Bought a inmotion air of Scooter Hut. Package is in transit.. asked for exchange due to the inmotion s1 being cheaper and having more range. They say "oh sorry our stores are shutting down we dont do exchanges or refunds"THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN I BOUGHT IT FROM THE WEBSITE RATHER IT WAS TWEAKED ON THEIR WEBSITE A FEW DAYS AFTER MY PURCHASE. You cant just treat consumers like this especially after you never had these so called rules on your webiste.
Awful service, not customer-minded
Purchased an eScooter through the Fairfield store - sales team were really nice.
I noticed initially that the rear tired was having difficulty keeping its pressure. I tried repumping it a few times as I'd only just bought the escooter. After a few rides, I thought it wasn't going to abate so I took it in to ask for them to repair or replace the tire as it had come to me in this form.
Dealing with Max, I was met with 'we deserve to get paid' (I responded by saying I deserved to have a scooter that worked given how much it cost). He also showed contempt for his fellow staff member, who was trying to assist. I later sent an email to complain about the service, and then called the next day asking to speak to a different member of staff. Turns out Max is the regional manager, he replied to my email without declaring I was in fact speaking to the same person. On the phone, it also turned out I was speaking to Max (who this time used his full name, Massimo). Max proceeded to make up that had I brought the scooter in sooner (at this stage, it was 16 days old, and again I didn't bring it in sooner because I wanted to see if the issue would resolve) then they would've replaced the tire for free. He then later admitted that the timeframe he asserted (48-72 hours post-purchase) was made up. I tried to make clear that this was arbitrary given time post-purchase doesn't change how much the scooter had been ridden.
Following on from this experience, I contacted their customer support team. They eventually honoured the refund of extended warranty and prepaid services, but with no resolution of my actual issue. I appreciate the efforts of the customer service team for at least offering something.
I wish I had read the reviews here first before purchasing through this company.
Scooter Hut Worst 3rd party provider I have ever dealt with across all products.
Dealing with Scooter Hut has been by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had across any product or service. I purchased an InMotion scooter which arrived faulty and broken straight out of the box. Instead of offering a refund, they insisted on repairing it. The repair took three months with zero communication throughout the entire process.
After I finally got the scooter back, it completely shut down again. Despite their tests claiming it was "fine," it broke a third time. Over the span of 8 months, I’ve only managed to ride it for 45 days. The scooter is currently back at their head office—still being repaired. Throughout this ordeal, they've consistently refused a refund and provided no proactive updates. I’ve had to chase them for answers every single week for eight months.
I'm now in the process of filing a claim with Consumer Affairs, reaching out to InMotion’s head office, and preparing a case for VCAT.
Scooter Hut’s response? They claim they can’t issue a refund because “nothing was wrong with it”—despite holding it for six months and ordering parts multiple times. And now, they’re just shipping it back to me.
Unbelievable.
They may sell quality products, but heaven help you if something goes wrong. Their customer service and issue resolution process are severely lacking and in desperate need of improvement.
Brought 2 InmotionS1 scooters 3 weeks…
Brought 2 InmotionS1 scooters 3 weeks ago. Last week they go on sale for $300 off. I contact the business online asking I don't think its fair that I paid $600 more for something a few weeks earlier. A week passed and they couldn't be bothered replying to me. Now the Inmotion S1 scooter has already started showing degradation. It squeaks on the back end suspension, the special star screw of one of the handle bar end caps with the indicator has fallen out leaving it flapping about, the plastic light strip below the base keeps sliding off. The rear electric motor makes a large wirring sound on use like its already giving up. That's after 4 weeks of use. Poor product quality and even worse customer service. Avoid Scooter Hut.
Do not do business with Scooter Hut
I purchased my INMOTION scooter from Scooter Hut Belconnen in October 2023. It received its 6-month service without issue. On 1/05/2025 my scooter lost power during use. Display still functioned but no power to rear wheel. When trying to book a service on 2/05/2025 I was informed that the Scooter Hut store in Canberra had closed with no plans to re-open. I was also advised that no general repairs could be booked in as they were too busy doing warranty repairs (why are so may scooters in need of warranty repairs??????). They advised me to go to another scooter supplier in Canberra for my repair and provided a name. This third party will not answer messages or phone calls!!! I asked whether Scooter Hut could ship my scooter to one of many other stores in Australia for repair. Not only was I told 'no' because it is a general repair, I was told if I could book it in I would have to pay $80 freight each way plus the cost of assessment and repair. So how can I get my scooter repaired??? I would like to know. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH SCOOTER HUT.
Misleading, Untrustyworthy, Dogiest experience EVER
my scooter began having error code and ectriccal issues i purchased tyres of scooter hut and replaced mine as well and been sold a scooter with no instructions or warranty infomation i belieive my kaboo wolf king gt was come with a warranty when i called them in regards to it not working they started hanging up and ignoring my calls now scooter hut has a phone system and they see who is calling them so aka if they see who is callling with an issue warranty they put your call on hold never ending or until the call just randomly cuts out as if they hung it up proved this by trying a couple times while being on hold for hours and i tryed on another number while on hold still and they took 30 seconds to answer and acted frazzled that they had been called out then they agreed to finally have my scooter picked up and for some reason being in newcastle nsw they got a courier to pick it up which they basically said that they take no liabilitie or response in to there own in house couriers they partner with so basically you are doomed from the start with there warrantys because at this point i still never seen any warranty conditions which is where what happen next they voided warranty and blamed me for the scooter being faulty as it started having intermitted electrical issues at night time and casue me to put me in darkness while in motion and braking last second at a flight of stairs i went front flipping down some stairs and hurt myself the scooter fell victim too some light scuff marks on the light anyway warranty voided and i then asked for a copy of warranty as there was literally no paper work with in the box when received or purchased they claim they 100 percent no there was but the person couldnt 100 percent tell me if they check the box before sent they are the rudest company ive ever interacted with and they literally get defenceive if you do not sumit to the VERY dodgy PRACTICES procedures ect when i proceded to call them to state my concerns and innocence they simply would speak over me and be rude and hang up on me and i would call back as i realise they are clearly ripping me and many others off clearly they direct you to links to other websitess in regards to warranty and they have a in house authories warranty claim dodger yet i still have no report or eveidence to back up to reason for warranty denial
also warranty denied for water ingress cause aparently the bottom side of the battery was flacking away like old house paint seems abit strange for plastic covering that seems intenionally thin on the underside and simply vibrations from using scooter and dodgy scooter it wear away and im not the only one thats gone throu this on this scooter anyway took me 6 months too get it back and literally they said there tech team have completed there diagnois which was simply a joke them trying to wipe there hands they never produced any diagnois at all becasue they have absoluely no idea about scooters also DO NOT TRUST THERE WEBSITE REVIEWS

I (Mary-Ann) booked a scooter trial at scooter Hut Brisbane City. Ari looked after me. He listened to my needs, and I tried out 2 scooters. His recommended scooter was actually cheaper (on sale) that the one I had been interested in and turned out to be my best option. HE also gave me riding advice. He put he scooter together, showed me how to use the lock and attached the lock holder to the scooter and showed me how to check my tyre pressure.

Poor communication and poor service
After walking into the store with my scooter, discussing the issue with the person behind the counter and then leaving the scooter there for the next available appointment (2 weeks away) I thought my minor issue of a repeatedly flat front tyre would be fixed and I’d be back on my scooter in no time.
Not to be. A call before 9am on the Saturday after, leaving a message informing me that they couldn’t fix my tyre as they don’t do any maintenance or service on scooters they don’t sell (this was a brand they sell but not a model) and asking me to call back. I tried calling only to get their answering service again and again.
Finally get through after 10.30 am. Say I will collect that day. Arrive at the store at 12.10pm to collect, roller door closed, small sign reads “Sorry for the inconvenience, back at 12.40pm.”
Lucky I didn’t take that time to heart as when we arrived at 1.50pm the roller door was still down, literally being rolled up as I parked.
Indifferent service, poor communication and a general feeling that they don’t want my business. All good, you’ll never get my business now. Hopefully others will read this and find a different place to buy their goods from and get their e scooters serviced too.

I bought an expensive Segway from Scooter hut, only to be told when a fault showed up within 3 weeks, that they don’t service Segway faults.
After Segway technicians fixed it, the scooter immediately when I got home faulted again, so they didn’t fix it.
I went back to Scooter Hut and was told, You are not going to like what I’m about to say. Well they were right.
Don’t buy from scooter hut buy amazon of temu at least you know your getting junk and poor service.
And I left a scathing review on Scooter Huts website but cant seem to find it.

Patronising, arrogant and never again
I'd give zero stars if I possibly could. I bought my S1 in to the Fairfield store regarding some battery performance concerns. The first few staff I spoke to were really helpful and booked it in for a service. They advised that it would be at best an all-day thing, perhaps overnight. Not ideal but ok.
I turned up this morning as per the appointment and Massimo (the manager, I believe) could not have been less helpful. I'll overlook his astonishingly patronising attitude and focus more on the fact that he then told me that the inspection was going to take place over a few weeks! I made it clear that his colleagues told me it was a day or overnight at worst and he basically told me I "must have misunderstood". I suggested that maybe his staff had misinformed me and he told me that was all but impossible. It went downhill from there.
The best bit was when he told me that battery performance dropping off as the battery drains "just makes logistical sense". I think you might mean "electrical" Massimo.
I will not be going back there under any circumstances.

The worst company ever
I’d purchased a couple of Segway ninebots from JB and they had different issues, so eventually I decided to spend over 2000 on a “good” scooter and got the Apollo city. 4 months in it completely died on me on a hill, wouldn’t turn on wouldn’t charge, so I took it back to Scooterhut Fairfield. They had my scooter for 10 weeks and when I called I was told different things from different people, then finally I went in and visited the store and miraculously two days later my scooter was fixed. At this point I have completely lost faith in scooter hut as a trustworthy company, I feel like they have lied to me and done the bare minimum, they wouldn’t give me any extra guarantees or come to any sort of agreement, Massimo was really rude and unhelpful and stubborn, just dig deeper in reviews for this company before using, they totally make fake reviews on google and really do not care about the customer, just the money they take off you for a terrible product at high end rates.

Worst experience ever - avoid at all costs!
I bought a Kaabo Wolf Warrior X + in September 2024 from Scooter Hut in Balcatta. In December, the front wheel motor stopped working and I booked the scooter in for a warranty repair - pretty straight forward. While I waited over Christmas to drop it in, I checked the scooter out and realised that a cable was getting pinched between the board and the forks of the scooter and that the cable was damaged from rubbing on the metal on both sides. The damage had caused the front motor to stop working.
I dropped the scooter into the Balcatta store and the day after received a text message from Scooter Hut saying there was a quote waiting for approval. I opened the quote which was itemised and contained a new front motor and cables. It also, however, contained two line items relating to warranty and said that warranty had been declined.
I rang the store and spoke to Maurizio or something like that, who I later found out is the area manager who is based in Victoria but was in Perth for a visit. I was told that it was this person who instructed the store to refuse the warranty. This person told me it was my fault, because I “must have been turning too much” when going around corners. Either that or the cable had been damaged when the scooter folded up. I said that it was the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard in my life - how can anyone claim that you can turn too much? What am I supposed to do; go straight and carry the scooter around the corner? The cable is not even near where the scooter folds so it’s not that either.
So here I have a $3000 scooter that is dangerous to use and that is just sitting in my garage. I have complained to the Department of Consumer Protection in WA, and also the ACCC who are interested because it’s a safety hazard. I also commented on the Scooter Hut facebook page and got the usual response to contact them via email and stop complaining in public.
This chain has no integrity and are scammers and rip off merchants. I know they’ll respond and say that they’re so sorry that I’ve had a bad experience and that they’ll look into it if I just emails them. I’m done with that. I don’t expect Consumer Protection to do anything, so have already prepared the paperwork to make the claim in the Magistrates Court for a complete refund as the scooter has a major fault under Australian Consumer Law.
Look at all the other reviews here and avoid these people at all costs. Hopefully they’ll go out of business and be replaced by honest traders.

I bought at Apollo Air. It malfunctioned three times within a year. The next service booking is always a one month wait just to get it looked at. So, without it for 4 months out of 12. Very frustrating will never buy another scooter from Scooter Hut. Their after sales service is a joke. They think it is fine to have you without a scooter for a month after booking it in for a service under the warranty.

Ordered an electric scooter worth 3k from Scooter Hut online then waited 3 days for my shipping information to be emailed, I never got my shipping information, I called customer service and was told the scooter was still at the warehouse and should be picked up by the company delivering it that afternoon or the next day, I waited 2 days without any update and called them again this time customer service said they will call the warehouse and get back to me, The next day at around 3pm I received an email saying a refund had been processed because they didn't have stock of that scooter so now I'm waiting up to 7 business days for the refund to clear, What a waste of time....I will be taking my money elsewhere. 0/5 stars

Not deserving of a 1* rating at this point. Purchased a kids electric scooter for Christmas. Charged it and the following day it has already broken down!! Took it to Fairfield and the "Retail Store Manager" denied anything was wrong with it. He stood on it, drove it around the store and I'm pretty certain he weighs more than 60kg! He told me it could hold 90kg and I had to correct him because that was a lie! Sent me home with my scooter and told me I could call customer service if anything was wrong with it. Got home, and the motor did not work!!! 2 hours driving time wasted. I don't want their generic "we will look into it" response. I want my money back. A child should not have to wait for days on end for their brand new scooter to be repaired. Obviously these products are poor quality if they break down that quickly. Not helpful, and certainly not upholding their 90 day returns policy and breaching advertising standards?! After going on their chat service and getting 2 or 3 different chat bots responding they just told me to go back to the store! But the store Manager told me to go online. This place is nothing but a scam business and needs to be reported.

Stay away from them.. great service pre-sale and post sale, shocking. I initially contacted the Balcatta store seeking assistance with a warranty claim related to my scooter, as I have been experiencing several mechanical issues that I believe are due to a manufacturing defect. However, instead of receiving a clear explanation, I have been met with constant finger-pointing, a lack of communication, and inadequate service. Key points: Lack of transparancy and communication, failure to provide clear diagnosis and resolution, failure to handle warranty claim, failure to communicate directly with technician and more. To this day, I still do not have my scooter back. I had to go into the store and diagnose the issue which they completly failed to do so and there was no communication, All i rec'd was a work order to replace the back wheel/motor with no explanation. Stay clear of this company. Go to a small local store that will service you well. Wait times for even getting your scooter serviced is 6 weeks. They do not have the capacity. Biggest regret I have. If they would return me my money, I would take it and go elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY FROM SCOOTER HUT - purchased a scooter 8 months ago, battery died and took it back and they said it was my fault after only 2 weeks use. Told them it was not my fault and it was under warranty and to fix it. Well it took 8 months to get fixed, every time I called I got someone would call but never did. Ask for a replacement while it was being fixed and they denied it so I had to pay for public transport. Finally called on Friday to ask where it was and was informed it was ready to be picked up - really. I have made a formal complaint as I will take this further for compensation. Awful customer service and the product is not worth buying.
