Gordon went above and beyond, patiently sorting through countless boxes of bits and pieces — a mammoth task that he handled with grace and diligence. His attention to detail and genuine commitment made a world of difference.
As a seller, the terms were refreshingly fair: just 10% commission and no VAT — a rare and welcome surprise in today’s market. It made the whole process feel not only manageable but respectful of the emotional weight behind parting with treasured items.

We recently visited RWB Auctions in Royal Wootton Bassett to have some jewellery and other items valued, and we couldn’t have been more impressed.
Gordon, the auctioneer and valuer, provided exceptional service, friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. He carefully examined each item, gave clear, realistic estimates, and explained everything, including their 10% + VAT commission. There was absolutely no pressure to sell, just honest and reassuring advice.
He also put us completely at ease, even when we worried some items might have little value, saying he’d rather check properly for us to be sure. His calm, approachable manner made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable, and we even had a bit of friendly banter along the way!
We went with friends who had furniture, crockery, and model trains, and although we arrived as quite a group, everyone was dealt with efficiently and cheerfully. The whole team were welcoming, professional, and easy to talk to.
There’s also free parking at the back, which is really handy when carrying items in (you just need to register your number plate inside).
We’d highly recommend RWB Auctions and their free walk-in valuation service on Mondays and Tuesdays. A relaxed, friendly, and thoroughly professional experience from start to finish.

When I went to collect my goods although they were busy, I was immediately dealt with,
staff very pleasant and helpful would highly recommend them first class service

First time of dealing with RWB Auctions, and they couldn't have been more helpful with my enquiry prior to the auction, and with the subsequent shipping. I was successful with my bid, and they shipped it to me carefully packaged, arriving by DHL within a couple of days. RWB Auctions instantly went into my list of 'fav' auctions.

Delivery was extremely quick, very reasonably priced and the item well packaged.
Knowing this, I’ll certainly be sure to check out their future auctions.

This was my first auction with RWB. The whole experience was perfect, in particular the postage and packing. For a small auction house they turned around my item very quickly and I received it within 3 days if the auction. Some of the larger auction houses could do well to follow their example. Helpful staff enabled me to view item on morning of sale, and the on-site parking was very helpful. All-in-all, as good an experience as should be expected from a professional auction-house.

All good except for the complicated way to make payment for lots bought online. I am sure there is a less complicated way to settle up for purchases. I was impressed by the office staff and surroundings when I collected my lots. Far more impressive set up than another North Wiltshire auction house that gets far too much coverage on the BBC.

Refund received today of £98:70, for wrongful charges on my purchase, thank you for this & glad to know you have made changes so this does not re-ocurr, this mistake caused me a lot of grief, & unessary hardship.

Decided to make a purchase after receiving a flyer from a sister company.
First time using auction of which I was helped a little.
Informed RWB I would require postage & knew investment gold was vat free explained this to RWB, to be slapped with a customs charge of €112.97.
Daylight robbery, had little choice but to pay. They take no responsibility what so ever, as I know anpost will blame the sender.
Will never use again.

I’ve bought two items from RWB Auctions in the last 6 months and the services especially post sale has been exemplary. The front office team have gone above and beyond.

First time buyer from an RWB auction. I rang up beforehand regarding delivery and received friendly advice. The antique item I bought was extremely well packaged and arrived promptly. The packaging and delivery charges were reasonable too and the after sales treatment was miles better than some auctioneers. I would have no hesitation to bid again on a future auction.

Well informed from start to finish, was amazing to be able to watch the auction online at home, much easier than visiting as i would of been very nervous of doing something & ended up buying my own stuff back.

The staff are polite and exceedingly helpful, providing answers to questions within minutes. The location is accessible easily from the M4, should you need to collect, ample dedicated car parking and excellent modern facilities; rather rare in Auction Houses outside London. There’s even an inviting coffee shop in the building. The Buyers Premium is quite reasonable and RWB have kindly packed and posted lots upon request, when practicable. I wholeheartedly recommend RWB
