The financial wellbeing services have given me great support and advice on how they can help,I am sooo glad I turned to them,I wasn't in a very good position in life,I turned to them in January this year,and today I got the best phone call ever telling me what we had applied for qas granted,qas months of worry no sleep not eating,as well as losing my father 3 months ago,there is light at the end of the tunnel,believe me,and all this is down to an absolutely lovely lady in the financial well being team who helped and got me through this..you know who you are,you were my guiding light,I never thought I would get out of the situation I was in..

My daughter and granddaughter live in a first floor flat rented through Sage Housing Association. The security door to the flats has been broken for months. My daughter has complained numerous times to no avail. Last weekend an intruder got into the block via the broken security door at 12 am and banged and kicked on every door in the block. They were screaming and swearing through the doors when no one would answer them. My daughter wrote a complaint that night after the Police came out to Sages complaints department. I also spoke on her behalf to someone called Jacinta via live chat, who promised me she had raised an urgent repair and the door would be fixed that day. 3 days later and the door still isn't fixed and no one replies to emails or complaint forms. Anyone can get into the block, anytime of the day or night and the residents wouldn't know who was waiting on the landings for them.
Sage have a duty of care to their residents and they are failing big time.

Melanie Hart was a godsend. I was in a lot of trouble and she walked me through every step. I really was falling apart and had no idea she could help me as much as she did. Louise has always been really helpful and assisted me in anyway she can. She even went outside of her department at one point to get me to the right people to help.

Nimet Karia was an absolute standout during the process of moving into my new home. His professionalism and reliability made a real difference from the moment he got involved. Although I had ongoing concerns with the handover and had unfortunately experienced some poor communication from a few other members of staff, Nimet quickly turned things around.

He managed the process impeccably. He always called me back when he said he would, kept me updated regularly, and answered all of my questions clearly and patiently. He also provided the key contact details I needed for aftercare and took the time to explain the tenancy agreement and how to access it.

Nimet was consistently polite, helpful, and reassuring throughout. His involvement brought much-needed clarity and confidence to what had become a stressful situation, and I’m genuinely grateful for his support in helping me settle into my new home smoothly.

I don’t have a bad experience to write about but they give you a £300 decorating voucher to be used at b&q it’s for £300 which ii thought wow that’s really helpful and kind until I tried to use it and found out it was restricted to paint or wallpaper only and brushes. Why not allow blinds? Lighting? Etc since when we move in we have to find a cooker a fridge a washing machine and rent and furnish a house. Those things would be so much more helpful! Who spends £300 on paint!

I live in a block of flats and a year ago I asked permission to have a mobility scooter and keep it under the stairs. Well now I can't and I pay a service charge. The block is a mess and the gates to carpark have not worked in years. Its not secure outside due to the gates not being able to close. Dog poo out bk and fag buts at front of building. They r happy to take the money but won't sort out the broken things. U wouldn't park ur car and leave it unlocked as insurance won't touch it if it got stolen but I have to leave my scooter in a unsafe place. As I can't do that as I hire it, I'm going to have to give my scooter up and be housebound. Plus there is a car parked in my spot who don't even live here. The woman called me a lier over the phone as ahe said they wouldn't of given permission, told her to go back a year and listen to the phone conversation. I suffer from severe mental health and giving my scooter up and being housebound isn't going to help. Sage don't care at all, just as long as they make money off people and not maintain there building and grounds.

My experience so far has been great, Jacquline has not only been helpful and informative before and during my assessment process but been supportive and congratulating when giving me the news I’d been successful in my application.. she has been an absolute superstar, hopefully this good service will continue .

Would give 0 stars if I could. Moved into our home in October 2024 where SAGE had not bothered doing the end of Defect survey with the builders, bearing in mind we've had a massive list of all sorts of defects and faults. Huge issue being the garden which was left looking like a swamp with dead turf and weeds, builders rubble. I've been fighting since the day we moved in and after having about 6 contractors out to quote for Sage, they're now saying they are only happy to reseed it rather than returf...the ground does not even come up to the bottom of the fence line so not even suitable for seed. I've been passed through I don't know how many people in complaints, one minute you think someone is understanding and helpful, the next you get rude and unhelpful messages because you say you're unhappy about the situation. I would just like a safe garden my children can enjoy, why is that such a big ask?! If they'd have raised it during their warranty period with the builders and had it sorted prior to us moving in then it wouldn't have been an issue. None of the defects and repairs have gone smoothly, they waste money on sending a contractor out twice a week rather than just the 1 to do multiple jobs because they can't communicate to the companies properly! Feeling very disappointed at the lack of service and care.

The service I received from Jacquline was amazing! She always answered my questions that I had. I really appreciate that she always emailed me on time. Every person who will recieve her service will be on good hands! Jacquline's service was 10/10!❤️

The Staff at Sage are very helpful but they are a golden needle in a haystack the size of a field.

Expect to be handed to someone who never responds to emails or suddenly goes on leave and absolutely nothing is communicated to you so you're left there chasing and chasing and chasing until someone new is assigned to you. But even then it's a lottery if that new person won't disappear too!

Sage needs to work on their communication. Internally and externally. It took me longer to get my shared ownership property because there was little to no communication with my mortgage advisor. She had to chase basically every day to then find out, after more than a month, that the person assigned had gone on leave the week before we were assigned to them. But once I was assigned two "golden people", things started happening and fast!

In conclusion, 5* to the "golden people", 5* to the staff I haven't been able to speak to but I'm sure they're helpful, 2* for the company's communication skills.
Expect to consistently chase them to get the information you need. (Just don't shoot your messenger because they're the nice people.)

Amazing from start. Been in allot of contact with Jaqueline regarding signing for property and if she wasn't available other people in the office were really helpful. Everything pretty straight forward and even a sing song down the phone to brighten my day. Can't wait to get the ball rolling get in and get settled. 😊 xx

Excellent communication, very fast and explained everything in great depth.

Initially Sage were great, up until you sign to buy a home, after such time radio silence . My long stop date came and went. Made several complaints and passed around various teams and still no response. All with a promise that they will contact you.
On moving in , they said they would clean my home and post my keys in the letter box, a week later and still no keys.The bin storage didn't have any bins and is now full and is attracting vermin and no collection booked. We have our special light show at night as the lights outside our window flicker all through the night, impacting my sleep. My kitchen light won't switch on without another light in the home being on. All in all, the amount you may, the attention to detail and final finish is poor.

I have worked closely with Louise Ward who is the community safety officer for sage, Throughout the entire process, Louise provided me with dedicated support and demonstrated genuine concern for my wellbeing. She sincerely understood my situation, which made me feel acknowledged and cared for by my housing association and herself, I have never encountered someone so passionate about their work; her commitment was truly uplifting and reassuring. I sincerely wish there were a more appropriate way to express my appreciation, as a review does not fully convey how much her help and support meant to me during this time and still now. Thankyou again :)
