Booked my wedding at the royal liver building but then had to put the wedding back a year which they did for me. Paid a deposit of £2000 and when i was due to make a further payment months later i found that they had sold my date to somebody else. No apology just refusing to take my calls or telling me i had cancelled the date myself ..the continue to ignore my calls and emails and wont offer a refund so they have basicly taken my money and run...kiaro mako comes across as very arrogant and seems to have contempt for her customers.
So please if you are planning you big day avoid this company at all costs.

My comments relate to Relish, which organised and catered for my event at The Venue, Royal Liver Building, Liverpool. I held a private party there in July 2022. The physical space is beautiful – light and airy with a balcony overlooking the Mersey, but my event was a huge disappointment due to failures on Relish’s part.
To start with, the ‘Welcome’ drinks were not what I had ordered. Relish provided one drink I had stressed (in writing) that I did not want, and did not supply one drink they had (also in writing) agreed to provide. Moreover, the drinks that were supplied were not provided on trays held by Relish staff as guests entered, but were left on a table for guests to help themselves. This was not welcoming, and I served the drinks myself while also trying to greet guests.
The savoury canapés I had chosen (from lovely pictures on Relish’s website) were very disappointing: they were not appetising. The two serving staff disappeared after offering guests a few canapés and had to be called out to finish serving what I had paid for.
I had prepared a photoreel (on a memory stick) to be played continuously while guests ate canapes, emphasised to the Event Manager how important it was to the whole event, and took the precaution of testing it a couple of weeks beforehand, using Relish’s computer as they wanted me to do. There were two projectors available; one worked but the other did not, and I was assured the problem would be sorted out. Before the event-day Relish bought a new projector to replace the faulty one but did not test it with their computer, and then found on event-day that it did not work. Moreover, neither did the projector that had worked previously. Consequently my photoreel could not be shown at all. This, with the quality of the food, ¬was the biggest failure of the several we suffered that day. Relish promised that the tea and coffee ‘station’ at the end of proceedings would be ‘manned by Relish’. It was not. Relish serving-staff were absent. Tea and coffee were left on a table in an alcove for guests to serve themselves.
As well as guests from the local area there were guests who had travelled from quite some distance – including from Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland as well as more distant parts of England, and they had paid for an overnight stay in the city. I was embarrassed at what was provided for them and distressed that my event, intended as a tribute to a deceased family member, had been treated so carelessly by Relish. I complained, in writing, to Relish at Liverpool. After a few weeks the Event Manager telephoned to apologise for what had happened and to offer me a ‘free event’. I declined on the grounds that I had no reason to believe such an event would proceed more successfully that the one I had complained about. She then offered me a ‘free food tasting’ with a view to proceeding to holding a free event if I was satisfied with the tasting. I did not accept immediately and she said she would phone me in a week’s time to see if I had made up my mind, but she never made that phone call.
