The coverage you describe has a reason worth naming: the Simbye Indonesia eSIM isn't tied to one operator. It moves between Telkomsel, Indosat and XL Axiata depending on which has the stronger signal where you are, which is why the gap between a busy city centre and a quiet stretch of coast is less pronounced than with a single-network SIM.

The cooperation with Simbye was without any problem. Card was shared instantly and there was no problem with installation. The only problem was with internet connection speed - but that's problem of the provider in the place where we have been.

Hervorragende Verbindung, einfach und schnell
Wir haben vier eSims USA für die ganze Familie bestellt, alles ging super easy und wir hatten immer eine hervorragende Verbindung. Falls das Datenvolumen nicht reichen sollte, kann man über die App ganz einfach und schnell nachbestellen. Wir hatten jetzt schon 2x bei simbye gebucht und wir werden es bestimmt wieder buchen.

Für die nächste USA-Reise vielleicht noch interessant: Die USA-eSIM von Simbye gibt es auch mit einer echten amerikanischen Rufnummer für Anrufe und SMS. In den Staaten hilft das mehr als anderswo, weil viele amerikanische Dienste erst eine US-Nummer sehen wollen, bevor man sich anmelden kann — und innerhalb der Familie erreicht man sich damit direkt, ohne Umweg über Internetdienste. Gute Reise!

Réseau téléphonique de très mauvaise qualité en Tanzanie. Ne pas prendre de e-sim est un conseil !!
Les E-sim ne fonctionnent pas en général sur place soit dans les parcs animaliers, le volcan Kilimandjaro et très peu sur Zanzibar

One thing makes it much easier and a lot of people miss it: the email contains a direct installation link, not just the QR code. Tapping that link on the phone itself installs the Simbye eSIM without scanning anything and without needing a second screen. The QR code is only there for people who prefer it. If it gives you trouble next time, write to support@simbye.com and we'll walk through it with you.

The eSIM did not work at all
The eSIM did not work at all. I was unable to receive any text messages, including verification codes from my US bank. I couldn't use the service in any meaningful way from the start. I requested a refund, and they told me $0 would be refunded. Ridiculous! Customer service is horrible. Just stay away from Simbye...

Dziękujemy, Andrzej! Simbye obejmuje ponad 190 krajów, więc przy kolejnym wyjeździe nie trzeba szukać nowego dostawcy — ta sama aplikacja, ta sama eSIM. A jeśli trasa obejmuje kilka krajów naraz, w aplikacji Simbye możesz złożyć własną eSIM i sam wybrać, które kraje mają być objęte. Udanej podróży!

Great service
Great service, but a bit pricier than a physical SIM, which you can snag in Spain for 10 Euros with 90GB of data. I used this esim in Poland, Netherlands and Spain.
