I’m really glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I love mine. I have fairly small feet - maybe that’s why. I like that the rubber protects the tops of the toes. I haven’t yet found a surface where my feet are uncomfortable. I don’t have a problem with the ankle fit either. I’ve just ordered another pair because I ordered Moss first time and they’re lovely for walking or running but I’d like to be able to wear them on the street too as they make me feel grounded. So I ordered black ones which maybe won’t get me looked at as much but tbh I don’t care that much (I’m looked at anyway) lol.

Der schuh ist etwas teuer aber taugt was.

I’m a barefoot runner based in the UK. Was looking for something to wear on colder runs (am normally a Vibram Fivefingers man), so was very excited to order my first pair of Skinners. Orders are sent directly from Czechia and it only took 5 working days for the parcel to arrive, which is great. I only tried the shoes for a short period around the house. Please note that they are not by any means barefoot shoes. For a starter, the toe box is far too narrow. The rubberised material in front of the toes is quite stiff; hence preventing the toes to move freely up and down when walking (the narrow toe box obviously doesn’t help that either). The socks come with an inner sole which is removable. I found that this was not fitted well and kept moving around. The worst bit is that the socks are cut too short around the ankle (almost as if they wanted to cut costs on material) and therefore constantly feel like they are slipping off. I’d be very worried to run in them, as this aspect is not only a hindrance, but also a danger for injury. Needless to say that I was not happy with my purchase, so I returned them to Skinners in Czechia. I had to do this at my own cost. More than 40 days later I still haven’t received my refund. I contacted the company several times, but so far have only been fobbed off. Not only are their sock shoes a poorly designed and cheaply manufactured product that is hyped up by a few influencers, the company also appears to be very happy to scam customers out of their money. Best to be avoided!

Vorab ich liebe die Skinnes vorallem die 1.0 diese waren lange Zeit top, nun löst sich der Belag ab, ich habe mich an den Support gewendet und Sie meinten das kann nicht "von einer normalen Nutzung" sein, daher ggf. ein Produktfehler. Dann wurde gefragt nach der Bestellnummer von Amazon diese habe ich mitgeteilt, nun gab es eine Mailschlacht hin und her, da Sie die bestellung bei Ihnen nicht finden konnten und Sie so eingenommen waren, diese nach 20mal hin und her habe ich nun selber neue gekauft, aber so ein Arroganter Support der nichts hinbekommt habe ich schon lange nicht mehr erlebt. Gute Produkte (leben halt so wie es scheint nicht so lange) misserabler Support.

Trage die Sockenschuhe seit über einem Jahr meist in den Bergen. Normaler weise gehe ich Barfuß habe aber meine Grenzen was Temperatur und Untergrund angeht. Da kann ich den Bereich mit den Sockenschuhen sehr weit ausdehnen. Auch bei schroffem Untergrund sehr angenehm.
Langlebig und tolles Gehgefühl!

After looking at many reviews and videos (and there are dozens) for barefoot sneakers, I found that the Skinners "Walker" seemed to meet my requirements best, particularly as far as subtle styling and (hopefully) fine quality is concerned. When it came to completing the online order there was a problem - I contacted their customer services and it was immediately resolved. The sneakers arrived 3 days later. The fit, comfort, quality of leather, and detail of finish are excellent and I want to thank the Skinners team for a really good online shopping experience

Horrible customer service. They seldom reply to emails, each time it is a different person so you can’t really get anywhere. I liked my first pair of shoes but the size was off, so I decided to order them again in bigger size. The shoes came damaged, so I decided it’s not worth the money (each return is 14€). But they claim they did not receive the package which they did! I am still waiting for my money to be returned! Horrendous!

Not satisfied with customer service.
The insole in the shoes tore after a year of wear. Upon request, the company refused to send new ones, refused to handle it as a claim directly, and referred me to a dealer who would have had to send the claim to the manufacturer anyway. Incredibly inflexible and unhelpful company.

Ob nun die Ware in Tschechien oder in China zusammengebastelt wird, ist unerheblich. Ist beides gleich schlecht, bei diesen Produkten.

I have worn “barefoot” shoes for many years and was quite excited by the possibilities of this product. The purchasing and shipping process were great, product arrived in a timely fashion. However, the minute I tried one on I realized the major fault in their design… toe box is way too narrow to allow your toes to spread out. Having realized this I proceeded to send them back and get refund which is where things got worse: Skinners does not provide return shipping, so if you decide to buy this product think twice.

I would not recommend it.

Lovely product but beware sizing is off and the returns system doesn't work from UK. they just get sent back from Czech customs and then skinners customer services are not good at all in trying to help. I finally got a refund for a pair I bought in November but still waiting on resolution for a pair my son bought in December. they don't respond to emails very well. expensive product if you get stuck with the wrong size like we did! and the returns postage cost is approx £12!!! and a waste of time

Terrible. The shoes are not true to size. When I tried to return this shoe using the information provided they got sent back to me. When I asked for a return label / some other way to return the item, they just said no. I am now stuck with a £50 pair of shoes that don’t fit me and no way of returning them. Unbelievable. Avoid at all costs if you are in the UK.

Meine Support Anfrage wurde super schnell, effizient und auf Deutsch beantwortet. Das Problem beim versenden wurde sofort angegangen und das Produkt ist heil mir angekommen. Weiter so!

Waren ist so la la. Können wir nichts mit anfangen. Unser Sohn wollte dieses Socken auf keinen Fall anziehen.

Problem ist: Der Retour soll ins Ausland nach Tschechien erfolgen. Das bedeutet ca. 9 EUR Versandkosten beim günstigsten Dienstleister. Das entspricht knapp 20% des Warenwertes. Auf Nachfrage kommt nur: "Der Käufer ist für den Rückversand" zuständig.

Absolut unseriöser Laden! Finger weg!

Skvělé "boty". Kupovala jsem pro děti i pro sebe. Všem nám vyhovují maximálně. U dětských se objevila vada. Obchod reagoval skvěle a za pár dní jsme měli nové botky doma.

Sehr zuvorkommender Kundendienst. Meine Nachricht wurde schnell und freundlich beantwortet. Alles Bestens, meine Kids und ich lieben die Skinners!

After the sole of my second pair of skinners began to crack at the heel after three months of use, I contacted them through Facebook. Two days later a replacement pair is already on the way!

The product is excellent, really nothing more to say. The shipping was very fast and arrived perfectly on time.
The reason for 4 stars was the shipping fees, it accounts for 40ish% of the shoes price, I believe it can discourage somebody from purchasing them. If coming from a UK warehouse it can be posted via Royal Mail in a letterbox compatible packaging.

As a mentally ill patient, I came to realize the importance of stable foot wear as a form of therapy. The Asia medicine of acupressure on the bottom of your foot, has points that connect with body parts within the human body structure. The barefoot concept, works with the acupressure by pushing those points under your foot to relive stress and promote healing. I'm glad i have a pair to take with me, anywhere and everywhere no matter the environment that I find myself in during non thearpy sessions. Thank you again skinners Inc for the sock that can out last a SHOE!

Ich habe sie gekauft, weil ich leider so leicht umknicke. Barfuß knickt man in der Regel nicht um; andere "Barfußschuhe" haben mehr Sohle, aber die Skinners sind wirklich wie Socken und ich fühle mich absolut sicher.
Abgesehen davon ist es ein unglaublich tolles Gefühl, sich so verbunden mit der Erde zu fühlen und gleichzeitig keine Probleme mit kleinen oder großen Steinen zu haben, trotz sensibler Fußsohlen.
Wenn ich auf den Berg gehe, dann nur noch mit Skinners! Danach hat man mega Muskelkater - aber auch schön trainierte Waden :)
Selbst mit Baby/Kleinkind auf dem Rücken, also zusätzlich Gewicht, komme ich gut voran und fühle mich trittsicher. Vielleicht sogar noch mehr als mit Wanderschuhen, weil man bedachter geht.
Ohne Berg auf Asphalt würde ich sie nicht empfehlen. Aber selbst wenn noch ein bisschen Schnee liegt, habe ich warme Füße.
Absolute Kaufempfehlung!
