I had a very positive experience with Hair In The Istanbul from the beginning through to the aftercare.

The whole process was well organised and professional and I felt looked after at every stage. Everything was explained clearly the procedure was handled properly and the follow up after the transplant has been very reassuring.

A special thank you to Evisa who has been looking after me during the aftercare period. She has been very attentive , responsive and professional . She always checking how I am recovering and making sure I have the right information at each stage.

Ist great was the Operation

It has been a month since my procedure. Here is how the process went from arrival to departure: After landing, I scanned my passport to get mobile internet access at the airport. I notified them via WhatsApp that I had arrived; then, at exit 13, someone met me and took me to the driver, who drove me to the hotel. I spent the day at the hotel. The theatment was at the next day, they took me to the clinic and i spend there to the midnight. My flight to home was on the next day, my head was washed in the morning, and I was then transported to the airport. A note regarding the post-procedure period: there was some spotting, so to avoid staining the hotel bedding, I used a towel under my neck pillow. I have to wait a few months for the hair to grow back. As for the procedure itself, intravenous anesthesia was used to help me stay calm, along with a significant amount of local anesthesia, making the entire process completely painless. Payment was made before the procedure; the total cost must be added expenses for hair growth products, intravenous anesthesia, and harvesting hair from areas other than the scalp to achieve a better result. All amenities, including meals, were provided. Communication continues via WhatsApp after the procedure, with instructions on the next steps for scalp care.

I had researched the topic beforehand and was aware that my case required more donor hair, and that relying solely on the back of the head carried risks.
Royal Hair Istanbul and Fiona offered the option of using additional donor areas. It is working well, and the healing process is proceeding as planned.
The trip to Istanbul, transport, hotel, the procedure, and aftercare—everything was well-planned, everything went smoothly, and it was a pleasant experience.

(Royal hair Istanbul) You are bothering me a lot, I had a hair transplant done on 15th May 2026, and I had paid 250 euros for oil, serum, multivitamins, shampoo on 22nd July 2026, but as of now it has not been dispatched from Turkey, I am getting very worried, I had to get my 2 friends hair transplanted, but I will find some other clinic and give it to them.

I'm only giving 2 stars for these reasons:

- The medical assistant Erida has been really caring since day one after my hair transplant, all the way up to now, 4 months later. She always answers my questions and is honestly very patient. Her service has been great.
- During the surgery, even though we started late because of some payment issue, the blonde woman who put in the follicles made sure to finish her job (the surgery finish at 8 PM, it lasted less than 7 hours).
- When I told the doctor and the translator I couldn't pay all the surprise extra costs, the translator (a Black woman) was patient with me and found ways to make the payment easier, so I didn't get charged extra card fees on top of an already big bill.
- The drivers showed up on time every time.

Besides from that:
Honestly, the day of the surgery was rough. Almost nobody speaks English except the translator, and of course she can't be there all the time since she also helps other patients at the clinic. So most of the time there was a communication problem between me and the staff.

We had agreed on a price of €1,350, but then they tried to charge me an extra €250 for taking follicles from my chest, €250 for my legs, and €250 for sedation (I did pay for that one since it's needed for the surgery). Add in card fees, and the total went up to about €2,500 — almost double what I had planned to spend. I know part of it was my fault for not bringing cash, but even so, I would've had to go to an ATM anyway since I didn't expect these extra costs before flying to Turkey. I think they should tell you about this stuff before you get there, so people can plan ahead instead of getting caught off guard.

When I said I couldn't pay all the extras (except sedation), the doctor just left and I never saw him again — like he got mad that I couldn't or wouldn't pay.

Overall it felt like money was all they cared about. At one point, right in the middle of the surgery, while I was in pain, the translator came to talk to me about money, no matter how I was feeling. Because I didn't pay all the extras, I felt uncomfortable for the rest of the surgery and the next day too (wash day), not knowing what they'd bring up next.

The next day they gave me a free soap and foam for after the surgery, but then tried to sell me a €250 kit with serums, vitamins, shampoo, and stuff like that. Since I couldn't pay for it, I just bought the vitamins for €45. In the end, they put in about 4,300 follicles.

Overall, my experience was bad. Clinics shouldn't put people through this. It's better to just be clear from the very first contact, so people don't have to deal with all these awkward and uncertain moments.

Cost breakdown:

DHI hair transplant: €1,350
Reservation: 100€
Sedation: €250
Extra for chest follicles: €250
Extra for leg follicles: €250
Total: €2,500 (including card payment fee)

In the end, I paid almost €1,700 (including the €45 for the vitamins), since they didn't end up taking extra follicles from my chest and legs.

A distanza di 8 mesi dal trapianto(DHI) e dalla mia prima recensione confermo che è andato tutto bene. Chi mi conosce e chi mi ha visto prima e dopo fa apprezzamenti sulla ricrescita dei capelli. A detta loro una buona ricrescita. Non so se ci sara' un ulteriore "infoltimento"Forse sotto questo aspetto(nell'avere i capelli molto piu' forti e folti) qualcosina di piu' mi aspettavo, ma credo(a detta anche del mio parrucchiere, giovane) averli come un 30 enne per un 50 enne no sarebbe possibile.mi ritengo soddisfatto, e riscrivo questa seconda e ultima recensione a beneficio di chi sta valutando di farsi un trapianto.Non ci sono solo le piu' famose e conosciute cliniche che a prezzi decisamente molto piu' alti fanno i trapianti, ma ci sono anche queste come la Royal hair Istanbul, forse meno conosciute ma altrettanto valide, e che sto consigliando anche a miei amici in fase di valutazione. Unica pecca "negativa" e che leggo che è un "vizietto" ,che potrebbero benissimo eliminare, perchè inutile e non serve nella valutazione della scelta, è quello di chiedere un ulteriore importo di 200 E circa per (nel mio caso) completare l'espianto di bulbi per coprire anche la chierica, perchè altrimenti sarebbe rimasta scoperta. Non sarebbero state certamente le 200 E a farmi cambiare scelta, ma è stata una cosa antipatica. Consiglio alla Royal di cambiare strategia, perchè non serve non dire niente e poi a tutti ma a proprio a tutti con motivazioni diverse chiedere ulteriori 200 E.Per il resto tutto bene anche nell'assistenza post trapianto e nelle richieste di ogni chiarmento richiesto pre-trapianto e nella fase di valutazione.CONSIGLIO

Used multi grafts at front of the hairline, tried to charge for extras when i was there, refused a translator when I wanted one, didn’t feel comfortable and they don’t reply to follow up questions

The reason they have good reviews is because they pressure you into writing a 5 star review on here and google reviews as soon as the procedure is over

Stay away and pay more for good service and results
