I used this app to get a tax refund for purchases I made during my visit to France, and it's absolutely fast, easy, and results-oriented. It helped me get things done very effectively; I definitely recommend it.

Was confusing at first but really easy to get refunded

I used SkipTax in France for the first time last year and it worked perfectly. This year it worked quite well and I received reimbursement within 24 hrs which was very impressive. A couple of observations - we returned from France by ferry from Cherbourg - the single tax terminal/machine in the passenger terminal at Cherbourg was not working and had apparently been out of commission for some time. It was only after speaking to a number of people that I was advised to go through the initial vehicle checkin but to stop and park up before going through customs and head for the customs office where my SkipTax barcode was scanned and accepted very quickly by the customs team. It would be helpful to have this advice available on the SkipTax app if the tax terminals go out of use. Secondly it is only when you scan your supermarket invoice that you are informed that the digital invoice without your name and c/o SkipTax is included - this is almost impossible to get a supermarket to customise your receipt so all supermarket wine purchases could not be used - the majority of refunds will be for purchases from supermarkets. It is suggested you email or contact the supermarket - I suspect ones chances of getting a supermarket to respond before you leave the country are minimal at best.
In the past one could annotate the receipt with one’s name and c/o SkipTax and this was accepted but now rules have changed so the benefit of SkipTax and other similar apps is greatly reduced.

Je l’utilise depuis plusieurs années et ils se sont bien amélioré par rapport aux débuts. Je ne doute pas qu’il y aura d’autre amélioration au fil du temps. Le fonctionnement est simplifié et cela est grandement apprécié.

Excellent app. This app has progressed so well in the last few years from using it in 2024 and 2026 it’s a big difference. This time I was able to scan all receipts well and generate the barcode and the refund received within 24hrs of scanning the barcode at the terminal.

The skiptax app itself is amazing! I got back from Paris last night at 10pm and was paid by 10am this morning.
Using it for Disneyland Paris receipts is super easy - for other shops it became a bit of a nightmare asking for invoices. Not many understood, a few ushered me to the tax free counter even though I hadn't spent enough for counter services (so make sure you stand your ground and ask for the invoice).
I would probably use skiptax for Disney and Global Blue for other shopping in France!

J'étais sceptique mais ai suivi les étapes en me disant "si ça marche tant mieux, sinon tant pis". La démarche est très bien expliquée dans l'application et très facile à faire valider à la borne (pour nous à Le Shuttle à Calais). J'ai reçu mon remboursement de taxe en moins de 12h, je recommande vraiment!

Great App, easy to use and very quick.

I've had the app for a couple of years now, and used 3 or 4 times. Extremely easy to use, and providing you follow the instructions regarding your purchase receipt, claiming the tax back is practically effortless, just make sure you know where the barcode scanner is at the departure point.
