This is a scam operation - watch for threats of CCJs!

This is a scam operation. They charge over the top for everything £50 for rubbish wifi when we could have got a deal half that price direct with free months. Add charges for anything and everything. None of their invoices match up - they change the figures and add standing charges on top. If you have a query and you finally manage to get hold of an 'advisor' they cannot do anything to help and just fob you off. Overcharged me and my housemates different amounts. Took money from our accounts and my parents (as they had paid a previous instalment once) AFTER I HAD LEFT THE CONTRACT and the house. They also filed a claim with the court. Please check what they have written about you - they completely lied and I am still fighting it. Don't accept anything they say is the truth and they lie, lie, lie. And scam, scam, scam. Worst experience ever. You are so much better dealing with the utility companies direct!

Stressful!

The worst company ever. Caused so much stress in my uni house as some housemates were overcharged. Some were not charged at all. The links they send don't work. Nor does the live chat. You have to spend hours on hold to get through and the call centre staff are rude, say one thing then contradict what they say the next time and give misleading information and incorrect figures. Then they say they you are going to get a CCJ unless you pay hefty admin and court charges. They are horrendous and I wish we never signed up with them. Caused me so much extra stress during uni.

Scam company

Excruciating to deal with. Threats of CCJ. Incorrect bills and overcharging with incorrect amounts. Sent me another customers personal information. Do not answer any communications then proceed with court action saying there has been no contact. When you do finally get to talk to an adviser they are inept and cannot take payments. Because of this I borrowed another family member's card and they proceeded to take fraudulent payments from her card despite her having nothing to do with Resooma. When I say they are awful they are the worst company I have EVER dealt with. Just don't do it - you don't need the extra stress in your life!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Rather than make life easier for my son and his housemates they charged incorrect prices to some and did not charge others demanding a huge bill at the end. They charged late fees when their links and website would not work. USE ANOTHER SERVICE - this company is diabolical.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Sent emails saying we were using too much energy over Christmas (we were not even at the property) then continued to send us even more emails saying the same thing despite us keeping our energy usage to an absolute minimum. After our tenancy they then said we owed them an additional £150 each. Stay away at all costs. Con artists

Landlord (bills package) - Dreadful experience and absolutely…

Dreadful experience and absolutely terrible customer service. Nobody answers the phones no matter what day or time you call - it either cuts out after 30 mins on hold or you press 1 for a ‘callback’ which they never follow up on.

They have a ‘live chat’ on their website which opens up but doesn’t give you an option anywhere to type or create a new chat.

The only option is email which takes a week or so to hear back (if you do) and that’s not helpful when you have an urgent enquiry (like asking why there’s over £3,000 outstanding balance on two properties despite all payments being up-to-date and confirmed with them and their partners (Huddle Utilities & TruEnergy - also avoid them both!)

Resoom are terrible

Resoom are terrible! Been ringing for 2 weeks and no answer from anyone. Keep saying they will call back but they never ever do. Our wifi could not be installed today due to external works needed and I had received no communication for resooma about this. Awful company and regret ever going with them!

Resooma owes us over £500

My son used Resooma for his rental property that ended on June 30th 2025. He got a final bill from Resooma in July showing a credit of over £500 that Resooma said they would repay in August.

We are now in October and my son has not received his refund. Resooma claim it is because we cancelled the direct debit too soon, but that is not our issue.

Resooma asked us to call then. We have tried twice and both times we have not been able to get through. We also used their call back service but they have never called back.

We can't use the Resooma chat facility on their website because it does not work. It does not allow us to type anything in.

Resooma sent an email to my son asking him to update payment details using their website. When we tried to use this, it did not work.

It feels like Resooma are purposefully making it difficult for my son to get his money back. They have never tried to call my son, they have never been proactive in trying to process the refund.

So we are still waiting for Resooma to pay back over £500. We have asked them to contact my son by close of business tomorrow, October 6th 2025, otherwise we will have to go to the energy ombudsman for help.

Know what you're getting into...

I am finally in the position where my contract with Resooma is over. Never again will I be using their services.

They're very insistent on taking payments yet will not call you back or provide any evidence that your bills are actually being paid. I was contacted by another company which supplied our flat block threatening debt collectors for unpaid bills of which Resooma did not pay forward to the supplier even after weeks of hassling and updating. This happened for months and left us with the question: what are they doing with our money which they continue to take each month at a set rate (regardless of the meter readings I sent).

On top of this, they charge the absolute maximum they can get away with, being £1000 per person for the year in a 3-man flat.

Customer service was utterly terrible. you will be sat in hours of queues on the phone or stuck talking to unhelpful employees in the chat box on the website, which, by the way, almost never actually allows you to upload meter readings and I had to email many of my readings in.

I would not recommend Resooma to my worst enemy and it is by far the worst bills experience I have ever had.

DO NOT USE

They were fine for a couple months, however in January we started receiving emails saying we were exceeding our allowance and they were increasing our payments as a result from approximately 60 pounds each to 95. Despite the increased payments and a concerted effort to absolutely minimise any energy usage (no heating and little use of kitchen appliances) we continued to receive emails stating we were over our allowance. We sent them dozens of emails and were left on hold countless times with no solution ever offered. They reached out one last time however after we had cancelled our direct debits to give us a large bill with a charge for us not paying and no apology or explanation, despite their absolute failure to play their role in our contract. I have never had a worse experience with any company in my life and beg any potential customer to turn away.
Not only have they stole my money with no explanation, they made the experience extremely stressful and utterly infuriating.

Stay away

The company were fine but started to send us all random emails saying we were using over our allowance, which we weren’t as we were all out the house. After the contact ended I realized they had been taking more money out of my account each month. That then tried to charge us all more at the end of the contact. We have all tried to call and email many many times and don’t even get a response. I am now out of pocket and they are tryinr to take more money again.

Never received final bill, still owed £800

My housemate and I paid a significant amount each month to resooma with the knowledge that any overpayments would be settled at the end of the contract. Our contract ended 13 months ago and we have still not received our final bill and are owed a significant amount of money because our energy usage was very very low.
Throughout the past year I have tried to chase this up but they are extremely difficult to contact. Each time I am told they will look into it and get back to me and they never do. Recently, I sent a formal complaint and request for this to be resolved and was told I am not the authorised account holder so they cannot discuss the account with me. I created the account for the house!
They operate under multiple names so do not use Resooma, Billing Better, or Homebox for your bills! Better to pay directly to suppliers.

All of the five star reviews are FAKE

All of the five star reviews are because you are literally bribed by the company when you first join to give them a good review. I know because i was bribed (although at the time, they were quick to respond to issues and sorted us out quickly.) However soon after this they stop responding entirely to any messages and for some have shown to not have been paying bills at all. Never ever ever use this company.

The Most Useless and Dishonest Company I’ve Ever Dealt With

Resooma is without question the most incompetent, exploitative company I’ve ever come across. Their entire business model seems to rely on misleading students, charging them twice, and hoping they won’t notice.

I was on their fixed-rate Lite plan ( £63.51/month ) which was supposed to include all utilities, broadband, and admin. I paid it on time for 5 months and moved out in January. I followed the process, cancelled my direct debit, and thought that was the end of it.

Instead, they kept charging me after I left, claiming they hadn’t heard from the new tenant. Apparently, unless I personally chase the person who replaced me, I’m financially liable for a property I don’t live in. Completely absurd.

Then came the final bill: £523.99 for the exact same 5-month period I’d already paid for. They claimed I still owed £206.44, because they decided, without my consent, to scrap the fixed-rate plan and rebill me for every single utility, including broadband (again) and admin fees (again). No mention of overuse. No explanation. Just a full, itemised invoice as if I hadn’t paid a penny.

This is not an oversight. This is systemic, calculated double billing. They are knowingly invoicing people for services they’ve already paid for and not just utilities, but flat-rate items like Wi-Fi and admin, which by definition cannot be “overused.”

They make it incredibly difficult to get a clear answer, delay formal acknowledgement of your move-out, and leave you chasing emails for months. Meanwhile, they’re still taking money from your account and quietly loading on extra charges, hoping you’ll give up.

They prey on students and rely on confusion, silence, and inaction. If this wasn’t happening to me, I honestly wouldn’t believe a company could function like this in 2025.

Avoid Resooma at all costs. They are disorganised, predatory, and completely untrustworthy. If you do get involved with them, document everything, and prepare to fight to get your own money back.

1 star would be far too generous for this DREADFUL company. Terrible customer service, never answer the phone (impossible to get hold of). Yet are extremely persistent at sending emails issuing court proceedings against students! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. The worst experience.

Avoid: They don't appear to pay for energy used

18 months after moving out and we're now being chased by a debt collection company for unpaid energy bills to another energy company. It appears Resooma never paid on the money we were paying them, and trying to contact anyone is totally impossible.
These people are taking advantage of students and leaving them with massive debts and a poor credit history.
