Get told in email I will receive a delivery date with tracking information. Item was supposed to be delivered today so phoned robert dyas for tracking information and got told it will be delivered tomorrow hopefully.

Just awful. Such a stressful experience with no help, empathy or care from any of the various staff I had to speak to over a 2 week period.
Ordered a lawnmower. It came in a damaged box, gaffa tape all around it and a previous customer’s label still on it!
Opened it and the strimmer was missing. The mower wasn’t even packed in any protective card. That was all just scrunched at the bottom of the box, presumably from the previous recipient before he sent it back. On off button was dirty.
I emailed them and got a reply with no apologies. Just info about yodel collecting one week from my initial contact.
The collection date comes. I’m standing outside when tracking said one stop before us. No one came. Tracking updates to say they couldn’t access property. 3 days it takes for them to arrange another collection. Same thing happens again!!!!!
So I open a PayPal dispute.
Third collection fails again. Despite it being a business address with an open reception and people on hand to help. Yodel just do not come. PayPal eventually refund me.
But Robert dyas are still trying to collect. Fourth attempt today, again we are there. Collection attempt failed for fourth time. Just farcical at this point!
Do not do not do not trust this company. I urge you to use Argos, Amazon, the range or almost anyone but them!

it is such a shame this company has now become awful.
High prices, very poor quality, dealing with multiple different subcontracting companies. Delivery advice is confusing. Returns are nearly impossible unless you want a whole day off from work having to wait for a courier who might not turn up.
It took 21 emails for me to return an item sold through Tectake limited. They are another company to avoid if you want good service.
I hate writing this, only you have been warned. There are much better, organised, efficient and cost effective companies out there. Use them and shop happily.
Customer Service Shocking
I bought a manual air fryer in November 2022 with a two year guarantee. After 18 months the timing knob sheared off making it impossible to time the food. Customer Service is useless as they refuse to replace, repair or refund me as they are supposed to do under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. After extensive emails going back and forth I have reported them to Trading Standards who advised that I should do a chargeback with my credit card company. Avoid this company.

Ordered garden furniture for a birthday BBQ, goods arrived damaged and notified RD straight away. Took over two weeks to get the goods collected and a further 3.5 weeks to get my refund. So, for 5.5 weeks had to go without any furniture, and had to send over 15 emails to constantly chase my refund, 2 phone calls taking over 45 minutes each time to get through.
This was my first and last time purchasing from RD, very poor all round

Ordered an Airfryer Digital, on a Friday 1st June 1pm in the store at Kensington High Street, immediately realised the size was too large next day Saturday returned to store told to phone customer services. Told them to cancel the item once refunded would buy a smaller item. Since that day I have called 6 times told they raised the cancellation with supplier but nothing was done. I am lstill waiting for a refund of over £109.99 I have been told lies every time I called. No refund. I am furious and upset.

Absolutely dreadful customer service. Ordered 3 outside lights, 2 of them arrived damaged. Customer service told me on the phone they would be picked up by a courier on 7.06.24. I have no confirmation in writing who by and at what time. On top of the inconvenience of having shoddy goods delivered, am I to stay in all day for a courier who may or may not turn up? I will contact my creditcard company and see if they can stop payment to Robert Dyas. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Bunch of time wasters
Ordered a portable 10ft shed to be used as temp storage during garage conversion, was meant to be despatched by one of their partners.
Few days after expected delivery date, item had not arrived and no despatch notification.
Called RD only to be told the order hasn't been sent to the partner - I already knew this because I spoke to the partner immediately before hand and was in stock.
Requested the order still be shipped as I'd already waited nearly 2 weeks for it.
Got an email following morning saying there was a system error and the suppliers can't process the order, here's a refund!
Absolutely appalling service and a complete waste of time.

I don't usually leave reviews but this is just disgusting. Theo Pathetic should be ashamed of himself. I ordered a shredder and received a used one with a broken containers and a very distressed box. Clearly secondhand. These things happen - I guess - but I cannot speak to anyone to return it, 45 minute wait on the phone, online chat is closed and I now have to do a return and await a replacement I guess. I am furious. I don't want Amazon to take over all retail sales but I do hope that Robert Dyas go bust. I will never shop there again and I hope you don't either. If you do, dont expect to be able to return faulty goods!

Good delayed by over a month. Customer services don’t answer and when they do they don’t call you back when they say they will. Trying to get a refund but they will only pay you when they get paid!
Garden bench - no exchange or refund
I ordered a garden bench. I was unable to look at it for a month due to illness. When I did, I immediately saw from the size of the box that it was too small - I did not even take it out of the box. I wanted a bigger one. Robert Dyas have a 14 day return policy and no exchanges under any circumstances. I am stuck with a brand new bench - I am buying a bigger one but NOT from Robert Dyas.

Don’t go here for on line orders. Customer service is abysmal they don’t want to know or care about your missing order. Goods confirmed delivery by 17.11.23 but alas no notice of delivery. Customer services promised to get back to me within 24 hours - they didn’t! Chased following week and said they would reorder but delivery would be 5 working days. No concern over delay or apology for not getting back to me - it’s a shame service not as prompt as they are at taking your money! Now awaiting refund.

It was Delivered on 9/01/23, The Delivery Men Refused to Unpack Even Though the Email Message Said that They Would " Put the Item in the Room of Choice, Unpack it For Our Inspection and Take the Packaging With Them"
The Certified Gas Fitter Came to Connect it on 10/01/23 which cost £80.00, But When the Cooker was Plugged Into the Mains The Cooling Fan Came ON Making a Very Loud Noise and Would`nt Go Off!
I Phoned Robert Dyas...and Eventually Someone Answered, I was Asked to send a PHOTOGRAPH OF THE NOISE!?! I was then told to go onto LIVE CHAT and Send a VIDEO, NOBODY ANSWERED LIVE CHAT, I Then Tried Sending the Video by Filling out the CONTACT US Page... After 7 Attempts as it kept saying a 10 SECOND Video was TOO LONG.. I Called them Again To be Told there was NOTHING They Could Do Without the VIDEO.
After Many Hours of Taking Video`s I got it down to 3 SECONDS...STILL NOT ACCEPTED. I Called Again the Next Morning and was Told AS I Was`nt the Purchaser There Was Nothing They could Do.. I Explained My Husband is Unable to Speak on the Phone But it Made NO DIFFERENCE... HE HAD TO CALL. I Tried LIVE CHAT Again and Managed to get the Video ON... INCLUDING a PHOTO Of A TOTALLY EXPLODED & ROTTED FUSE In the PLUG! But Again I was Told Because I DID`NT PAY FOR IT... My Husband Had To Call!!
On The 3rd Day Of TRYING to get the Problem Sorted Out I Eventually Had An Agent willing to Help.... On Friday the 6th an Email came through at 19:30 That We had To Contact LEISURE... I Replied to the Email Stating I PURCHASED IT From Robert Dyas, I Got a Reply 2 days Later Saying LEISURE DID`NT DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS ..I HAD TO CONTACT BEKO, AGAIN I said It was DOWN to Robert Dyas to Sort Out. On Monday 16th January.. I Called Beko, The Agent ..Who was More Interested Eating Her Sweet Than Speaking To ME.. Booked an Engineer for the 18th January, on the17th January The Engineer was Cancelled (NOT BY ME!) and Re-Booked for 23rd JANUARY!! WE NOW have to Wait ATLEAST ANOTHER WEEK AS A BRAND NEW COOKER NEEDS PARTS... WHICH have to be ORDERED!!
So We As Pensioners.. in Our 70`s, A Husband Who Has Had 4 Heart Attacks with a Wife with Severe Spinal Problems and Arthritis and BOTH are Diabetic Have Been LEFT After Paying £1099 for the Cooker and £80 For the Certified Gas Engineer DURING THE COLDEST WEATHER WITHOUT A COOKER FOR A MINIMUM of 3 WEEKS!!!

Not even worth 1 star , ordered a bed from this company and cancelled it within the hour as found it cheaper elsewhere,,I did ask for a price match but they weren't willing to do this so I asked for the bed to be cancelled,,waited ages for a response so phoned the place when they opened at 9am to be told that the email had been sent to the supplier to cancel the bed and I would be refunded my money £240 between 12/24 hours ,,great I thought ,, only to receive an email this morning to say the bed has been dispatched!!! Called them again and as usual with these people they pass the buck ,,how hard was it for them to cancel a bed !! So now I've been told when the bed arrives just to refuse it 🙄 customer service is absolutely appalling and what you are getting told on messenger chat is completely different to what your getting told on the phone. I am now left to try and contact courier to sort this mess out and was offered no assistance with this what so ever. PLEASE DONT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES
Wrong product delivered, poor customer service
I ordered some paint and the wrong colour and finish was delivered. I have spent two weeks sending emails to customer services but I still do not have the replacement product or an indication when I can expect to receive it. Customer services are reactive rather than proactive. Robert Dyas need to get their act together and ensure their external suppliers are not jeopardising their brand or their contractual commitments with their customers. I will be escalating this matter.

Would have awarded Robert Dyas customer services nil if TrustPilot scoring had permitted. Reported a faulty garden parasol after learning of damage upon using it first time 19 days after delivery. Advised by supplier that recompense only applicable if fault is reported within 48 hours of delivery, may as well have burned my money ,£36.99.
