What Is Scanguin? Scanguin is the PDF scanner that understands your documents without ever seeing them. Scan, sign, and convert PDFs on your iPhone — with Pip, your scan co-pilot — and keep every document in the app’s private storage on your device. Nothing gets uploaded to our servers. What Scanguin Offers? Ten features only the Scanguin app does, and Pip walks you through every one on a ready-made sample document before you scan a single page. Smart Redact finds IBANs, card numbers, emails, and phone numbers, then burns black bars into a copy. Your original stays untouched. Doc Brief summarizes a document and answers your questions, quoting the exact lines it used — processed on your iPhone, never uploaded. Deadline Radar spots due dates in your paperwork and reminds you before they pass. Expense Ledger reads merchant, total, and category from receipts and charts your month. Beyond that, Scan Coach checks every capture for blur, darkness, and tilt. Paper → Checklist turns a written list into ticks you can check off. Card → Contact reads a business card straight into your Contacts. Deep Search finds words inside every page, not just file names. Read Aloud reads any page out loud and highlights each word. Face ID Vault keeps private documents hidden from search and Home. Private by Design: Every feature works without an account. The optional account holds your email and purchases — never your documents. Text recognition, Smart Redact, and Doc Brief all run on your device, not on our servers, so we never see your papers. Browse Scanguin reviews from people who’ve tried it and see what privacy-first scanning feels like in practice.

I am 74 years old and I usually get confused when my grandchildren tell me to download applications because they ask for passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards. This application did not ask me for any of that. It opened straight up to the camera. I took a picture of my insurance renewal and it told me right away when the payment was due. Very polite and quiet app without any advertisements screaming at me.
