Sales Rep Malik is knowledgeable with a sustainability& technical as well as sales background. He was so helpful & went beyond expectations in dealing with customer support to ensure that all my questions were answered in detail. Prices are competitive & the whole process was seamless & highly efficient. The installation was brilliantly done & explained in detail. Installation Staff, Conner & Alex are highly trained & full of initiative in overcoming minor problems. The wiring was neat & mostly hidden from view. They even ran the cables underneath my pavioured back yard & replaced every bit properly & cleanly. Well done REST team!

Took us through the full fit process.
The lads took the utmost care and attention when working fitting the kit. very clean and tidy. Always chcking we were happy with all elements of the job. You don,t see that very much these days. They left happy and we were very happy. Now looking forward to seeing the savings on our electicity bills. REST UK were very informative, helpful, prompt and efficient. Aaron explained things very clearly which helped me choose what to do, and answered all questions comprehensively. The team did all the background work very efficiently and thoroughly; and their customer service and liaison were very helpful and responsive (Michael, Asfan and Tom).
The installers Soloarvolt Bridlington, Calvin and Mark were exceptional. Very efficient, knowledgable, friendly and tidy. I would highly recommend the whole package.

Excellent experience from consultation to install
I recently had my solar panels installed by REST, and I wanted to share my experience following the full journey from start to finish.
The process began with a home visit from Ashley, who is extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything in simple, easy-to-understand terms without using industry jargon. I felt fully informed and comfortable with the system being recommended.
Following the initial consultation, I did have a couple of questions, and Ashley responded very promptly - the level of customer service was excellent and really reassuring.
Importantly, everything he said would happen has happened exactly as promised.
From there, the installation process was very well organised. The quote included everything - from scaffolding right through to the final install - so there were no hidden costs or surprises along the way, which I really appreciated.
On installation day, the engineers were excellent. They were professional, friendly, and happy to answer all of my questions. They worked efficiently and made sure everything was done properly, leaving no mess behind once the job was complete.
The final finish is outstanding - very neat and tidy, which matters a lot to me! You can really tell care has been taken with the workmanship.
Since the installation, I’ve been monitoring my usage over the last few days. Even though we haven’t had the sunniest weather, the system has already delivered around 97% self-sufficiency, which is fantastic to see.
Overall, the whole experience has been smooth, professional, and exactly as described from the beginning. I would highly recommend REST to anyone considering solar.

Just had the Rest install my new solar…
i'm amending my original review due to a couple of reasons, firstly when the team landed on site it was agreed that they would be removing the old panels and putting one new set in its place, the fitter told me he was not down to do this and that putting them on the other side of the roof would be just as effective ! this is not the case. my old panels produce more electric in the morning than the new system ! also with having the panels up through some of the brightest days this year ive had at most 4.9kw of the 10kw that the panels should produce.
all this aside im not complaining about the install its self as this was very neat and tidy.

Faults with Duracell Batteries & Inverter…
I Got My Duracell Batteries & Inverter fitted by a Company Rest UK uses when you buy from them in September 2025, I had an issue in March 2026 concerning Inverter & it was sorted within 2wks by The Company who fitted my System, but I have had a similar issue again on 3.5.26 & I cannot use my full batteries due to issue with inverter, I got InTouch with the fitters & they told me it is an issue with Rest UK & when I got InTouch with them they mentioned it could be an inverter issue & would sort it, I have phoned & msgd Rest UK on a regular basis trying to find out what is happening & they have either not replied to my msgs or not answered my phone calls.
It is 17.5.26 today.

Be very wary of this company
Be very wary of this company. I made it clear to the salesman I was going to get 3 quotes. But I fell for the spiel. They say when would you like it installed . I was in no rush. He came up with a price so I asked if they could do better. Oh I will call my boss ... If you have it installed in 13 days I can give you a great discount as we have a job in the next town so dont need extra scaffolding etc. Now this is all a sales technique, And I fell for it . I spoke to my son and asked his advice and decided to cancel. When trying to cancel 14 hrs later, yes hours not days. They have kept a chunk of my deposist saying I signed a waiver. So 14 days cooling off period doesn't apply apparently, as the fitting would have been in the cooling off period (please note no work was carried out) Yes they told me about the system I was getting but the contract was not explained and the waiver wasn't mentioned. They flew through the contract online just saying sign here sign here, I feel well and truly screwed over.
Looking back the whole spiel was that of a dodgy double glazing sales . Stay clear or certainly don't fall for the getting it installed quickly gets you a discount
I can't seem to reply to your reply. At no stage was this explained to us, and basically it was a rushed sales tactic. Offering a discount as YOU would be saving money on installation costs due to doing work near by. I said I was in no rush for installation . We did not see the waiver, the signing of contract was a rushed affair, as explained above. If we had been told about the waiver that would of thrown up alarm bells. And I was under the impression 14 days calling of period applied.

Unfortunately, you decided to proceed with the fast-fit installation option and signed the contract and waiver in relation to that.
You are now leaving us a 1-star review because you no longer wanted to proceed, which we do not feel is fair. At no point during the appointment did you raise any complaints about the service provided or the conduct of our representative, so we feel this review is unnecessary and does not reflect the actual service you received.
You cancelled the day after signing up and, as clearly outlined within the contract you signed, works and preparations for the installation begin immediately under the fast-fit process. When you contacted us to cancel, we explained that costs had already been incurred on our end and therefore part of the deposit would need to be retained in line with the agreement you signed.
You agreed to this in order to proceed with the cancellation, and we have all communications confirming this. It was only after your refund was processed that this 1-star review was left.
We have simply followed the agreed procedure relating to the fast-fit installation option that was signed and authorised by yourself.

Pushy sales
Hi, I wanted to give -5 star to this company as it derailed my solar journey.
I had appointment with sales rep on 27-Jan. First he was over an hour late.
He explained about the company and went straight into finance. I kept asking questions about solar panels, battery capacity etc, but he was more into selling with offering loads of offers. He started the price from 12k and came down to 10k. Offered a battery free.
When I told him allow me a day or two time to think on it, he became very annoyed and pushy. He even ran a hard search on my credit profile which I hadn't agreed at all. I had to complain to the lender and the company to get hard check removed.
Due to this really bad sales tactics, and unauthorized hard check on my profile without my consent I am not sure if they really do any job. You can see there are less than 80% 5 star for this company and I can imagine all 1 star experience pain.

We chose REST
Having looked at the various suppliers I chose REST to provide a quote. The calculations were clear and accurate and the quote clearly laid out. Having decided to use REST, I was pleased with the speed that the process moved at, and the ‘checks and balances’ along the way to ensure we had understood all aspects. The scaffolders were very good and professional. The installers equally so, ensuring we were kept informed throughout the process.
Post installation, access to the control/info app was immediate. Back up and support is clearly available.
Every person we have dealt with has been helpful and friendly. Everyone has different expectations but I wanted a reputable company that works within trade assured conditions at a reasonable price. That’s what I got, the system is very tidily installed and doing what is says on the tin. I would recommend REST.

Even though the order was cancelled…
Even though the order was cancelled before the deposit was taken, the company still took the deposit. The phone number on the website and in the email communication do not work. Have spoken to the salesman and he is trying to get a refund with no success

We can not process a deposit without permission, particularly as it is you that would have needed to provide your card details to us in order for the deposit to be processed.
Unfortunately, after the deposit was processed, you failed the finance checks, and so the order was cancelled.
It appears you were trying to reach out to us out-of-hours on a bank holiday weekend in order to resolve this and request a refund.
Despite the fact that you reached out to us regarding a refund out of hours, we were able to action your card transaction refund for you immediately on Saturday evening.
Your money should be back in your account in the next few business days. It might take a little longer than normal because of the bank holiday, though.

From the first contact with their sales manager I experienced the depth of the technical knowledge and customer focus and care . The follow up site meeting and survey provided a detailed installation plan on equipment as well as clear information on the benefits the tailored design would bring. There services, product and aftercare customer support were clearly defined.
The journey from contract to installation was supported with a WhatsApp group addressing answers to questions quickly as well as providing installation project dates which confirmed and fully met..
