Nearly 2 months, no refund, lies, and endless delays — completely unreliable
I ordered two pairs of Ray-Ban glasses from SmartBuyGlasses Canada. One arrived damaged, the other was never received despite UPS marking it as delivered.
Missing glasses: I paid $20 for Optional Shipping Protection.
Despite this, they demanded a signed non-receipt declaration AND an official Halifax Regional Police Report before they would even consider a refund. I complied with everything. After weeks of "managerial review" responses, a refund of C$416.30 was finally approved — and has still never arrived in my account.
Damaged glasses: I returned the damaged pair using their own return label. Their own tracking portal (track.omnirps.com) confirms delivery to their sorting facility on May 13. It is now nearly 3 weeks later and they are still claiming they haven't received it, while simultaneously blaming Canada Post — contradicting their own system.
Their team is completely unreliable. Every email brings a new excuse — "managerial review," "logistics team," "return partner," "Canada Post investigation." The responsibility is passed around endlessly while nothing gets resolved. They switch between named service managers and a generic "SmartBuyGlasses Team" with no accountability.
I have provided every document they requested. I used their return label. Their sorting facility received the parcel. None of that matters to them.
Total owed: C$782.10. Nearly 2 months later, not a single cent refunded.
Formal complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau and Service Nova Scotia Consumer Protection. Legal action through Nova Scotia Small Claims Court is being pursued.
Avoid this company entirely. If anything goes wrong with your order, you will be ignored, misled, and strung along indefinitely.
