Scanlans Arvostelua 

Scanlans, or Scamlans as the people on our newly built estate commonly refer to them as due to no communication and no evidence of any work ever having occurred on the small strip of disused land that they are supposedly managing. The only communication we receive is a demand for payment, with many emails having been blatantly ignored asking for evidence of works actually been completed. The only communication that anyone has ever had is a site plan outlining which bit of small land they are meant to be maintaining, no evidence that anyone has actually maintained it. The communication from our side has been attempted for the past 3.5 years, no valid form of communication has been received other than demands for payment.

Many thanks to Chloe. She’s a gem and has helped us with everything for the 21 years we’ve lived at our property. Chloe has helped whether it’s her responsibility or not. She really does go above and beyond to help.

A special thanks to Louise, who supported us quickly and efficiently whenever we needed help, especially with the management pack and legal documentation. Her communication was clear, fast and extremely helpful during an important stage for us.

We have been living in the estate for 5 years, and the property management services have always been excellent. The estate is well looked after - the lawns are maintained regularly, and any required management tasks have been handled promptly and professionally.

We also really appreciate the annual reports they send out - transparent, detailed, and easy to understand.

Overall, a very reliable and well-organised management company.

Do not ever use ths company for a survayor. They maybe Rics reg. But they have a conflict of interest charge the earth for a dreadful service. They were used in a disrepair repair report. Refused to go into the loft were all the black mould was and a roof leak. Damp at the back door refused to use a famp metre on the floor or around blown skirting boards,rat damge due to having rat nfestston refused to report on this . Issue with would lice, stated not active even though they were all over the house and he saw them crawling around. Black mould on door frames ingnored wster staining o ceiling ignored they he changed his mind and finally got his damp reader out. Whole place cover in thick brown residue in kitchen sockets and ingnored then took a picure of one socket with nothing in it. Stated they had taken photogrpahs when infact they did not. Ignored a previous rics report. Ignored a lab report and said just computor print out. Rude, aregant. Made a compaint Rics. That was a waste of time too. Any solicitor looking at this aviod them. I sat on this for a while as i did not want to post due to anger. This tiok place October 2024.

They love to ask for money and implement charge increases way above inflation and then have the cheek to say it’s “primarily inflation”.

Quick enough to ask for money but the service is awful. Slow/no replies, and they tell you important administrative by LETTER at the last minute to try and make you miss your bill deadline.

Their portal isn’t even secure yet they keep pointing you to it - not accessible. For the fortune we pay, we should be able to expect secure transactions.

8.3% increase this year for a DECLINE in service quality.

Faceless corporate money grabbing.

Poor service, take ages to get back to you. Quick to take and demand money but they sort absolutely nothing, don’t buy anything these lot run estates for

Scanlans have not been helpful at all for me, when standards of apartment block I live in are raised I’m told I will get a response tomorrow but it’s always a week later and then it seems to be excuse after excuse and nothing resolved, from listening how other property management companies respond and help their residents I would not recommend scanlans…

Would give no stars if possible, my 70 year old boss has been up a ladder in this weather to try to stop the rain from pouring into our shop, due to poor maintenance, poor communication, and even poorer outcomes. It’s tantamount to fraud the money they charge and what they do to earn it.

Awful company. Lacking any customer service, compassion or professionalism. They wouldn't help expedite a management pack required to sell my house even though there were only a few days to completion, then when it did come through late it was wrong and my completion date was missed by more than a week. Terrible company and I will never buy a house again that has this company managing any aspect of it.

Should be called scamlans! Worst property management ever dealt with. Awful timescale to attend to any issues. Act totally oblivious when calling about same issue. 10 years in dealing with this company not a single request carried out in timely manner. Last year heaters weren't working in communal area for 4 months throughout winter then to be told service charge has gone up die to electricity usage .. how when the heter that we are charged for didn't work. Also cleaners didn't turn up for 6 months to clean communal area yet we were still charged for their services.

Our representative responds to requests promptly.

The property she valued one of best street in wolverhampton the rental income £25k she valued the 3 floor property in busy high street area only £175k how she full with lack of knowledge

Same shop valued by Barclay with experience surveyor £275k with full valuation

My suggestion to scanners please take serious action against on her other wise refund my money

And my message to Laura Jackson please do other job don’t ruin people money because commercial valuation is not a cheap deal

Our property was taken over by Scanlans and Nicola has been nothing but helpful. Providing prompt answers to queries and good above and beyond to sort things to make life easier. It’s been a pleasure talking to her and she has made every effort to explain and provide answers.

Justine Greeson took over from Chloe Kennedy looking after our building in Cheshire. Justine is just as effective as Chloe was, very quick to follow up on enquires, lovely positive manner on the phone and very knowledgeable in property management matters. She has been extremely helpful to me s a leaseholder and is a great ambassador for Scanlans PM

To say this lot are useless would be an understatement.
To say this lot lie and come up with pathetic excuses would be an understatement.

If I was running a business and getting negative reviews I’d be mortified and would do everything in my power to rectify the issues, the fact Scanlans never reply to reviews on here proves how little they care.

If anyone is thinking of using these for property
management I suggest you look elsewhere.

Next stop social media, mainstream media, the ombudsman and if necessary a solicitor.

Unresponsive and overpriced. The state of the complex is shoddy and slowly becoming more so. After repeated requests to improve the overall appearance nothing has been done. Requests are not even acknowledged. They are just ignored. Service is poor.

Susana Romao is the third property manager at this property since is was built and she is the best we have had in seven years. She listened and quickly responded to our issues and has given us good advice and recommendations for the repairs that have been done. Always helpful and very approachable.

This review refers to Susana Romao who has been our point of contact for several years. Our experience in dealing with her has been excellent - her knowledge, advice and professionalism has been instrumental in guiding us through some difficult issues regarding the property and she continues to offer sound and helpful advice in all areas. We are very grateful for her services.

Susana Romao has been the point of contact at my Apartment development complex for in excess of four years, and has always been very professional, helpful and responsive to any of the day to day 'problems' that may occur in a development consisting of fourteen apartments across two buildings.

I have found her to be very capable of efficiently dealing with all the various matters that arise from time to time, ready to explain any concerns of the Leaseholders or tenants, acting on behalf of both these groups to explain all matters related to the development, such as Repairs and Service Charge queries, as well as quickly responding to telephone enquiries on which the residents or Development Management Company may seek advice or clarification on, from time to time.
Susana is a credit to 'Scanlans' and a welcome point of contact for all the residents. Well Done!!

Nightmare management company.
Trying to get a deed of variation signed off so we can sell our property has become a joke.
First a manager Chloe Kennedy told our solicitor the fee for getting all paid, no sign of the deed. Every time I called spoke to someone different who gave a different answer. Spoke to another manager Toni Rodgers who got very shouty and told us our solicitor had to draft the deed up for them to sign. When our solicitor challenged her on this that it was never communicated as that she slammed phone down. How professional !!. 1 week later after paying still not signed. Now in danger of losing house sale. Thank you Scanlans, you cowboys.
