I’ve been working with Roots HR for almost two years, and their guidance and support have been invaluable, and I highly recommend Roots HR to anyone seeking expert HR solutions.

As a charity ourselves we were very pleased to see that there was a charitable company operating in this field, which is what first attracted us to using them. Whilst access to their general advice is good, we ended up enagaging them for some very detailed work and they were hugely professional, knowledgable and supportive. Would recommend whether you're a small or larger organisation.

Brilliant support, advice and guidance. Very prompt and supportive along the process.

We have used Roots for several years now and greatly value their expertise and advice. The team at Roots always respond quickly and professionally to our requests. They are highly knowledgeable, approachable and demonstrate a real understanding of small organisations' needs.

Tracey at Roots HR reviewed our policy deck, ensuring that we were compliant and up to date with recent law changes. Tracey was thorough and clear with communication and offered suggestions to improve our policies. Tracey also provided us with a handbook along with advice on what should be included and where it would be better to signpost from the handbook to the policy.

We are extremely pleased with the advice and guidance given by Tracey and enjoyed meeting to discuss the next steps.

Whilst reviewing this I can add that I attended an Employment Law update webinar with Alison and Jimmy which was really clear and informative.

Highly recommend Roots HR, thanks!

I worked with Tracey on our polices and contracts and she was amazingly helpful and patient. I can't thank her enough.

Ann at Roots HR has helped us accomplish a well written and comprehensive piece of work that would of taken us months to complete in just a few short weeks. Her guidance and advice has been amazing.

I am writing to express my gratitude for all your support

Worked with Roots across some policies, staff contracts and being an independent advisor as we looked at changing how we work. Can't recommend enough! Really clear, quick to respond, fairly priced and knowledgeable.

Fern at Roots HR was incredibly helpful and professional during our employment policy review. As a small charity, her flawless work and clear explanations made the process smooth and easy to understand. Thanks to Fern's support, we have an amazing new suite of policies that we are truly proud of. I highly recommend her services!

As a tiny charity, being able to access affordable HR support is vital. We have used Roots HR on multiple occasions, most recently to review a job description Time is taken to understand the brief, and the service always feels perosnal and tailored to what we need.

We recently used Roots HR to undertake an external salary benchmarking exercise for us, as well as a review on the employee benefits we offer, including a staff survey. They provided a great service throughout the process, from understanding what we wanted, checking in and seeking feedback during the exercise, to the outcome reports at the end. Very responsive and professional.

I've worked with Roots for many years and found them to be a great team to work with. Highly knowledgeable, with a broad range of expertise covering pretty much every area of HR, from the strategic to the day-to-day, from the exciting to the gnarly. Very professional and personable. Great to see the business flourishing and offering even better service, and knowing they're a social enterprise with strong values and a commitment to doing good alongside doing business makes a big difference. Most recent support was around KIT days for a mat leave colleague, but have helped with policies, restructures and salary benchmarking.

Roots HR is a very friendly, accessible and professional organisation. They offer valuable support to small charities which do not have any internal HR expertise.
