I’ve had a paid profile on SKOUT for about 4 days. Received 425+ profile views and multiple chat requests. I could count the profiles likely to be real on one hand. Almost all of the chat requests immediately asked for my email information or more personal information and at least 1 tried to express “genuine” interest only to later try and ask me for personal information in a phishing attempt. I don’t know if the female experience on this site is similar or identical to mine but this platform is essentially practicing deception in advertising. When confronted with the numbers they simply asked me to report the profiles in question.
This platform advertises itself as a app for talking to people but apparently their business model is to flood individuals with advertisements from fake accounts recruiting for pornographic sites, local hook up sites, and cam girl premium snap accounts. It’s pathetic what this supposed “social” platform has become.

I have been on skout for 3 months, and I've been approached by too good to be true men. They are doctors, business owners and Army soldiers.
However they all had a few thing in common, they all in European locations (fake locations) saying that they are there for a short time, to make you believe they are travelers. They also ONLY use Hangout as there is no need for their WhatsApp number with their country code.
All of them tell you they are falling in love almost immediately. They also use professional English not for chatting!. They ALL use full names (not nick names) such as Michael Douglas.
I had connected with one in particular guy and he was so good at expressing his feelings and how much he needs a woman like me in his life!
He told me he's on a mission to a war zone to save lives as he is a medic/ doctor
He sent me pictures of the most handsomest guy on earth wearing medic uniform and there were too many which made me not doubt him.
He even sent me pictures of his family together.
However, his story never added up and after putting pressure on him he admitted that he's a Nigerian guy whom they are after money but apparently I killed him with my Kindness and he could not do any harm to me.
He admitted to me in his own words

I hope every girl and guy reading this, will take care and ask yourself those lists of questions:
Is this person too good to be true?
do they have a mobile number with country code that you can reach them on?
Are they always making excuses why they can't meet you because they are traveling or their work environment doesn't allow them to take hangout calls ( to avoid you from hearing their accent )
Are they madly in Love with you and you are their dream come true?This is a red flag!!
Lastly what do they know about the country the claim to be from? Because mine didn't even know the most basic attraction or the culture.

- I am adding this 3 weeks after my original post. He is now bullying me to send him money!!
I blocked him everywhere but he keeps creating new usernames to write to me.
If anyone experienced something similar and maybe can advise me what I should do?

It used to be a great app . But now it’s just a cat fishing scamming trolling prostitution app that will keep on logging you out blocking you for no reason for apparently it says breaking their terms and privacy that you probably haven’t , infested with all desperate and money grabbing even gang related people .. watch out with your credit card and personal profile a lot is in it to grab what they can. It’s not as friendly as it used to be . It’s gross now. I was a member since it started now the moment it hit 2020 2021 it’s just went down the hill real bad . Nah this is absolute trash now. Must be caused of pandemic lack of admin who knows don’t know but yea don’t go on this app waste of time and money . I’ve tried to contact the skoutsupport but they said I had violated their terms and privacy I’ve been there for years and now now I receive a message I have alright then see ya . Plenty of better apps out there

Many fake accounts!!! I was deceived, my feelings were played with. Close the application without getting hurt.

*Was I able to date REAL men out of this app? yes.
*Is it full of fake profiles and scammers? yes, plenty of them so keep your eyes peeled and don't be gullible.

The worst part is it Blocks your account for no reason, Trust me I've created 4 accounts in a span of 6 years, 4!! 3 of them were closed for ABSOLUTELY no reason at all and I've reached out to Skout to restore my account but I kept getting the "You have violated the Terms and Conditions" without explaining as to why and I NEVER did anything wrong! The worst is I was streaming and gained diamonds, all of them gone just like that. I don't sucggest this app for people who want to be a Streamer, I had better experience with Tagged (surprising) but Tagged never deleted my account which I had for 7 years now

My app locked me out of my account for no effing reason. This app is a POS get it fixed or get sued.

I agree with one of the previous post. It is not a date app. Many try to deceive you. In minutes you find all they want is money and exchange photos.. this site deserves no stars.. the worst..

Someone stole my pictures from a profile I had made on Meetme to stream.. they keep changing the location from state to state and no matter how many times I report the fake profile on both skout and meetme NOTHING has been done.

Skout app is the worst out there . They don’t police there own platform for all the guys that say they are woman ! When you find a woman most of them 95 % are not even in the area in which they say on the location of there profile . 95 are in other areas

If I could give zero stars I would. Skout is the most screwed up app I’ve ever come across. Everybody who messages me on there is a bot account who replies to my response with a link to their email saying reply to my email I’ll send pics and phone number. the rest either don’t respond or want money for sex. In the three years I’ve been using skout I’ve only met one woman face to face. This is a shady site that you’re best to avoid

I had a skout account that was blocked for absolutely no reason at all. In 2 months i put close to two grand into this app and out of no were i get banned.. no clue what i did and after several attempts to contact then i had no replay.!!!

This app is dangerous, I’ve had my credit card number stolen... And both times I downloaded this app I had a gang after me, to get me to prositute. I had these people find where I lived, by the gps. These people have out of state license plates, tinted windows and followed me into stores, they tried to lure me Into a hotel... The app is full of fake profiles, pimps.. I also believe this app is hacked and they can see you through the camera and mic settings... If you are a woman, I would not download this application... it has scared me enough that I wouldn’t want any woman to go through what I went through... The developers do nothing and let the scammers, pimps, prositutes ruin the app... This app should take this seriously, honestly it should be shut down for good. If the app was used as it was originally developed for it would be great.. BUT it’s not and it’s dangerous!!! Use at your own risk!!! 80% is fake profiles.

Skout is a dead site mostly fake/scam accounts.

I 've been using skout to meet lots of interesting people and I'd say 75% of people I've met and had a great time with, but the other 25 % it baisicly scammers, bots trying to con you into giving away info to your identity then steal it, prostitutes, but the majority including myself seem to be the people looking for puff n play, no one seams to be aware of this, but the alarming amount of real women profiles that msg me and say they are looking for pnp but are actually on here looking to trick you by agreeing to meet you, then when you get there make up some excuse to convice you to giving them the drugs then they say I'll be back in a min I've got my SISTER inside come in after she goes, baisicly playing on guys emotions to manipulate and Rob you blind, verry mixed bag with skout sometimes is good but sometimes it's really dangerous.

I used this app three years ago. It seemed ok then. Like regular people trying to chat or masturbate. Then in 2020 something happened. The people seemed like chat bots. Or people trying to provide counselling/distraction rather then meet someone. There was something really disconcerting in the completely different experiences. The second experience made me question whether the first was real, because it was so competely different. In retrospect, the first experience seems more likely to be real then the second. Its interesting how the brain works when offered a different experience. Logic kicks in however.

I was on my stream tonight and I had two nasty invdividuals commenting on my stream the first one commented asking if I was schizophrenic, I asked him why he was asking me a question like that and he said that his friend saiď that I wouldn't go out with him coz I was schizophrenic, I knew who he was talking about, but I only spoke to his friend twice when he came into the chat box to talk to me, my friend who is bouncer kicked him out, then a minute later I got another one asking if I was going through the menopause, I'm doing these streams a few weeks but if this is the crap I'm going have then I'm going stop doing them, I don't want want drama or ignorance on my stream I'm just there to talk and make connections, id like to think that skout is monitoring this and banning these people, no need for nastiness or ignorance

hi I have use meetme and skout for 5 weeks first I need to say is a real review at first it great for live muisc that is free when you can find it the some people are ok but a lot are looking for Points but

Used to be a great app for dating, hooking up or just making friends. Fastforward to 2020 and 95% of the women are cam gals, escorts, prostitutes...What a shame. Absolute waste of time.
