I have had several coats for my standard dachshund, both off the shelf and bespoke, and all have disappointed in one way or another, usually through design being poorly thought through. I need a waterproof coat for days out as I walk my dog to the station to catch the train. Not only does the coat need to keep her dry but it needs to dry out quickly as it's no good having to carry a wet coat around all day. It also needs to pack away so not be too bulky. I bought the Dach-A-Mac and it has now been used on several occasions in some pretty severe wet and windy weather and I am delighted with it. It packs away in its own bag to next to nothing. It covers all the back, chest, sides and underneath and really does keep her dry for the 45 minute walk. I did give it an extra spray with some waterproofer when I received it. Being a thin rain mac it then dries out quickly.

The big pluses for me are firstly that this is well designed and thought through, probably road tested and modified to get it just right; secondly the materials are good quality and well constructed. And for all that I thought the price was excellent.

Compelled to write a review after my second sausage dog box purchase arrived today. I never write reviews for anything but when the houndstooth coat arrived for my little dog today I was completely blown away! It has to be the most gorgeous, well crafted dog coat I’ve ever seen or felt. I put my dog in it and was so excited to get her out for a walk! It’s just stunning. Please bring the pink houndstooth out again so I can buy that one too! We love the fleece we’ve previously ordered too and shipping time was great, thank you

I recently purchased a surgical suit for my pup and the product was useless. Not only was it incredibly difficult to put on it is now not fit for purpose as my dog needed to toilet doing so in the suit, this resulted in my having to cut the suit off her. The whole experience only added to what was an already stressful time for my poor pup post surgery. Sausage Dog have stated the suit can be adapted for when a dog needs toileting but this is impossible to determine especially when the pup is so woozy post surgery. Sausage Dog Box have been less than sympathetic when approached for a refund and I would strongly recommend not using this suit or the company, especially when experiencing such a stressful time when your pet is unwell.

I have a refined ‘chiweenie’ (1/2 miniature dachshund/1/2 chihuahua) and have bought THREE waterproof harness fleeces . . ALL ARE BEAUTIFUL COLOURS, EXCELLENT QUALITY and VERYVWELL MADE. No need to fit a bulky harness underneath.
When walking, Ozzy gets complimented by EVERYONE - he looks sooo smart.
I’m so pleased I spent more on these purchases, as ‘you get what you pay for.’

Customer service was great how ever the anti rib Dachshund harness has done completely the opposite and made my sausage sore. So disappointing for £40! Now we’re on a slip lead for the foreseeable whilst he heals and his hair grows back.

Great communication when wrong harness was sent. Issued a delivery refund straight away and offered to swap. We decided to just keep the one sent as was happy with the delivery refund.

We’ve had the new Saucy Sausage harness and matching accessories, the quality is amazing and the harness is longer in the body to fit a dachshunds chest.

After measuring my dachshund I ordered a large size in 3 jumpers, 2 knitted and one fleece, they all came with a large size sticker on them but are all different sizes 😪 1 fits perfect, one is slightly too tight and one is so big it fits my sons harrier hound. Slightly disappointed and confused with drastic size difference.
