology, buying multiple sofas, but also recommending them to family and friends.

Sadly, that’s no longer the case!

At the end of October (2025) we took delivery of a pair of two-seater leather sofas, purchased for our family’s holiday lodge.

We had no hesitation in returning to Sofology because our original sofas, purchased 8 years or so ago, are still in great condition and one small issue we had with a bolt that kept falling out of the recliner, they resolved very quickly.

We then bought one for our office following that too; 6 years old and not an issue in all that time. Still in great condition and used by lots of bums!

Sadly, we can’t say the same for these new ones. We have only had them for 8 months, in a holiday lodge we spend at most, every second weekend in; approximately 3/4 days out of 14.

In this time, the seats which are used most often, have flattened considerably, with an obvious height difference already from where they started. It’s clearly visible because the left hand side now sits over an inch higher.

Even the leg raises are showing obvious signs of flattering that makes them look 8 years old, rather than the 8 months they are.

There’s no way that they should be flattening this badly, this quickly, and having paid well over £4,000 for these sofas, they should not be showing this level of wear in this short a time frame.

So I emailed customer service. No response.

Then we called the store where we bought it. They promised a call back from the manager. You’ve guessed it… it never came!

My follow up email, sent after 10 days has also gone unanswered. It’s only when a friend said they’d had similar issues getting a response, so they did a Trustpilot review and that’s when they got a response.

This just isn’t remotely acceptable, but if it’s the tactic that works, then it’s worth a shot before we escalate this to their CEO/Trading Standards.

I don’t know what’s gone wrong with Sofology customer service, but ‘buyer beware’.

Colin was amazing! He was so attentive and kind and helpful. He took the time to help us figure out if the couch would fit in our home and explained all steps to us in great detail. Thank you so much Colin!

Staff member Elaine was very helpful, dropped a star due to having to pay £129 for delivery which I think is ridiculous

I have bought my last three sofas from Sofology Straiton where I always find the staff to be helpful, knowledgeable and always happy to help.

Jonathan salesman was really helpful , knowledgeable and really friendly , 2nd time we've bought sofas from sofology, won't go past sofology at straiton 🙂
