Scottish Kilt Arvostelua 

My order was for the graphite grey Tweed Argyll Day Kilt Outfit. The order came in time but the Colour of the Teed Jacket is wrong, I asked for the light grey and they sent the dark version.

There is no Brown Brogues in the package.

All the clothes are way too big, and the clothes quality is average. With threads hanging out of the seams.

I sent the exact same measurements to kilt4less.co.uk and their clothes are of superior quality and fit perfectly.

I contacted them by email as there is no phone number and i asked for a refund as I would not have my clothes in time for my wedding.

They asked me to send photos and a video of me measuring the clothes, which I did. I have had no response in 4 weeks since.

Do not buy from this Pakistan company.

Will burn my order when it arrives. I mis-ordered and tried to cancel the order within an hour of placing it.
I received an email more than 24 hours later saying too late - already made. I call BS. You apparently need my money more than I do. You’re def not a Scottish company - Scots have more integrity.

After reading the reviews, I got really nervous.
It was only 3 weeks since I ordered, but I contacted the company anyways.
They responded right away, stating my kilt was shipped and they had the tracking number for me the next day. Kilt arrived 3 days later (today) and it is AWESOME.
I will be ordering from them again in the near future.

I wish I would have found this site before placing my order. I placed an order for an expedited processing and shipping of ladies trousers. As soon as it was placed, my credit card was immediately charged and they also informed me the tartan was not available. As it was a gift, I kept in touch with them for about 8-days wanting to know if this could be made in time, or if I needed to cancel. After no confirmation the item would be available, I asked to cancel. It was then they informed me it was now available and I would incur a custom order charge for cancelling. I still told them to cancel with a dispute of the custom charge, and they shipped the item to me anyway. They allow no returns. I had a similar experience to others here, the item has a heavy solvent/industrial smell to the fabric and it does not fit. I'm now stuck with no ability to return. One other note, I did ask them for help choosing alternative fabrics, and had no response to that inquiry. Lesson learned. Be very careful with on-line retailers.

Very strong smell of urine on the ordre I received and costumer service offered apologies no more.

Measurement were accurately taken on the side of the body, but when worn, it is a mini skirt because of the belly. I paid an extra because it was a plus size order and all the offered to buy more of their products no one knows how to measure on fat people.

I recently ordered a jacket & vest fro Scottish Attire. When it arrived there were some mistakes, some mine in the measurements, some theirs. A bit disappointed, I called. After a very pleasant experience on the phone a reshipment was required. Because of this it was suggested a slightly different jacket could also be done. The suggested substitute arrived in a very reasonable amount of time. I am very pleased with both the fit and the quality of service I received.

Shockingly bad quality and customer service. Absolute ripoff. Shop elsewhere.

I have very mixed thoughts on this shop. I placed a total of 3 orders. The first 2 were very good. I got exactly what I ordered in about 4 weeks. My 3rd order was placed on Jan 19,2024 at the 4 week mark I contacted them about my order as a follow up. 2 ladies skirts were ready and 2 were not. They agreed to a partial shipment of the 2 completed items with the other 2 to follow soon after. The partial order arrived 1 skirt was not wearable. Completely unsatisfactory workmanship. I contacted them they said they would replace it when they completed the remaining items. Was told to expect in a couple of more weeks but no specific date as they were in weaving. Ok it is now May 3rd 2024 and still no products. They made a pre shipment label back in the middle of April. Still waiting and am never ordering from here again. Ridiculous.
To top it off they want me to remove my complaints with BBB and PAYPAL and then they will refund my my money! Now if I could give less that 1 star I would.

After considerable problems from the outset, I agreed to continue with my order for a Scottish Military Doublet. I received the Doublet wrapped in a paper bag and it looked as though it had been rolled up before shipping.

The doublet did not contain the silver/chrome buttons I requested and the collar was tight. I contacted the supplier about the buttons and was told that their staff felt the buttons they used was a better match. I informed the writer that I am not paying his people to offer an opinion, but to simply provide what I ordered. Although the supplier provided a photo of the garment before shipping, you could not tell that the buttons were not chrome.

Since then I have been forced to acquire replacement buttons at my expense and look for a tailor to remove the inner lining to replace the existing buttons. This company should not be in business

pour un costume kilt traditionnel commandé (option prioritaire) en février avec le tartan red modern Morrison. reçu mi mars.
Au déballage, le costume n'est pas emballé, il est compacté dans un carton, résultat, gros boulot de repassage en vu.
Au touché, la qualité du tissu utilisé pour la veste et le gilet n'est pas au rendez-vous, le grammage est fin, très fin.
Visuellement, le pire, le tartan n'a pas le bon vert...
Alors serte, j'ai payé l'ensemble du costume un peu moins cher qu'un kilt seul écossais sur mesure (600$), confectionné en France ou en Ecosse, mais ce que j'ai reçu ne vaut pas la moitié du prix vendu, surtout vu le cout de main d'œuvre pakistanaise.

Commande passée début décembre. Dix jours plus tard, on m'annonce que le tartan n'est pas dispo et m'avertit d'un délai, à moins de changer de tartan. Ayant fait toute les mesures et longuement muri mon choix, je réponds que je ne souhaite pas changer, tant pis s'il n'arrive pas pour Noël. En janvier, sans nouvelle de leur part, je les relance. Je finis par recevoir un kilt : ce n'est pas le mien, mais celui d'une autre personne ! Ils s'excusent, puis plus de nouvelles. En février, je les mets en demeure d'honorer la commande ou de me rembourser. Je suis finalement remboursé. Bref, énormément de temps perdu, de galère, et de frustration ! Le suivi des commandes est lamentable. A fuir !

Worth the price & wait. Ordered in early Aug & received in mid Jan, following year. Be patient because it’s worth every penny & thread. Give them time to communicate also. They responded timely & were trying. They are good on their word.

I ordered several kilts from Scottish Kilt Shop and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I found out when DHL sent a shipping notification that the kilts were manufactured in Pakistan, despite the company's sneaky claims about their Scottish origins. The minute I found out, I demanded a refund as every kilt I have unintentionally purchased from Pakistan have gone into the garbage. Trust a warning from an experienced buyer here and don't bother!
Upon receiving the kilts, I immediately noticed a strong chemical smell, which was concerning. My eyes burned it was so bad.

Furthermore, each kilt fit differently, one fit correctly, the other dead tight and the other way too loose.

The designs were not as functional as advertised. The inner apron was ridiculously small, barely providing adequate coverage and causing discomfort while walking. Additionally, the front apron seemed smaller than a children's kilt, leading to the unsightly appearance of pleats popping out and not falling back in as I walked, resembling a tutu more than a traditional kilt. The misalignment of the buckles only added to the dissatisfaction, forcing the front of the kilt to sit crooked.

To make matters worse, the "Stone Washed Kilt" lacked an apron altogether, instead featuring two front pockets and resembling a frumpy ladies skirt. I found this to be incredibly disappointing and not reflective of the quality I expected.

Despite reaching out to the company and expressing my concerns and thourough feedback, I've been ignored regarding a refund. This lack of response is disheartening, especially after the company touted their supposedly iron-clad guarantee.

I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others considering purchasing from the Scottish Kilt Shop. The discrepancies between the advertised product and the actual items received left me deeply dissatisfied, and I urge potential customers to approach their purchases with caution.

I could go further into the shear lack of constructive replies from "support" but you should get my drift by now. Buy your kilt elsewhere, there's far better vendors.

Moments after writing this, I received acknowledgement that they will refund me if I ship back the kilts to some weird address in Virginia. They claim on their site to be in Brooklyn.

The policy was a selling feature! It clearly states if you don't love it, take a video burning the product and they will refund you.

Furthermore, they do not supply a return shipping label, so I am made to pay out of pocket to ship back. This after paying brokerage for product coming from Pakistan.
I doubt I will see a refund from these people. My package is probably going to get "lost".

If they do refund me, who's going to be the next sucker they resell these too and flip another couple bucks?

I ordered two items from Scottish Kilt. I received one of the items (6 weeks later) and a packing slip listing the second item (which I was counting on for a special event.) I contacted the company and was told the second item was "out of stock." They claimed they had informed me of the out of stock but I found no emails from them on the date they claimed to have sent the information. They refunded me the price of the item BUT NOT THE SHIPPING COSTS I PAID. I will NEVER buy anything from these people again.

1 J’ai commandé mon premier kilt en juin 2023. Kilt 5 verges personnalisé. Au bout d’une semaine on m’a prévenu que le tartan n’était pas disponible. J’en ai choisi un autre, le kilt est arrivé 3 semaines après. Excellente qualité (bien que ma personnalisation n’est pas été prise en compte visiblement).
2 Pour le second kilt (noir, 9 verges, personnalisé), j’ai du les relancer au bout d’un mois car ma commande était toujours « non traitée » (mais bien payée !) et par miracle j’ai recu l’avis d’expedition le lendemain. J’ai reçu le kilt quelques jours après, bizarrement il est identique au kilt 5 verges et n’est pas personnalisé. Au moins la couleur est bonne.
3 (je persiste !) le 3 sept je commande un kilt 9 verges, personnalisé, payé. Le 29 je relance car aucune nouvelles. On me dit que le tartan n’est pas disponible ! Je patiente. Le 6 octobre je reçois un avis d’expédition avec un numéro de suivi qui n’existe pas ! Aujourd’hui le 17 octobre je n’ai toujours pas de nouvelles de ma commande.
D’une manière générale leurs kilts sont très beaux, bien fait et tres bon marché. Mais les personnalisations ne sont pas prises en compte et mon coeur hésite entre le mauvais travail ou l’arnaque pure et simple. On m’avait conseillé ce site (d’où ma persévérance) mais je crois que j’ai compris cette fois.

Ordered a custom kilt from this company in a specialty tartan for a wedding 6 weeks out with a rush order (paid rush order).

Immediately began getting the run around, "we don't have that in stock" we can make you a different kilt. We can't make the kilt in time (yet they took the money anyway and claimed they could once the $$ cleared).

Kilt arrived 2 weeks too late, from Pakistan in a plastic bag.

Every measurement I provided to the company kilt was wrong. The kilt arrived with 1.5 foot lengths of string hanging off the bottom, was incorrectly sewn, and was unraveling all over the place.

I contacted the company and they immediately demanded pictures. I sent them and they couldn't argue how bad it was, instead they claimed they would remake me the correct size/measurements I'd previously sent (this was early july). Company claimed it would be delivered in 2-3 weeks.

It is now October. I reached out to them two weeks ago and was told "We sent your custom made kilt to a random customer months ago. We have only now reached out to him to notify HIM of the mis-delivery (remember, this was delivered to random person late July - and nothing happened. Customer service never reached out, didn't ask if they resolved the issues, etc).

So as it stands now, I'm out some 400$ while this company is claiming they are going to recover the product from a random stranger (who has had it for 2 months) and redeliver it to me.

This company is being reported to the BBB and I've been in contact with some legal consultants - as the company appears to be fraudulently marketing and then not delivering products that have been paid for.

Please do your due diligence and do not order from them. You will be scammed and you will lose your money for an inferior product - that is fraudulently claimed to be crafted in the US but is sent from Pakistan or Bangladesh.

You will not receive a legit kilt or product if you custom order here.

I ordered a custom kilt 5 months before my wedding. 2 months before I started asking for updates. I was told “still in weaving” and “having problems getting threads” 2 weeks before I was told to “pick another” and we will ship out asap, but I still wanted the original kilt for a family event.

The 1st kilt arrived the MONDAY after the wedding. 10 days before the family wedding I was told they couldn’t do it. And wanted to refund only partial payment for the custom order.

IF I had not been strung along, I could have ordered from USA kilt, who actually delivers custom orders. But, instead, we received a generic kilt, a lot of stress finding replacements for the wedding. Don’t go here if you want a kilt. The one star is for the quality of the kilt we did receive
